As other customers have noted, this business does not use honest business practices. We were quoted one price on the phone and charged double after the tech left our house. When we pushed back, the reasons for the up-charge included that he had been here an hour (he was here 30 minutes) and that we had an "extra foot" of dryer venting (on the phone, we were quoted that each additional foot would add $10 to the overall cost). Wish we'd done our research -- hope this review is helpful for others! read more

Good and quick service. Got the vent all cleared.Adam is your guy! He was a pleasure to work with. Would recommend! The price is affordable!

My family had just bought a home, and we wanted to ensure good indoor air quality by getting the air ducts cleaned, since we all have allergies. After reviewing multiple contractors, we decided to give BH Duct Cleaning a try and we're glad we did. The tech, Ben, was proactive in communications, came on time, and was professional and efficient. He patiently answered questions and explained the process and key watch outs during the inspection, and wasn't pushy on selling any parts of the service that weren't needed. He was also clear in the costs breakdown, which we aligned on in a signed invoice before he started the actual cleaning work. My home is about 3500 Sq ft and has 4x returns, and it took him about 3 hrs to do the inspection and cleaning. Quality of the job shows in the pictures, and he cleaned up the general area before he left. Overall, I'm happy with the quality of service and results. read more

It would have been nice to have been told, up front, that going up on the roof was an additional $250 on top of the cleaning of the dryer vent. I paid $450 for cleaning the dryer vent which vents to the roof. I do not mind paying someone for their work. I do mind not knowing the cost up front and being surprised when the work is completed. I had told the lady when I scheduled the appointment that the dryer vent was on the roof. I find it dishonest when a business does not give you the total charge up front. read more

On time, explained everything beforehand. Clean and neat, cleaned my dryer duct which was filthy!

Adam was incredibly helpful! He evaluated the vent as well as cleaned it so we had extra peace of mind

I had the worst experience with this company.please save your time and money and don't go with them. The guy was 4 hours late on the scheduled date so we had to reschedule for the next day. When he came he knows nothing about what he is doing he keeps playing guess games. He cut my dry wall. Didn't bother to close it. I didn't want him to leave without fixing it specially after ruining my wall. But he kept yelling even made my baby cry I paid 300$ just so can leave. He was very disrespectful. He didn't clean the mess he made. My dryer isn't fixed I paid 300$ and he yelled at me. Highly unprofessional. I don't recommend for anyone. read more

Be careful with this company. They will quote you a price and once they are at your house will upsell. Quote was $129 to clean vent and by the time he left (40 mins at my house) I had to pay $435. Was not happy and would not recommend using them read more

My husband found this through the mail-pak coupons. That just makes me laugh because I'm a Yelper and usually turn to Yelp reviews : ) We had a tenant leave our townhouse and the house was left in terrible condition with visible dust buildup in the vents. Such a health and safety issue that I'm surprised the house didn't burn down. Booking was easy. The gentleman came out and got straight to work and was very informative about what he was doing. Was really open that the basic service cleaning wasn't going to cut it and explained what he would do and what it would cost. He worked really hard to get everything done and it was just amazing when you look at the before and after. I can't find my pictures but the recent review with the before and after could have very well been my property. Luckily it's not something you need done everyday but I'm glad they were able to come out and take care of us. read more

Adam and Reo are very professional and good at what they do. They are also very communicative about their arrival time. They even vacuumed the floor after everything was done. I'd recommend any house owners in the DMV area to use their service. read more

They did a great job extremely professional. Helped us resolve the issue very quickly.

Found these guys after struggling to find someone who would work in a condo building. Worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves.

this is who we thought we were hiring but got ripped off for $1400. we made the check out to them but now cannot find them anywhere. if this is not who repaired our chImney, then disregard this. if, however, you are hiring them, please check them out first to make sure they are legit. read more

Thank you again will call you guys next year again. read more

Great quality and good analysis of the problem. The technician, Adam, also gave me helpful tips to prolong the health of my dryer.

I called this company based on their Yelp rating when another company left me with a clogged vent after 2 cleanings and told me I need to replace the whole vent pipe. They came out quickly and were able to get a huge clump of dryer lint out and told me there is no need to replace the pipe. I'm so thankful I called and enjoyed their thorough check and fee confident in their advice. read more

The service I received from Adam was timely, perfect, and professional. He gave a complete explanation of everything he was going to do in plain language, especially when he recommended changing the vent cover on the exterior. One other BIG thing he suggested is that I call Washington Gas to ensure that I had no gas leak, because he could smell a slight scent of gas when he checked everything before he left. Problem? Maybe... maybe not, but I did call Washington Gas. read more

The best part of the experience was setting up the appointment. The person that I dealt with was accommodating and extremely helpful. As for the service itself. The person did what was needed and efficiently cleaned the dryer vent. However, he arrived without a step stool and asked to use mine, which was fine, except it sunk into the wet soil when he took it outside and was not cleaned off. When I went to take it out to use it, there was dirt and mud everywhere. Also, when he replaced the dryer duct, he left the old one in the laundry room. Following my post, the company's owner replied and offered their apology and partial reimbursement, which I appreciate. However, it was not why I posted the review. However, with their concern and willingness to try and make it right, I am changing my 3 stars to 4. read more

The company was highly responsive and did an excellent job. I contacted them through Yelp on a Friday morning and was able to schedule a dryer vent cleaning on Sunday afternoon. The technician called Sunday morning and offered to come early. We welcomed that. The job was challenging due to the external location of the vent but the technician was able to handle those difficulties. read more

WOW! I contacted them less than 2 hours ago for a clogged dryer vent and wet clothes that wouldn't dry. My clothes are now drying, and my vents are completely free of obstructions. An excellent air duct cleaning company! The technicians did a thorough job. They took care of my belonging during the cleaning process. The deep sanitation treatment left our home smelling fresh and clean. We highly recommend BH Dryer Vent & Air Duct Cleaning to service your home. read more

Adam was great! He explained everything very thoroughly and even did some extra vacuuming of the filter area of one of our dryers (because the whole thing was so clogged, lint had built up there) without any extra charges. We had two dryer vents cleaned inside and out, and one new vent installed (the old one was original, from the 1960's and was crushed and bent and was clogging the pipe). I called BH after having talked to several companies that focus first on air duct cleaning and do dryer vents as an after thought, sometimes for a lot of money. All of those other companies either clean dryer vents from inside OR from outside. BH does both inside and outside. BH has reasonable rates and is more focused on dryer vents when that's what they come out for. read more

This is the only company to use if you have any issues with your dryer or dryer vent. The technician who came to our house today, Adam, was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and very hard working. He didn't stop until he solved the problem and gave us some good practical advice going forward. We will only use him going forward. And because we had such a good experience with him, we are going to use this company to clean all of the ducts. read more
