We needed a dryer vent replacement as we were switching from the flexible foil vent installed by Lowes (it gets clogged easily and is not up to code) with a rigid metal dryer vent. Jose was very meticulous about coding, which was greatly appreciated as we are heavy users of our washer and dryer. These guys are GREAT! I called on a Saturday because my new dryer was giving an error message that the duct was blocked. They came that same day and cleaned the duct (which had a TON of lint backed up in it). Also, they noted that the vent was not properly affixed to the outside of the house (which is what was causing it to get so backed up). They fashioned a temp repair that day and said it should last a while (a year or so), but that a new cap is needed. I appreciated that they were willing to make a temporary fix that day, rather than do a hard sell for an immediate repair. They took their time doing the job thoroughly and explaining the issues, and emailed me pictures of the issues with the vent after the job. They were also so easy to deal with setting up the appointment -- answered the phone promptly, set up the appointment no problem, called and texted to let us know they were on their way, and arrived on time. read more

This is a review not of their work, but of their honesty. We asked them to come do an inspection in preparation for lining our chimney, which is required by code when you get a new water heater that vents into the chimney. When they got here, they explained how with a different kind of water heater than we have now, we wouldn't need to vent into the chimney after all, and could take the $3000 the liner would cost and put it toward that. I just want to rave about one of my favorite vendors and the fact that he may have literally saved my life today. I had Jose Salazaar of EES Services come out to do the annual dryer vent cleaning for the condo I rent out (we have used him for a whole slew of projects - air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, chimney cleaning and repairs - and he was already my favorite before today). Upon arrival, he flagged that it smelled like gas in the apartment and suggested I contact Washington Gas. I did so while he set to work on the dryer vent. WG arrived while Jose was finishing up; Jose waited for the tech to finish his inspection - even removing the stacked washer/dryer so that the tech could get better access. The tech found 2 leaks behind the dryer that - if gone untreated - would have caused both health and safety concerns. When the tech thanked Jose, he said "I just want to make sure this lady [i.e. me] is safe." Jose is a freaking superhero and everyone in the whole world should use him for all of their air duct / dryer vent / chimney needs.
