However if your business practices, or in this instance, your lack of a response merits a one star review, well perhaps you should address that with your staff. I contacted this company to clean out my dryer duct vent. Messaged this business via yelp, clearly laid out the specs of my job, and scheduled a time. Well that day and time slot came and went. No call, no explanation as to why the appointment was missed and their tech was a complete no show. These guys may be a great business. Perhaps they do good work. I won't be able to speak to that as no one showed up to do the job. Sad. Update as I need to add some points to the reply from the businesses comment. First let me state very clearly I did not confuse your business for another. Second, my messages and phone records clearly indicate it was your business I contacted, made an appointment with, and you failed to fulfill your appointment. Third, on a follow up call I identified the employee I had made the appointment with by name. It was confirmed they worked for your company and, perhaps most importantly, they confirmed we spoke the week prior to set up the appointment. Please don't use the old oh you've confused our business with another excuse. Own your mistake. Lastly, in blue collar work, reputation is everything. I'd love to know how the owner of this company would feel if they knew how the last conversation I had with a representative of your company ended. Let's just say, always remain professional. As I stated in my initial review, this company may very well do good work. Knowledgable and great quality service. The old house we bought had new HVACs but also came with old vents & plenty of dust, debris, etc. from the flipping process, and the stuff we did on moving in of course. Karen took time to fully explain how they work and let me know where to view a video taken of work on a previous site. Daniel & Erik were prompt and Daniel explained how they would proceed with work, laid down drop cloths, and went to work. They inspected the inside of the systems and alerted me to some mold starting to grow--this was high interest to me because one of the contingencies the seller remediated was mold on some drywall, so I definitely asked them to address it by installing UV bulbs & treating with Benefect. Be warned, keeping mold at bay ain't cheap but my family's health comes first. I'm glad we chose to do it. They also pointed out some things off with the ducting which we'll address with an HVAC company. I also had them clean the dryer vent and good thing as it was nasty choke with old lint. Bonus: one of the systems had an electrical issue so they proactively and quickly called in Davis & Davis to fix it, just informed me of the issue and that they were handling it, no need for me to worry. I was quoted a reasonable price and arranged to have these guys come up because they had immediate availability. So I arranged these guys come out to do a dryer vent cleaning after bouncing some possible times. They gave a time frame of 12-2pm however did not show up until nearly 2:30pm. When I called asking where the operator she said they were at the house but remained unapologetic about the lateness to the point of being rude. Red flag #1. When it came time to pay for the services, they tacked on another $100 more saying that "removing blockage" was an additional amount. At first she claimed they had to remove a carcass from the vent. After looking closer at the invoice, it appears it was "remove blockage" or something, I couldn't even read what the person wrote. In any event, this was never stated from the quotation nor at anytime during the cleaning. The lady was extremely rude and kept arguing that only lint is considered normal debris, other blockages are not included. It would have been nice to know that up front! Don't go with this outfit, you'll be nickel and dimed. The only consolation is that the vent did appeared to be cleaned. Edit: The Owner, Kevin, contacted me and was apologetic about the quality of service and lack of explanation up front. He agreed to provide a partial refund in order to make things right. Quality Air Solutions provided great service in regard to air duct/dryer vent cleaning in a new home I just purchased and moved into. The technician did a wonderful job and explained everything. He expressed concern as well, as it seemed that previous owners did not have the system cleaned for a long time or ever. He made recommendations as well as the dryer vent cap was not the right one for the home either and caused more problems for the dryer. Even though the cleaning service was great, my review does have one point of less positive feedback. I originally communicated with Quality Air Solutions at the end of September to schedule cleaning before I moved into the home. After communicating through Yelp and getting a confirmation for October 4th in the early afternoon, I thought everything was all set. Not the case. The day of the scheduled cleaning came and there was no communication. I called their office and was told that I was not on the schedule. I was shocked. I told them that I got a confirmation on Yelp and provided them with the information. They looked back, saw the confirmation, and said a mistake must have been made. I had to be rescheduled almost three weeks later, the same day my move was actually taking place. I called two days before to confirm this time. Bottom line: If you have sinus complaints, getting recurrent asthma flares, or persistent cough and have dust/mold in your vents, get your HVAC system and ducts cleaned. Once you realize you need HVAC system cleaned and want a professional job by professional individuals done quickly, using multiple tools and non-toxic cleaning solutions, call Quality Air Solutions. This is the company I have already recommended to other family and friends! I wish I could give more than 5 stars, I've never been so impressed by a company before. Reason for cleaning: As a physician, I often recommend to patients with asthma or other respiratory complaints to evaluate their home for dust, dirt, mold, etc on top of the treatments I prescribe. So when my elderly parents were complaining of persistent cough, sinus congestion, sore throat, runny nose and didn't have a cold, flu, or seasonal allergies, I decided to look at their HVAC system. There, I was surprised to find not only excessive dust but mold coming out of the registers! It was the obvious culprit to their health concerns, so I immediately started to look for a company that could do both duct cleaning as well as address the mold. Out of the 20+ companies I called, only Quality Air Solutions had everything I requested that was within my budget. Booking: Karen is the person I spoke to over the phone and is excellent. She explained what exactly Quality Air Solutions would do - clean each air duct not by just cleaning the registers as most companies do but actually deep clean the ducts all the way to the blower motor using different vacuums and attachments. She stated that they would have to evaluate on site if the HVAC motor itself would need some additional cleaning. To address the mold, they would use a treating agent called Benefect - this is natural cleaning agent used in hospitals to clean a multitude of bacteria (including resistant ones like MRSA), viruses, fungi (i.e. mold). Karen was clear that the mold stains would not be removed but the Benefect treating agent would kill the mold and its spores. She offered me a price estimate that was within my budget and competitive with other companies. The price was so good I decided to get my dryer duct cleaned as well. She worked with me in terms of scheduling, especially when I had to cancel last minute and change the date of service. Service: Tony and Carlos were the two workers who cleaned our HVAC system and arrived on time and were very professional. They assessed the HVAC systems and realized that the mold had extended, unfortunately, all the way to HVAC system and would require more cleaning than expected. They also recommended a UV light system that would help with destroying the mold so this doesn't occur again. This increased the cost of the project but again provided a competitive price that still turned out to be cheaper than others. The both of them explained everything they were doing and answered all questions which was really appreciated. They worked from 8am to about 3pm almost non-stop, diligently cleaned our two HVAC systems and dryer duct. They also installed the UV light systems in both HVAC systems and used the benefect to treat the mold. I was really impressed by their work and effort as there was an immediate effect on the air quality and my parent's symptoms (which improved!). read more

I used Quality Air Services back in 2018 with no issues, so when we started to notice air quality issues again, I didn't hesitate to call them and schedule a cleaning. Scheduling went fine, and they arrived exactly when they estimated. They performed the cleaning, then left. Everything seemed fine. When it started to get dark, I noticed that our heating was running fine, but only pumping out cold air. I went into the basement to check what was going on and found 8 places where they had cut into the duct. Of those 8, they only resealed ONE. That meant I had 7 one-inch holes in my ducting in the basement! I don't have foil tape on hand, so I did my best with what I had to patch them and the system started to run warmer, but it's still not where it was. Best part? When I called them today to let them know, I got sent straight to a sketchy voice mail box. I'm hoping they call me back, but I'm not too optimistic. read more

The technicians were unvaccinated and even though they wore masks the entire time, I do not feel comfortable having unvaccinated people in my house, with vulnerable adults and children in the family. I thought the quality of the work was good, but I've revised my review because they did not remove the furnace filter when doing the cleaning resulting in a severely clogged filter, which I did not realize until the next day when I pulled the filter out. Either the filter should have been removed, or I should have been advised to immediately replace it after the cleaning. read more

I called Quality Air Solutions to clean the air ducts and dryer vents of my home that was built in 1964, suspecting that the ducts had never been cleaned before. Tony and Ramon serviced my home and did a fantastic job vacuuming over 50 years of dust as well as sanitizing my air ducts. They explained to me step by step what they would be doing and showed me pictures and videos of my air ducts while they were cleaning them. I would also like to point out that Tony was also able to detect a gas leak in my basement that neither I nor my Kidde gas alarms had detected. I am very thankful that he did as gas leaks are silent killer. He gave me the necessary advice to call the gas company in order to have it checked out, and unfortunately I did have a gas leak. I did not have a good experience. I called to have air ducts cleaned - total was $300ish. They called and said that there was mold and it would be an add'l $300 but would only last 8 mos and I need to add this light which would be an additional $600. Total was $1280. I didn't realize it was $300 plus $300 plus $600 - I thought that I chose option b - total 300 plus 600. The tech blew the fuse and left without fixing it which I explicitly asked that they fix before leaving. My tenant was out of electricity so I had to pay someone to fix it. I feel that I was taken advantage of with pricing - they were there for less than 3 hours - and felt the service stunk as they left with a blown fuse. I frequently use Yelp for many things but this was an experience that just made me feel icky. read more

I was hugely impressed by Quality Air Solutions (QAS). Other companies gave us an estimate on duct cleaning without seeing our system. QAS rightly insisted on seeing the system before they could quote an accurate price, and their examination of the system was extremely thorough. They did a great job making recommendations (like an appropriate HEPA filter for our bedroom) and conducting the cleaning, thoroughly removing some fungus they found in one location. The only negative part of my experience was that in spite of it being the same tech who gave me the estimate and then showed up to conduct the cleaning, he was surprised when he came back that we don't have parking attached to our home (he mistakenly thought we had alley access). So, if you live in an urban area and don't have attached parking, you'll need to reserve street parking in front of your home so they have access to their central vacuum located on their truck. In spite of this minor problem, which was luckily resolved by a neighbor moving her car, I was very impressed by the detail-oriented nature of the QAS employees and their professionalism. I will use QAS for dryer vent cleaning and air duct cleaning in the future. read more

I just bought a home built in 1948. I do not think the duct system was original with the home but the dust seemed original with the vents. It had to be 25+ years of dust in the vents. I am glad I did clean because it saved me money on exterminating the roaches. The day of the service I was at work and made sure to ask the lady who answered the phone to give me a hour courtesy call. Though they gave me two hour courtesy call, Tony was apologetic for being late. At the time of service I have not yet moved in to the home because it was being renovated. I waited in the car and Tony brought me in once it was almost done. He informed me he found about 80 dead roaches and two German roaches along with a lot of cigarette buds. I had did a home kit bombing for roaches a few weeks prior. I was happy to hear that he found hoping it was the nest. He did recommend some treatment that I declined because my funds were getting low for things that were popping up to fix in the home. I will get the treatment next winter because as of today I only have a heating system. I will also get the dryer vent cleaning too since I have new laundry appliances. It just so happen that my contractor used this company for some other service than duct cleaning so when he discovered it was QAS that I went with he said it was a good decision because there are a lot of companies that are scams. BTW- they saved me money for getting an exterminator for roaches. I saw a few but after two weeks of service no more roaches!! read more

Before getting a new HVAC installed and the company installing it recommended an air duct cleaning. They recommended a company that was ultimately booked for the next 6 weeks, so then I called Air Quality Solutions as they had previously cleaned out my dryer vents. They happened to have immediate availability (in hindsight - this was probably a red flag) and the very next day they came out and completed an approximately $500 dollar service in about 90 minutes. My house is 4000 sq feet and such a quick completion of the duct cleaning seemed suspect to me. Sure enough, the company installing the new HVAC confirmed the duct cleaning was "lazy" and not thorough. Ultimately it took me about 3 months to finally get in touch with the owner to express my concerns. He was argumentative over the phone (won't be surprised to see him debate this review) and in the end offered only a $50 refund and the chance to complete the job again. No way I'm going to allow them to service my home again after they failed to execute well the first time around. Because of my experience, I do not recommend this company for more extensive jobs like air duct cleaning for larger homes. They are however seemingly effective at cleaning out dryer vents. read more

I recently purchased and remodeled a place (and also had no idea whether the previous owners had ever had the air ducts cleaned.) I knew at the very least I needed to have it checked out. I searched Groupon and Living Social and found dozens of realllly inexpensive air duct servicing companies. We're talking $20-40 a cleaning. These companies generally weren't reviewed that positively. I decided to dig a bit deeper and see what differentiated the more expensive options from these cheaper ones. I came across Quality Air Solutions and decided to make the investment. I am TRULY glad that I did. These fellas showed up on time, had all the professional equipment, and were giving me play-by-plays of what they were doing. They even took some before and after photos as well as a couple quick videos to demonstrate what the tools were doing. Come to find out-- as you'll read in other reviews-- these other cheapo companies will essentially bring in what amounts to a ShopVac to "clean" your vents. It is not at all comparable. My suggestion-- spend the extra money on Quality Air Solutions and know full well that you're getting what you want-- and in my case, NEEDED. They found evidence of mold around the registers and quickly took care of it with a non-toxic formula (Benefact). I highly recommend them to anyone! read more
