Jose was great! He responded quickly and showed up on time. I had hired him to clean our gutters. Once he arrived, he reviewed the roof and let me know that there would be a lot of debris coming off the roof because of the eaves. Before starting, he explained that he'd be using a blower to get things off, so he couldn't gather all the debris the way he'd be able to do when just cleaning gutters. We talked about it and he was able to use one of the tarps in our garage to cover a fountain we have in the back to be sure the debris wouldn't enter the water. He has cleared our gutters/downspouts, cleaned our dryer vent (multiple times we've had birds nests in them which he found, we didn't even realize!), and vacuumed our dryer's inside to clear out additional lint, separate from the vent. I learned from reviews & friends that there are a lot of scammers out there...sometimes the quotes are not the total price which you dont learn till they show up. And some companies claim you need mold treatments which you may not need and the company is not qualified to do. Our brand new dryer told us it had an 80% blockage in the vent! SIL discovered when the previous dryer was installed, the company who put in the ducts cheated the landlords! It was actually a fire hazard in the ceiling! Anyway, José and his worker were very punctual, explained everything very carefully, asked numerous times if we had any questions. They wore masks and shoe covers to ensure our safety and comfort. It was a complicated job that they completed flawlessly, even though it took most of the day. We contacted EES Services to inquire about getting our chimney inspected. We have lived in our house for about ten years, but never once used the fireplace. Through the years, we did have quite a few wasps come in through the chimney and we really had no idea what was potentially living up there. We relayed this to EES and they set up a time to come out and inspect and sweep our chimney. Jose, the owner, is top notch. Very professional, very prompt, and very knowledgeable. He provided multiple pictures of EVERYTHING (showing inside the chimney and outside the chimney) and gave us options to rectify the fireplace's issues. For what it's worth, there was a small wasp nest up there but since it was early March... no wasps were present. We thought about our options for a few days and decided to have EES repair the chimney so as to stop water intrusion - this involved constructing a new cement crown and installing a new damper at the top of the chimney. Again, he took pictures of everything and took no shortcuts. Called this company to discuss a simple exterior chimney issue and provided a photo. It was so easy to see crumbling mortar. The owner Jose refused to make any comment on the photo and instead wanted to get me to pay him $250 for an "inspection". This was ridiculous.
