Update in response to his response: I guess you didn't know, but I have a Ring camera recording of our conversation. You are a liar and I have the video to prove it. It's actually you who yanked away your phone as I was looking at the charges because you handed me your phone. And there was zero foul language. I contacted Spring Air MG to have my HVAC ducts and Dryer vent cleaned. Mike gave me a reasonable and competitive quote and came the next day. He inspected my vents and told me that they are really clean and didn't need to be cleaned - that too after commuting almost an hour for the appointment - i really appreciated that kind of honesty. He did let me know my dryer vent needed a lot more effort due to its layout and had to charge a bit more for that. Overall very satisfied with the services and i plan on reaching out again in a couple of years to have my vents inspected and cleaned. read more

We reached out to Michael to help us address what initially we thought was a routine duct cleaning job. Our dryer was throwing a code saying the air duct was blocked plus we noticed lots of moisture behind the dryer which triggered the call. Michael cleaned the vent path, put on a new dryer vent hose and took pictures to show me all was clear. He also did a thorough check of our HVAC system and vents and provided a few recommendations. But he was still very puzzled by the moisture behind the dryer and what we thought was wet lint in the old dryer vent hose. He went into the attic and found that the builder had not properly installed the vent conduit connecting the dryer vent jack on the roof. He assisted me in getting video proof so that I could follow-up with the builder to address the issue (which they did). Overall I truly appreciated Michael's quality work, technical knowledge, attention to detail and persistence for getting to the actual root cause of the issue. I highly recommend him! read more

Come for the huge vent blower machine, stay for the deep cleaning of condenser lines. I'll say I know nothing about HVAC and got a mini PhD from MG over the course of a few hours. There was some sticker shock for sure at the costs, given what he found (it was my first look under the hood at our HVACs system this week), but he explained it all super well, as I had a ton of questions. I really have nothing to compare it to given I had little time to gather estimates, but it does seem to line up with what I've seen online in terms of pricing. Also installed UV sanitation device to prevent mold in HVAC. Quite surprised by the poor reviews. His rates are much lower than those of competitors. read more

Michael said he'd charge a $159 flat fee when he sent me a bid via Yelp's Angi-like bidding process. And based on the stellar reviews here and on Google and the owner's dismissal of the one negative review here, I thought he seemed like a good bet. I let my husband mostly interact with Michael when he was here, since I had to work--and somehow after less than 2 hours work we ended up paying $2650--even with a supposed discount for not paying with a credit card. He found "black mold" he said and sprayed liquid that he said was super-expensive in our ducts. Meanwhile, he disparaged the UV lights we already have in our HVAC system as a ripoff after asking how much they cost us, saying they only cost $5 off the shelf. Manipulative tactic (since obviously we paid much more) to make himself seem like a good value. If he claims now that I'm making this up, like he said of another reviewer, beware that's his M.O. I have no idea how he's racked up so many positive reviews--frankly makes me much less trusting of reviews, which are clearly gamed by some companies. While I would have been fine with paying more than the original estimate for more work, increasing the charge 1670 percent, for work that at most took twice as long, is ridiculous and a scam. read more

I would not use them again or recommend them. Their model is to give a very low estimate as a "bait and switch". For example I was quoted $159 for both the dryer and HVAC vent cleaning. Our dryer vent was badly clogged with lint. Since the vent exited under our deck, the tech had to disconnect the pipe in the basement to access the full length. As a result, the cost was quite a bit higher than the initial estimate. However, the tech fully disclosed the cost once he assessed the situation. We agreed, and the work was completed without issue.
