    Acai Bowl

Small spot with not much seating and not much variety for their bowls either. It tasted good but would pick other smoothie bowl places before returning here

I really like Deep Purpl's ideology. Vegan goodness is evident all around. The new Gold Coast location is great. It's not far from where I live, has easy street parking and is close to public transportation. The small shop with large street front windows is connected to a residential building. It is bright and clean and comfortable for a grab and go. The lady at the counter was efficient and got the job done. She wasn't overly friendly but was helpful just the same. They were only offering 3 flavors of empanadas today. I bought all 3 for us to share. I loved the Margherita. The Tinga and the Chorizo were super spicy. The texture of the baked crust was perfect. I also tried a Deep Purpl smoothie. Yum!!

Lovely staff, clean, and our açaí "bowls" were great. Unlimited toppings for same price. However, it was $9 which was about $1/oz so not really worth it in my opinion. But fun!

Quick and easy service!! Very tasty and fresh açaí!! Went there twice during our 3 day vacation. Very friendly staff!

I've been to this deep purpl location twice and had terrible experiences both times. The first time they didn't have my online order and the second time the door was wide open but there wasn't anyone working inside. I waited for 10 minutes and left. Such a shame because the Lincoln park location is great.

I do love their acai and used to get it almost every day, BUT recently it's been a total scam. I get the 20oz (which is quite expensive) and they give almost zero fruit. I mean seriously you can afford to give me a more than 2 kiwi pieces. Don't think I'll be going back anytime soon

    Small Acai Bowl

The açaí was good and the employees are nice but , The portion is tiny. I have attached an image compared to a grande Starbucks drink it even looks bigger in that photo , it is tiny for $10 , It is expensive for the portion size you receive. I would recommend this place but keep mind it can get pricy + they charge for extra toppings.

Since they're now an Amazon subsidiary you can return your purchases here on the second floor, just outside the parking garage. It's a grocery store so they have all the things you'd expect of a grocery store, of course. In the center of the store there's an area that maybe has wine (it seemed a little closed off, which is why I suspect this). There's also some tables in the coffee bar area near the north entrance, and they have sandwiches, pizza, a hot bar, and other prepared foods available. A couple of the sandwiches looked pretty good and I was about to get one before we decided to go somewhere else for a bite to eat.

That's worked for me since 1986 - why flip the script now? We dipped in here to get some food to go before happy houring at the brewery next door. We made a beeline for the hot bar. I'm sure in its freshest glory it's perfect. Somehow when we got there at 430 we were somehow between the after lunch rush and the before dinner quiet because many of the dishes were looking worse for the wear. Tighten up Chicago. New York would neva! Still, the general tsos knockoff, meatloaf, and mac n cheese were noteworthy. By the time we got done we spent $45 on the hot bar. Is it billionaires' greed or my own thats ruining my finances? We may never know. (We do: it's them). This location had a peanut butter cookie that has haunted my dreams for 3 weeks. I've been to 3 WF back in NJ looking for it and none of them have it. Welp just gives me a reason to return to Chicago. My brother is hardly the draw.

This is a smaller format store than I'm used to, but this isn't a negative, nor is it something I can fault them for. Besides, I b elieve there's another location in Wilmette that is larger (I think). As with the Hingham, MA location, there is a lot to love. They have healthier, local, and small-batch items. The shelves are generally well-stocked, though there was a small handful of items that were completely out. There is also a large selection of prepared items, be it cold to take home or hot to eat right then and there. The staff I've worked with so far has been kind and friendly. Cleanliness-wise, I find the store is very clean. However, there was one visit where the area in the back by the coolers was unpleasantly musty. As far as I can tell, this was a one-off. What does make TFM a little less stellar is their prices. Look, I have no issue paying premium prices for premium products. However, when the same can of peas or jar of Nutella costs significantly more, I'm a little less thrilled. With this, TFM works great as a supplement to my usual grocer. This is especially true for prepared items, quality meats, and, of course, snacks! However, the more limited selection and high prices mean it isn't a full replacement for my regular grocer, yet.

I recalled when someone told me that you could go to Mariano's for meals cooked at the store. They told me that you could select a cut of beef, and they would grill it at the store for you. When I was in school, I went with this precise plan in mind to this Mariano's at 333 East Benton Place in Chicago. I had a lady friend accompanying me. We selected well-marbalized and excellent-appearing steaks. We also chose a bottle of wine. The food was high quality, and it was fun. Whomever grilled the steaks did an excellent job. We also found wine that was good quality and not too expensive, which was great on a student buget. For a grocery store, I thought this was an awesome experience. Mariano's stores have a classy vibe. They exude an aura of quality. Their stores have an excellent ambiance. When I walk in, I notice the stores are well-organized with phenomenal displays. I value that Mariano's stores typically have a wide variety and selection. I have appreciated the ability to obtain prepared foods at Mariano's, including delicacies like sushi. I have found other great prepared foods at Mariano's that I enjoyed a lot, e.g,. succulent beef pot roast. It is fantastic that Mariano's have self checkout kiosks, which can help with convenience. I have never experienced this at any other grocery store in my life. I have been shopping at this particular Mariano's since 2013 and I spend many thousands of dollars every single year at this particular Mariano's. This is an upscale grocery store in an affluent neighborhood and the residents of this community pay your high prices every day, so how about replacing the freezer so I no longer have to buy soft melted unfrozen ice cream and then take it home where I have to put it in my freezer and freeze it before I can eat it because the poor customer service management will not replace a freezer that very clearly needs replacing. This is not good customer service and amounts to poor store management and poor treatment of customers. I mean, I can buy frozen ice cream from the ice cream man that is frozen and not melted, so why can't I buy frozen ice cream at my neighborhood grocery store??
