I am an architectural designer and former general contractor…read more I first met Troy (one of the owners) about 20 years ago when I was looking for a roofing subcontractor for my construction business. Other contractors that used him referred him to me. His company did all the roofing and siding for all of my construction projects and I had very few issues. Anything my clients or I felt needed correction was done immediately without question. Once the work was done, I never had any "call backs". D & M has done the roofing, siding, replacement windows, and painting on my own home. They just recently replaced (free) one of the window sashes that had developed a leak after 5 years. Are they the cheapest in town? No. If you want it done right and someone who will stand behind their work call them. If you want to know more from me call me, John 301-530-8703.

I've worked with lots of builders and contractors. Home Tech is a gem in an industry where you can…read moreget easily taken advantage of. I have just enough construction knowledge to make me dangerous, so I went for it and started the interview process for a contractor to repair my roof (from shoddy new construction using builder-grade materials). From the very first call and the inspection by my project manager, Isaiah, I felt at ease. His assessment was thorough (problem: cheap, weather-torn shingles and broken seal around roof pipes caused leaking in my top floor bedroom). His pics were so good that my insurance adjuster had no need to send their inspector out. They immediately offered me the money for a band-aid repair, but HomeTech went to bat for me, showing plenty of pics to prove to the insurance company that a whole new roof was needed. Altho it took a few months (shingle samples sent out to a lab for testing), it passed the required brittle test. The roof crew were on time and professional. And their in-sync work ethic was amazing as I got my new architectural roof installed in less than 5 hours under Isaiah's scrutiny and final inspection! Now for the interior work: Bayardo, the home interior mgr, was amazing at assessing my ceiling damage from the roof leak and some non-claim-related leaky drain damage. His demeanor was professional as well. And his crewman, Klaybin, did an amazing job at re-drywalling all damaged areas and topping it off with a clean and smooth paint job- can't even tell there was damage! To say this company was professional is not enough... They took great care to hear my concerns (trust me, I'm an interior designer, and I'm PICKY!) and their work ethic was as good as Home Tech's promise. And did I mention Ms. Marcy? She was the "glue" that held the whole project together--- communicating with tact and concern--- and making all the paperwork and scheduling a breeze. My house feels like "home" again! Thank you all--great job!

I strongly advise against using Home Tech. My experience with them involved extreme delays, poor…read morecommunication, unfulfilled scope of work, and ultimately a bounced check. * Delays & Cancellations: After receiving my insurance payout, Home Tech delayed the ridge cap repair for four months. They repeatedly canceled scheduled dates, explicitly telling me my house was not a priority. During this delay, the roof leak and internal damage worsened significantly. * Incorrect Materials & Refusal of Itemization: When workers finally arrived, they installed plastic ridge caps instead of the metal materials specified and paid for by insurance. When I requested an itemized invoice and bill of materials, the co-owner, Katie, refused to provide one--claiming that small jobs require higher markup and providing invoices would prevent them from making money. * Financial Mismanagement: After weeks of asking for my remaining balance, I was forced to mention reporting them to the Better Business Bureau just to get my refund check issued. Three weeks after depositing the refund, my bank notified me that the check bounced due to insufficient funds. * Unprofessional Conduct: Management actively avoids accountability, shifts blame onto their inspectors, and dodges calls. While Samir was helpful in trying to move things forward, working with Katie and executive management was a complete nightmare. Save yourself the frustration and hire a company that honors its schedules, uses proper materials, and maintains basic financial integrity.

Very disappointing. When they first installed the roof they completely covered the drain hole on…read morethe porch roof and had to completely redo it. This was only because I noticed the issue. Then, just over a year later, the roof leaked and it took them two months to make the repair. After the repair, they refused to repair the interior damage caused by the leak, some minor painting. They claimed it was because the roof damage was weather related, however as the roof was just over a year old, this is ridiculous.

Jireh General Contractors did an excellent job replacing our roof. The work was completed quickly,…read morethe quality was great, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. They were especially helpful working with our insurance company, which can often be a stressful and complicated process. The team was friendly, professional, and always prompt. They even went above and beyond by replacing some gutters at no additional cost and trimming our tree. We were very happy with the experience and would highly recommend Jireh General Contractors to anyone needing roofing work.

Star Roofing did work on our roof in the fall of 2024 as we were seeking to stop leaks. The work…read morecame with a warranty that is still in effect, and the work was $5,000. Shortly after the work was done, we experienced another leak. We let the team know and they came out promptly to do additional caulking. After that, we continued to have leaking, and at that point the team refused to return many calls and voicemails, even despite the warranty being in effect. Today we had a new roof company come assess the situation. They said the caulking work was done cheaply, and the reattaching of the boards left the boards loose. We are getting this fixed but if it doesn't stop the leaking, we have to get all the work done over again. This was a really disappointing outcome since Star Roofing was recommended by a neighbor. So beware shoddy work and no answers when you call in your warranty. There was no indication that this would be the case before, during, and even shortly after the service.

We chose an amazing color, and the crew was very fast and efficient. The roof looks great. Only thing to watch - we also replaced the wood paneling and skylight. One of the workers was blowing debris off the rooftop and blew a lot of it right into the hole where the skylight was missing and all over my kitchen. Cleanup was solid and fast the next day, and the follow up inspection was great. There were a couple of areas where there was a gap after the installation of the drip edge. Devin came out and took a look, but never returned to solve the issue - so I had to use foam seal to make sure no bugs/bees got into the attic. They worked with my insurance company and the cost for the entire job was well within budget and was very affordable.

My insurance company wanted to just insert new siding strips in the areas where the siding fell off. This would have been a disaster as the remaining siding was 25 years old and there was no exact matching of the siding. It took several months of negotiating with the insurance company but both Mike and Jason stayed on it and today we have our home repaired to better than new condition. The two gentlemen who worked on the siding were very patient and careful. The work was completed at the highest level with clean neat caulking and siding that fits snugly against the wall. Very satisfied and would highly recommend. Ron
