Such a cute cafe. I came for the plant vibes. My friend and I sat on the couch in the back and just chatted away over our beverages. I also brought crochet to work on. It's not too loud or crowded. Great place to hangout. The menu is interesting too. Lots of boost juices and fun coffee combos. I got the dragon rose which was a latte with a strong fresh rose essence. The espresso hits you first, then you have a hint of floral and the aftertaste of fresh rose petal aroma really hits you. The mug and latte art are also a plus. We also tried a sample of their new chai walnut cake. I was worried because many vegan desserts tend to use dates as a textural base but this was a simple cream chocolaty mousse with crunchy walnut pieces. No funky taste or binding ingredients, felt very natural, lightweight and not too sweet. The fig on top should also add a fresh fruity tang. They had more options in store than on their website so definitely check out their menu in store before deciding! Excited to try more in the future

Cute spot with friendly service, lots of sunshine, plants and seating. Great smoothies (I had the papaya mint and yum!), counter culture coffee (next time!), and a case of delicious looking vegan desserts. A nice addition to the neighborhood.

Blueberry Bee smoothie -- absolute love! Immediately feel the Vitamin C, radiance boost when drinking because they use real fruits only. - A hand holds a purple smoothie in a clear cup with a green straw, in front of a potted plant inside a café with modern decor.

Frera has the best smoothies in Chicago! An immediate sense of radiance is felt after drinking their smoothies because they use 100% real fruits and nuts. They're priced extremely affordable considering this (less than $10!). Their coffee menu is even more affordable (less than $5). Seating, outlets, and wifi are immense--this place is a remote worker's dream. They even have a printer for public use. Ambiance is perfect with large window to ceiling windows. Enjoy what Frera has to offer!

Tiramisu - A raw vegan dessert on a black plate, topped with dollops of cream and cocoa powder, outdoors with trees and parked cars in the background.

I went to Frera for a little lunch and coffee about two weeks ago. It's a restaurant and coffee that is all a vegan, raw and nothing is baked. While I am not vegan, I do enjoy vegan food from time to time. First, the food is delicious. I ordered the tiramisu, blueberry cake, avocado toast, a chocolate protein shake and a latte. If you told me that the cakes were vegan and not baked, I would not believe it. I am big fan of tiramisu and I love to it wherever I can order it. I'm glad I ordered it here. My other favorites was the avocado toast and chocolate protein shake. The avocado mix was delicious and a nice hint of spice. Second, ambiance was very nice. The interior is painted white and gives the restaurant and bright and airy feel. Seating is open and you order at the counter. They also have some plush seats that allow you to relax. Third the service is excellent. The cashier I interacted with was very nice. Also, my food was made quickly. Don't let the let the vegan and raw menu scare you away. The cakes that I ordered tasted like the real deal as if I ordered them in a non-vegan restaurant. Their latte was very good and this would a nice place to grab a cup of coffee on your morning commute. It's a short walk from the Western stop of the blue line and I can see that it would be good place to grab a cup of coffee on the way to the station. In sum, this a must visit restaurant/coffee shop.

Clean eats & immaculate space to do work or catch up with a friend. I brought a friend who had no idea what Vegan ice cream was like & she said that was the best chocolate ice cream on a popsicle she ever had! You can come in here, blindfold yourself & point at any random thing on the menu & you wouldn't be disappointed it's that GOOD! Must TRY ASAP!

Parfait and Breakfast Smoothie. - A smoothie in a clear cup with a straw and a small jar of dessert are on a wooden table in a living room setting.

I live in the neighborhood and Frera Desserts is relatively new. I'm a huge smoothie guy and I have been going to Pure Green, which I think has the best smoothies. I decided to try Frera today and I ordered the Parfait and Breakfast Smoothie. The Parfait and Breakfast Smoothie were so amazing! Both were packed with flavor! And they tasted extremely fresh! Cute little place overall for desserts, smoothies, and coffee. The smoothie was about $2 cheaper than Pure Green and it definitely gave Pure Green a run for their money. Prices are good overall for the high quality of product. A suggestion if they are looking to invest into marketing. But I think it would be a good idea to walk up the street and talk to the property manager of Trailhead Apartments. They have a flyer board on the 606 and it would be a good marketing opportunity as they tend to support local businesses and have done so in the past with their crafts and coffee popups. Definitely check out Frera if you are in the mood for some desserts, coffee, or smoothies. Welcome to the neighborhood and we are lucky to have Frera!

A cozy coffee shop with a very minimalistic layout. Good for when you want to grab some coffee and perhaps a little quiet time. The coffee was good, service was great but the vegan dessert was excellent. My friend had the Rose latte and raved about it.

The service at the café was outstanding, thanks to the wonderful staff. The little cakes were visually stunning.

Place just opened in Bucktown and is absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend the Cashewchino, which is heavenly and has a chocolate glow. The Blue Matcha desert is my favorite and my wife enjoyed the tiramisu.

A menu board listing various drinks and prices is mounted on a white wall, with a wooden planter box containing green plants beneath it.

I had the salted egg but they had several flavor options that I would've loved to try if slices were available. The texture is what really stands out, and the flavor was unique and interesting in a good way. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it taste like, but it was sweet, but not too sweet They only sale but I consider a personal size but it's definitely enough to share with two people, maybe even three depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have. My only downside like others is the price. Paying around $19-$20 for a small cheesecake felt a bit steep, especially since they don't offer slices. I really wish they had smaller portions available so you could try different flavors without committing to a full cake prize. They package it very well and they also serve you a cute little fork set and a knife for cutting which I think is contributes to the price. The shop itself is very cute with chic décor and a lot of Asian-inspired artwork, which adds to the overall vibe. Customer service was friendly. When I visit Chicago again I'd definitely go back the texture and taste alone make it worth it but I do hope they consider offering smaller portions in the future.
