6/13/26: if I could rate the food & service separately, I'd give the food a five and the service a three. Drinks: The orange passionfruit juice had a wonderful flavor, better than the cran mango, I thought. Food: the German pancake was delicious (it was crepe like, but also reminiscent of an airy soufle) -- and it was huge; no wonder it was "pancake" vs "pancakes"! My sister enjoyed her potato cakes as well. Service: lacking. Their patio had misters so despite the heat, we opted to sit outside (being shaded helped); otherwise, we would have had to wait because it was pretty crowded. After being seated, the server (who I'm choosing not to name here) came out a few minutes later for our drink order, and shortly after brought them out which is when we ordered our food. Food came out about 10 minutes later, brought out by a different person. I was so astounded at the size of the German pancake it did not register that they brought me bacon instead of the sausage links I ordered. Figuring our server would come out shortly to check on us, I waited ... 20 minutes passed, he remained M.I.A. I went inside & spoke w/ the hostess, who was apologetic & brought the links out immediately. A minute or two after, lo and behold our server appeared to fill up our water. I should have asked for the check then, but I mistakenly thought he would have noticed the stacked dishes on our table, as well as the almost empty plate in front of me; an observant server would have thought "they're close to done, I'll bring the check". Nope. Ten minutes passed before he came back. Will we go back? Maybe, but if we do, we'll make sure not to be in that server's section.

Good service , food was good , clean restaurant. The atmosphere was great for a brunch meal. Enjoyed the breakfast except the biscuit was blah.

Busy little breakfast spot in Gilbert! We visited on a Sunday morning and it was pretty packed. The food is good and the coffee is strong. Worth the visit.

My wife loves to come to Egen Joe's and have the strawberry cheesecake. French toast. I usually have one of the omelettes. Today we had a waitress by the name of Lyndsay. Wow! We have eaten here 20 times for this is the first time she's waited on us. What a great addition she was to our dining experience Pleasant, responsive anticipation of our wants. Rare that we have a waitress this excellent. We really like the toast check out too. Avoids to awkward tipping encounter face to face. "That's what you are leaving me "

1/29/26 Parking 5/5 Big shopping day, we were in the area and I had a major hangry going on. We returned for our second visit because of our last great experience. Parking 5/5 Arrived ~9:00 and sailed into a space near the entrance without hunting. Atmosphere 5/5 Eggs & Joe is a bright, nicely decorated modern restaurant that is well kept and comfortable. Staff add to the welcoming atmosphere. Service 5/5 Another great experience during our visit. Today we had the pleasure of being served by Jay who wasn't Joe like his badge Egg N' Joe says. It all worked out, Jay or Joe finally got his humor on and we tested our quick-wit throughout. Jay you're cool! Food 5/5 Spoiler alert food review coming and this is where Joe or Jay really shinned, let the order begin. Two Coffees got us smiling, followed by a Denver omelette, crunchy hash browns and pancake and for me, the Chorizo Egg Benedict and Hollandaise with fruit and the Florentine Omelette with Hollandaise ala-cart, both were light and together filling. Everything we ordered was delicious and noteworthy which will bring us back again! $72.40 with well deserved cash tip for Joe or Jay or who know's maybe Frank. ; ). Eat well my friends-SYOY

Place was nice and clean and plenty of parking that's a plus. We were able to sit outside the patio area. The only down side we only got to see waiter 3 times took our order, brought our order, and to pay. As for the food okay. I got biscuits and gravy sadly, gravy had no flavor. Overall, I would comeback

Came here on a Saturday with my family and we were seated quickly even though it was very busy. Our server Karen seemed busy but she was efficient and everything came out as asked! Food was very yummy and just what I needed. Cute diner vibes! Will be returning for a good yummy breakfast!

Been wanting to come here for a long time with no work today decided to come here after the gym. Our waitress Karen was so friendly and helpful. Walked us through the menu so many good options to choose from I went with one of their featured omelettes and it was absolutely delicious the coffee was excellent. Will definitely be coming back to this place many times over.

Oh today, I had the three very crate. It looked nothing like the pitcher, but it was pretty good. Couple eggs and bacon. Leah waited on me. Coffee was always full. I'll be back. Have you order the stuffed hashbrowns next time they seem to hit the spot better egg and Joe is set up like a 50s diner pretty cool ambience worth checking out

My husband and I love to visit Egg n Joe every now and then. A great diner experience and I must say we are impressed with their coffee, German Pancakes, and Their Crabacado Benedict. Yum. A must try for a great experience.

Worth the time to drop by for some early breakfast on a weekday. Enjoyed my hot coffee and my go to breakfast of a classic Eggs Benedict. Play on doing this next time I have an early appointment.

Had some things to do in Gilbert and stumbled upon this gem. It was busy the whole time we were there but we got seated right away. The service here was awesome. They were friendly, fast, and informational. We had the hungry rancher breakfast and chicken fried steak and eggs. Both plates had a lot of food and it was all really good. This is a modern style breakfast ambiance with holiday music playing. On a side note, because we're 1st time customers we were given a letter of welcome and a coupon for the next time we are back. I will definitely be back, the food, service, and ambiance is too good not to be back. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Had a great experience at Egg N Joe. We arrived at around 9:45 and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was crowded with just a few tables left so we're glad we got seated quickly. I noticed an hour in is when the wait was getting long. When we got seated we were quickly greeted by the staff and they were super friendly and attentive to our needs. I ordered a make your own omelette with a side of hash browns and fruit. The omelette was made perfectly with the perfect amount of cheese and other stuffings. The hash browns were also golden crisp and had a perfect taste. The vibe was overall great, with a traditional breakfast style atmosphere. Overall, had a great time and will be back

Parking is available, there are garden beds to visit while you wait for your food, and most of all... The food is farm fresh. When my husband asked where I wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary, I really wanted a casual place where we could bring the kids, and I was really in the mood for some good, old-fashioned American food. I wanted a delicious burger, french fries, and a milkshake! We decided to get there on an early Friday evening after we finished work and we got a parking spot right out front. We walked right up to order our food, no line. It appeared that we had beat the Rush because the place definitely filled in by the time we got our food. I was surprised at the prices, but I was happy to pay it because we had such an enjoyable experience with such delicious food. Our food took about 20 minutes and we each got burgers, fries, and milkshakes. We ordered the farm and grill burger with cheddar cheese and french fries. We all shared the fries sampler that included garlic/Parmesan fries, sweet potato fries, and regular fries. My son and husband shared the strawberry milkshake and my daughter and I shared the vanilla bean milkshake. The service was amazing, the environment was so fun, the food was delicious, the milkshakes were the best I've ever tasted, and the entire experience was perfect. I already cannot wait to go back. I'll be dreaming about those milkshakes for a while. Also, the garlic/Parmesan fries and sweet potato fries were delicious. The beet salad is amazing and fresh.

This is a walk up and order restaurant. You order, you pay, and they deliver your food and drinks to you. There are tables inside within the restaurant, and they have a nice outside area with generous picnic tables, shade, misters and smaller tables for the younger guests. We had a party of five adults and two children. It was literally 100° outside, but we sat outside anyway, and it was fairly comfortable with the shade and the misters. We moved over one of the smaller tables and our grandson enjoyed his breakfast and his very own table. I enjoyed a side of Belgian waffle ( for a side it was still really big ) and two over medium eggs. Our daughter shared the regular Belgian waffle and eggs with her son. My son and my son-in-law both got the big breakfast with everything you could imagine on them- eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, biscuits and hashbrowns. The gluten-free hubby had a vegetable omelette. All the food tasted amazing, came out hot and satiated our hunger. The staff was friendly and made sure we had our drinks, our silverware and napkins, and overall were happy. When we come back, we'll definitely come back here for a breakfast again!

During my recent visit, I decided to try their chicken sandwich and a side of onion rings, and I am so glad that I did. Both items were completely delicious and exceeded my expectations. The chicken sandwich was the star of the show. It was cooked to absolute perfection, featuring a beautifully crispy and golden exterior that gave way to incredibly tender and juicy meat on the inside. Every single bite was packed with flavor. To accompany the sandwich, the onion rings were equally impressive. They were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crunch, avoiding that greasy feel you sometimes get elsewhere. I would highly recommend ordering them as your side. Beyond the amazing food, this spot offers a truly great value for your dollar. The portion sizes and the quality of the ingredients make the price more than worth it. As for the atmosphere, the dining room is just a little bit on the loud side, so it might not be the best place for a quiet, intimate conversation. However, the outstanding service completely makes up for the noise. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick. I know that I would definitely love to go back there again very soon!

I know ingredients cost is out of control especially for beef, but for $17+ a burger I expect to be able to define the cook I want with some type of local beef, a good blend like chuck + brisket, or wagyu. You can head over to Four Peaks, AZ Wilderness, Ghost Ranch, Bad Jimmy's and many other spots nearby and get a far superior burger in the same price range. A Hidden Gem You NEED to Try - Don't Let This Place Stay a Secret!…read moreI've been to Sage & Barrel Craft Eatery a few times now, and every visit leaves me wondering why this place isn't packed every single night. We stopped in on a Monday evening and had the whole vibe almost to ourselves--such a shame because this spot is seriously awesome and deserves a full house! The atmosphere is so vibey--warm, inviting, perfectly lit with that perfect mix of casual and upscale that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. It feels special without being stuffy, great for date nights, family dinners, or just unwinding with friends over craft beers (their selection is impressive--40+ local options with plenty on tap). But the real star? The food. Everything is scratch-made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the care in every bite. Deeply flavorful, innovative twists on classics, generous portions, and consistently excellent. Whether you go for the Nashville hot chicken and waffles, fish & chips, burgers, or whatever catches your eye, it's all done right. No frozen junk here--just real, delicious food that keeps you coming back. Queen Creek (and the East Valley) needs more places like this. There was no smile, greeting, or sense that we were happy to be there. Our server was very nice personally, but the service was incredibly disorganized. What made it even more frustrating was that she only had two tables, and the restaurant was not busy. My husband's meal never came out, and she did not even notice that he was still waiting for it. While we were waiting for his food, she brought us a drink we had never ordered. She also filled my kids' lemonades with water. The food was just as disappointing. The salmon was extremely dry and hard, and the pasta noodles my kids ordered were hard as well. After waiting and realizing my husband's meal was never coming, we asked for the bill. At that point, our server actually asked if my husband was ready to order... even though he had already ordered and had been waiting for his meal the entire time. Our bill ended up being high, which made the experience even more frustrating because we spent that much money and left feeling like we received essentially nothing worth coming back for. We all left hungry. Mistakes happen, but this was not one small mistake. It was a series of issues with the service, drinks, food, and basic attentiveness, especially considering the restaurant was not busy. For the amount we paid, we expected a completely different experience. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

The outside was soft like the inside, not how pretzels are supposed to be. We also didn't care for the beer cheese. It was thick & chunky. Hubby got the wings with AZ gold on the side. The wings were crispy, but the AZ gold sauce was nothing like AZ gold sauce. It was reddish & had a kick to it. It was also running. I got the cheeseburger sliders with onion rings. The onion rings were good, but the ranch dressing was super runny. The sliders weren't like sliders I've had before. It was like a hamburger patty was cooked then placed on the slider buns. The meat did not fill the buns. A couple of the buns hardly had any meat on them. We don't have any reason to go back.
