I walked into Bru in my two tone Caleb Williams jersey that I bought from a Mexican street vendor the day before, drenched in sweat and mud after running routes over at Wicker Park. It may have just been the jersey, but I was DEALIN. I threw like 9 TDs and only 1 pick. I was in dire need of some protein after such a dominant performance, so I went with the Purple Line smoothie that consisted of strawberries, blueberries, peanut butter, and vanilla whey protein. $11.50 before tax and tip was a little steep in my opinion, but it was delicious. What a lovely cafe!!! The food is excellent!! I loved my California breakfast crepe, with eggs, cheese, spinach, avocado and a chipotle sauce. The presentation is lovely and the paper holder can peel as you eat it so it won't make a mess. My iced lavender latte was tasty too. Cool vibes here. The ambiance is chill. Lots of seating, plush chairs, fun chandeliers and decor. Chill music in the background. It's a good place to get some remote work done. Friendly service and positive atmosphere.
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and I ordered a california bfast crepe. It was very tasty and filling! They have lots of tables to sit and study at. The service was kind and friendly. I will def come back here to study, drink coffee/matcha, and for their amazing crepes again! Street parking on this part of Milwaukee is a hit or miss.

My friends and I visited here yesterday. We each ordered crepes and two of us ordered coffees. The crepes, although overpriced, were DELICIOUS. I had the vegan tofu crepe and it was really good. All of us really enjoyed our crepes, but like most reviews, we felt with the exception of the lox crepe my friend ordered that our crepes were on the overpriced side. My feeling is that these crepes are paying the rent here. It's Wicker Park and it's a great location. For a rice crepe with tofu and vegetables with a cup of coffee was $23. From a costing point of under a $1 to create (rice, tofu and veggies are dirt cheap) the markup on these crepes is ridiculous when you actually think about it. That being said, the crepes cost more than just the price of ingredients. You have front and back of the house costs to factor in. It just feels like this food is on average $3 more than it should be. They have the constant traffic and I don't think they are struggling to pay the bills. I had also ordered the lavender white chocolate mocha and my friend the pumpkin spice. Neither of us could taste any flavor at all in our coffees. The coffee itself wasn't mind blowing and this is a coffeehouse! Very, MID. It wasn't awful and it was great. There was no flavor AT ALL of Lavender or white chocolate. It just tasted like regular drip coffee mixed with oat milk. I ended up just throwing it away. I was disappointed as the profile sounded great. When I shared that my coffee had no flavor, my friend stated that in her coffee she couldn't taste anything remotely pumpkin spice and hers tasted like regular coffee and cream. The staff was not able to be the most outgoing as they just seemed very busy the entire time we were there. There wasn't any small talk, interacting or anything. It was like everyone there had 5 jobs to do. While I was there, I never saw a single worker free from tasks long enough for any small talk or interaction with the customers. Just stopping long enough to take an order and back to work. Even when going to use the restroom, I had to bother a barista diligently pumping out coffee orders. Customers never want to feel like we are bothering employees. Get more employees and let these people breathe. Other than that, the place is clean. Great vantage points for people watching inside and out. The interior has a cool, hip look about it. It's located right next to Myopic Bookstore and would be a great place for first dates and catching up.
I paid $7 for a 12 oz iced latte (which already means this better smack) and I can barely taste the syrup AND the cup is absolutely teeny tiny. It's not the size of a regular coffee, it's like extra small and skinny toward the bottom for no reason other than to scam you out of getting a regular sized latte. Not worth the money at all. Pls just go to Colombe or something, I'm so sad
I came here for the first time and tried their honey yuzu matcha. It definitely has the yuzu flavor so I liked it. I took off a point because service was slow even though I was the only one. This is a cute spot for a date or hanging out, just set aside some time to get your items. There is a lot of space for people to do homework or work.
You know, good. Wacky decor that all send a bit off kilter, but it works. I wouldn't say service was fast, but it was friendly.
Highly recommend this spot! Bru offers a variety of sweet and savory crepes - as someone who makes my own crepes at home, I am very impressed with the quality of Bru's. They are thin and delicious with crispy edges! We were also helped by a very nice barista. Overall, service, food, and vibes are great!

The Place Has A Super Cute Vibe--Vintage Decor With Comfy Couches That Make It Inviting To Sit And Relax. I Ordered A 12oz Latte With Almond Milk And Pistachio. The Total Came To A Hefty $7.94, And After Tipping, I Paid Over $8 For A Small Coffee. From The Time I Received My Drink To Finishing It Was About Three Minutes. The First Sip Was Delicious But Lukewarm, And Before I Knew It, The Coffee Was Cold. For The Price, I Expected Perfection, Or At Least A Properly Hot Cup Of Coffee. It's Disappointing That Such A Premium-Priced Drink Didn't Deliver On The Basics. While The Atmosphere Is Charming, I Won't Be Returning To Bru. For That Cost, Every Cup Should Be Flawless.

Brü Chicago was such a lovely find! I stopped by for breakfast and tried the California Breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. Tasted fresh, light, and perfectly balanced. The staff were incredibly friendly. Definitely a spot I'd happily come back to while in Chicago! I had take out but the dining area seemed nice enough too! I found this gem of a coffee shop located just next to Myopic Bookstore. Beverages: 5/5. You can't do espresso wrong, and it's a perfect mid-afternoon pick me up for further urban exploration. It's Lenten season, so throughout March I've been exploring more vegetarian options. After finding out that Bloom Chicago was temporarily closed, my sister and I decided to check out Bru Chicago at 1562 N. Milwaukee Ave., right in the heart of Wicker Park. The first thing I noticed was how cute the space is. It has a cozy café vibe with plenty of seating, soft pillows, and even an overflow area in the back. The warm brown tones throughout the space make it feel inviting and comfortable, perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. I also have to give a big shoutout to the staff. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and very knowledgeable about the menu. It was my first time trying this style of food, but my sister (who was visiting from El Paso) was more familiar and helped guide us a bit. We ordered rice crêpe and shared an açaí bowl, and I was genuinely blown away by both. I got the tofu rice crêpe, which were perfectly seasoned, honestly one of the most delicious things I've had all month. I practically inhaled them. As for the açaí bowl, I had mine with strawberries and dragon fruit, and it felt like a full-on discovery. I couldn't believe something dairy-free could taste that good. It was refreshing, flavorful, and honestly a bit of a revelation, I can't wait to have another one. Overall, my first experience at Bru Chicago was excellent. I have no complaints. I'll definitely be back, recommending it to friends, and making it a go-to spot for lunch or getting work done. An easy 5 out of 5 stars. read more

Really chill vibe, hip music, cool comfy interior you can spend hours in, almost fair prices, tons of millennials or younger. Gluten free crepes from sweet to savory with killer choices like crème brûlée which is Excellent BTW. Also had the chicken teriyaki - lots of greens and fresh pickled veggies. I can eat this guilt free. One caveat it's Sunday at 2pm almost no seat open. Almost - so keep that in mind. read more

We chilled at Bru Chicago before our flight. It's convenient located near the train station on the way to O'Hare. The vibe of the coffee shop was amazing and cozy especially on a rainy Chicago day. It's a good place to have meetings and also do some work since there's outlets around the store. The staff was nice and they gave good recommendations. The coffee was really good. But if you're not a fan of coffee they have smoothie options. Will definitely come again next time. read more
Brü Chicago was a pleasant place to relax and do some work. The ambiance is amazing- warm, homey, restful. There's a section in the back that's low and intimate, perfect for studying or for a thoughtful conversation. The service is very nice, the staff are all so friendly and the crepes are tasty too! Omg, can I rate a place 10 stars?? I'd say it's one of the best coffee shop, beverages and definitely the best crepe shop I've ever been to. I had the goat cheese crepe, and immediately went back and tried the teriyaki crepe. I really loved how they were able to make everything so vegan-friendly really quickly. They served the crepes perfectly - huge, and while it's on the pricey side, the quality makes it definitely worth the money. I thought the staff were also super sweet and attentive. I feel like what makes Bru special is that they literally thought of everything. Even the mismatched antique chairs and couches work with the chandeliers. I loved the atmosphere and I come to do light work/studying as it never seems to get too loud inside. Some people also meet up for crepes - honestly, it's also the best place to go after a workout also. Seriously try it, you won't regret it!! read more
Absolutely love the unique crepe concept here! We got the English breakfast crepe and it had so much flavor and the ingredients were so fresh with the tomatoes and greens too. We also got the açaí bowl and it was the perfect smoothie bowl texture with good toppings! Both are reasonably priced also. The coffee drinks are sooooo good too! The cappuccino was perfect and so was the matcha. Such good foam on the top. There are lots of seating options and great space to work too. I love the fancy chandeliers and cool light fixtures. Was in the neighborhood looking for a treat that wasn't too decadent. I saw that Bru had crepes and that sounded like the perfect treat at the time. I was pleased to see that their Rice Crepes are Gluten-Free. We ordered a Wild Berry Mascarpone Crepe that hit the spot. The interior of this place is beautiful, and I would love to try some of their specialty drinks sometime. read more

This was our first time here and we opted for smoothies and açaí bowls. The total for a smoothie, açaí bowl and a coffee was almost $30. Honestly it felt steep to me considering the portions were relatively small. The space itself is large, offering plenty of seating! They do have crepes, and I'd be interested in trying those. The decor is beautiful, if not a bit confusing. Definitely worth it for a cute picture. It was nearly impossible to find a seat, as every table was taken up by people working on their computers (not eating.) The service was not particularly friendly but our food did come out quickly. I got the blue cheese crepe and literally did not put it down from the first bite, it was amazing and I will be returning for that. Would love to see some regulation on using tables to work though. read more

Great crepes and coffee. Their latte was great when I had it before but this time around it was okay. I wish I could remember which barista made it because it was soooo good - probably the best I've had in Chicago. I also love the fact that the food is certified halal which makes it inclusive for a large segment of people who have dietary restrictions. The coffee shop itself is cute and perfect for a hang or studying! Would definitely go again. read more

Me and my girlfriend love to try new places, this winter especially we've enjoyed going to different coffee shops. For just a fun little casual date. We have walked past Bru Chicago plenty of times just because it's in a prime location in Wicker Park. My girlfriend's been before and we decided we wanted to stop by to grab some coffee and just we brought our laptops in and wanted to catch up on some work. The atmosphere there is super cozy, super cute, with very antique old-school-ish vibes which we really liked. We sat by these benches which had outlets, which was very helpful for us as we were doing remote work. However, on the bench side of our chairs, the cushion just wasn't very comfortable for long-term seating, which I am not sure if that's their goal or not to kind of get people a little bit in and out quicker. However for our purpose, we definitely wanted seating that was a little bit more up to par with catching up on work and staying for a little bit while enjoying our coffee. All in all, however, the coffee was super good. I mean it was no complaints about it at all. We'd be back just cause we're in Wicker Park often. There's tons of coffee shops to check out and I think it's definitely worth checking this place out. It's on our list. read more

What a unique place! In the middle of busy storefronts, cars, bikes and trains in Milwaukee St. Wicker Park, Chicago. If you're visiting, you must come here. Good relaxed vibe, great drinks and foods. Very clean and fun. Music plays fun tunes as part of the ambiance. Some people come to study and work here, others to eat and meet up friends. The staff is very friendly and patient with first comers. read more
The drink was very good and refreshing, not to mention fulling too because of the vegan protein which is a great pro! They do have lots of other good drink options as well as a wide variety of rice crepes (that are zabiha halal!) in a cone. The atmosphere is chill with lots of seating options to work, study, or just hang out. They're also a rare coffee/chill spot that's open late in the city. Highly recommend! read more

Absolutely incredible gluten free crepes. Shop has a great atmosphere and staff are very attentive and check every order for allergies. Drinks are also great but the crepes are the star. They are beautifully served and delicious! read more
Love this place! The vibes are so cute with the hats and chandeliers! Coffee and dragon bowl was ready very fast, within 3 minutes. I got an iced vanilla latte which is now one of my favorites I have had in the city. The dragon bowl was Perfect. Very large, I love when cashews on on there as a topping. They also have a big back room, plenty of seating. This would be a cute place to work from! Will be coming back! read more
