I would stay away from this company. They are one of the more expensive services. I have had this done before and do NOT think they are worth the additional money. They basically brought the equivalent of a small shop vac. I felt the office staff was rude and there wasn't a supervisor available to speak with. Also, they seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. In addition, they started the cleaning from the inside when the outside is completely accessible, and it is recommended to start there. There is a chance that cleaning the outside after cleaning the inside could push loosened lint or debris back toward your dryer vent line. Here's why: Airflow direction matters: Dryer vents are designed to push air from inside (dryer) to outside. If the technician starts inside and then uses suction or blowing from the outside afterward, it can reverse the airflow and potentially push lint back toward the dryer. Best practice: Most reputable services start from the outside and work inward, or use a continuous airflow method that ensures debris moves out of the home, not back in. If I could give less than one star I would. read more

I hired Atlantic Duct Cleaning to clean my air ducts in the past and asked regarding Aeroseal. I didnt proceed with Aersoseal due to the Budget and other pressing things that came up such as Window Installation and Roof. I called back today to get an updated price and the sales man said I have been placed under "do not service" and was unable to provide me a reason why. Complete joke of a company. The company states their duct cleaning work takes 1.5-3hrs and they charge $500 (well above their competitors) because of their "expertise". $500 later and my home air quality is terrible. Technicians took 40min, didn't hit all the vents, and clearly didn't fix the problem. Their management team just told me they'll send another team out for $500, and cant guarantee that the dust will go away So customers pay a premium of $500 for their expertise without any guarantees. And to top it all off, the gentlelady who spoke to me over the phone ended the call while I was mid sentence And I'm a veteran with asthma- now imagine what they'll do to you. This company is quite expensive, and they left my system in a mess. They taped over the furnace filter and replaced it taped over back into the unit, so no air was passing through the filter. They also removed a piece of hvac foil tape and left It half hanging off the side of the unit. Nice guys, seemed efficient but I will never use them again. read more

I also left review on google and owner responded rudely. further exemplifies the lack of professionalism I experienced today, and I am grateful I didn't have to give them a penny. Two extremely rude employees showed up to clean my vents and they informed me at that point they needed to park (DIRECTLY) in front of house. First time I was informed of this After booking 2 months ago. They sent multiple reminders about other aspects of their service but never once was this mentioned. Two very disgruntled employees were acting like it was my job to magically move cars that weren't mine. i arranged for ADC to clean my 50-year old ducts and then use aeroseal to plug any holes. They came precisely on time and three technicians began working on the duct cleaning task. This job was chalenging because my Ac unit is in the attic. After cleaning the ducts, they used their Aeroseal machine to trest how much leakage there was in my duct system. To my suprise and their credit they said that there was so little leakage in my ducts that using aeroseal was not going to improve the airflow. So, I chose not to have the sealing process performed. After purchasing the Aeroseal ductwork sealant application it did not improve my HVAC system efficiency. There is a continuous dust problem since the duct sealing system was applied by an authorized dealer. Overall, the application is ineffective. The ductwork was cleaned prior to the sealant application by a local company and re-cleaned again by same Aeroseal licensed dealer. There was no improvement in the amount of dust throughout my home and the air filters are changed every thirty days. The Aeroseal (Atlantic) should have offered a free Re-evaluation from a different HVAC professional to conduct a thorough inspection and identify any leaks that may have been missed. Reconsider your options before purchasing the application. I am completely dissatisfied. read more

From what it appears, the technicians are thorough and experienced. However, the pricing and customer service from management/sales left me with a sour taste in my mouth. What happened: The duct cleaners arrived, conducted a consultation, and noticed that parts of the supply side ducting had older fiberglass (chicken wire) ducting. They didn't feel comfortable cleaning it, nor did we. The technicians called management to discuss reducing the price since they would only be cleaning the return side. Unfortunately, management refused to adjust the price. I called in and spoke with Litzie, explaining logically how doing half the work, already being on-site, and focusing on customer satisfaction should result in a price reduction. The only concession they offered was $45 off a $645 service, which seemed unreasonable for half the amount of work. In the end, it felt like the sales rep/manager, Litzie, didn't want to give up part of her commission, even though it would have been the right thing for the customer, myself, in this situation. Therefore, I'm leaving a two-star review. You have some areas to improve as a customer-facing company, and I wish you the best. Whether it be more flexibility in management decisions on standardized prices or an ability to help out and reduce the price for a customer when it makes the most sense. Ultimately, I just felt like another number to get a sale, and or commission. **Update, leaving a 1 star review after the general manager's response on Google- Apparently, price gouging customers is acceptable if they agree to the service. I recently purchased a 47-year-old townhouse and contacted Atlantic Duct Cleaning to clean the the ducts for what I believe was the first time since the house was built. Because the previous owner painted over all of the vents, they were essentially sealed to the ceilings/walls and I had to use a utility knife to remove them all prior to ADC's arrival to avoid wall damage. I unscrewed each vent grill and secured them again to make sure that the technicians would be able to do so without issue, as well. I used an Angie's List coupon to get the complete duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning for $395, which seems reasonable for Northern Virginia. The company was able to schedule me for two days out, which was a great turn around time. Two technicians came out and were polite but left a mess and cut a few corners... The receptionist at ADC and one of the technicians told me that one 10x10 hole would be cut in my furnace vent to clean it and that it would be sealed prior to their arrival. They actually cut THREE large holes in my vents and left lots of sharp, metal shavings on my basement floor. I saw one technician vacuum up some debris that fell from a ceiling vent on the main level of my house, but debris was left on the floor below the vents in almost every other room. This wouldn't have been a big deal if they had told me I would need to clean up (especially the metal shavings) as soon as they left, but the cleaning on the main level made me believe they were cleaning up as they went along. Lint from the dryer vent was also left in my front yard. Lastly, I went to replace the vent grill one one of my return vents and found that the screws were not actually screwed back into the ceiling, and that a putty or caulk had been used to hold the grill to the ceiling instead. Fortunately it hadn't dried by the time I removed the grill so it didn't pull off any ceiling/drywall with it. I was happy with how the vents looked when the technicians were done but the mess, additional holes in my vents, and the putty were upsetting to me. I don't think I would use this company again. read more

I had hired some other people to clean my dryer vent and at first it worked and my clothes dried in an hour. Over a few weeks it slowed to taking 2 hours to dry the clothes. I hired these people to reclean it out but despite charging $300 they did not remove the blockage and there was no difference at all and now I need to hire a third company in a three month period. Save yourself the trouble and hire a company that actually makes sure the vent is unblocked. read more

I hired Atlantic Vent Cleaning to clean my dryer vent. I thought they did good work at the time and they finished quickly, but ever since my dryer vent has been raining lint down (the tube runs up and across the ceiling to the wall). I'm not sure if they did not seal the tube properly or what. I will probably not use them again. Edited to update: The company called me right away after I posted this review and the owner came out within the hour to fix the problem. They identified and fixed the problem, installed a new and better hose, and sealed the vent completely. I appreciate the quick response and excellent service and will use this company again. read more
