This team was so easy to work with! I called them on a Tuesday for a standard dryer vent cleaning and they were able to come at 8AM Thursday. My mom works for a dryer vent company in another location, so I know what to look for in a high quality cleaning company versus one that says they clean vents but don't actually clean the dryer vent. MAC Master did everything I expected, and they were professional and friendly. Their prices are also very reasonable for the quality of service they provide. I highly recommend them! read more

RESPONSE TO BUSINESS: The second cleaning was done Sept. 2021 so it's been 14ish months since you were here. I based my second review on two things: 1. I was informed that dryer vents should be cleaned every 2-3 years, and 2. You did clog the vent the first time you were here and I did call and pay a dryer technician unnecessarily only to find out my vent was clogged. You had to come back a second time to try to clean it again, which I appreciate. If you read my reviews, they don't speak negatively of your business. In my first review, I stated that people should hire you and I suggested that if they do, they should do a walkthrough since some of my vents were missed. At that point, if I didn't like your company, I wouldn't have hired you a second time. With regard to the second cleaning, again, my review isn't negative, I'm stating my experience. If you remember, when you returned after learning about the clog, you came here and stated that builders shouldn't put these grates on the exhaust vents. You were basically suggesting it's the builders fault for the clog and there's little you can do about it. Whether that's true or not, the grates are what they are and they need cleaning. If your company doesn't go on roofs to clean them, then I believe it makes sense for somone with an exhaust vent on their roof to hire someone that does go on roofs to clean them. My 3-star rating is based on: 1. that vents were missed the first time I used your service, and 2. that my dryer exhaust vent was immediately clogged the second time I used your service. What rating do you suggest for that? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I used MAC Master again after I moved. They came in and cleaned the HVAC unit and the dryer vent. The next day, my dryer stopped drying. Since I had just had the vent cleaned, it had to be the dryer. I called a dryer technician to come check it out. Turns out, that the dryer vent was clogged. I called MAC Master to tell them of the issue. They came out again and mentioned that builders usually put a grate on the exhaust vent of dryers so that animals don't go into them, however, mine is on the roof and they don't go on roofs. They went into my attic and punched a hole in my dryer vent and tried to clean it from there. About a year later, my dryer isn't drying again. This time I used the trick the dryer tech showed me to see if it's the vent. The trick is to run the dryer with the dryer door open (you have to hold the door closed switch so it runs while the door is open) and hold a paper towel over the lint exhaust vent (with the lint filter removed). By doing this, you can see if the vent is trying to suck in the paper towel (make sure you don't lose that paper towel in there!). There was zero suction, so my vent was clogged again. I'm not surprised considering it was not cleaned and the grate probably had a few unclogged holes for air flow this whole time. I had to hire another HVAC cleaning company that does go on roofs to come and clean the dryer vent again. This should not need to be done yearly if it's cleaned properly. So after paying MAC Master for the cleaning, I wasted money on a dryer technician, and then had to pay another HVAC company for a full dryer vent cleaning to make sure the grate was cleaned. I've attached a picture of the grate. My suggestion is that If you have a dryer venting out of your roof, hire a company that will go on your roof to do a full cleaning. read more

These guys were great. I needed a dryer vent clean out and they were able to come the next day, arrived on time, and were professional and very easy to deal with. I can easily recommend MAC Master if they are in your area. The pricing was also upfront and reasonable in my opinion. read more

Highly recommended!! If I could give them 6 stars I would do it!!! These guys cleaned my HVAC system and dryer vent a couple weeks ago and went above and beyond. They were friendly, knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service! It's getting hard to find people these days that have a good work ethic and care about their work. You can really tell M.A.C. Master takes pride in what they do. I couldn't be more happy with the services they provided. I will definitely be recommending them to others and calling them next time I need my HVAC and dryer vent cleaned. read more

These guys were amazing. We had birds trying to nest in our vent for the microwave. I started researching duct cleaning companies and pest control companies. MAC Master replied quickly with a very reasonable estimate. No issues with scheduling either. Upon arrival, they got to work quickly. They were very knowledgeable and experienced with getting rid of bird nests. They snaked/vacuumed the ducts from the exterior and they removed the microwave and cleaned from the interior. They even sanitized it (to make the wife happy ha). Anyway, very good company. I'm happy. Will use them again. read more

Very pleased with the work done, professional, thorough and efficient. Responded immediately to my need and was good value

Excellent service. Clear quoting. Good value. Helpful staff. I called and then they texted me a quote. Very helpful.

These guys really care about their clients! I hada hood vent riddled with bird nests and two birds and these birds were sneaky and unshaken by all the noise and suction but finally we got them and they were fine. They carefully cared to rid us from these birds, but also handled the birds with care. They really care about the whole client and price their services fairly! Great small town service feel with big city service! I highly recommend these guys. They really care! read more

Pricing beats the competition. These guys are quick, prompt and thorough. They also made excellent recommendations for future prevention. Will absolutely use these guys again. read more

Technicians arrived at exact time as was communicated to me. They were extremely professional and kept me posted as to when service would be complete. The price was as stated with no additional cost. Highly recommend and will definitely use again. read more

These guys are great! The owner is responsive and helpful. If you have a dryer vent that is located on the 2nd or 3rd story, they have no problem accessing it and getting the job done. They're also affordable compared to other places around the DC area I looked into/hired. Wish I had gone with MAC Master from the beginning. read more

Tamas et al did a great job cleaning my air ducts and vents. Very friendly as he explained the process. He and his colleague worked efficiently. An important factor was the price. I did check other service providers and M.A.C. had the best price. Additionally, this is a small, local company. Supporting small businesses is important. Will use these guys again and highly recommend them. read more

I thought the price was good, I inquired with 5 different companies and I thought theirs was the best for the coverage they provided. They did all the registers, the system, the intakes, and the dryer vent. Showed me before and after pictures. They cleaned up after themselves and seemed to take care not to damage anything. read more

Fantastic and superior service. These guys did an amazing job both timely and efficient. I highly recommend them to anyone and you will love their work and the results. I'll definitely use them again. Thank you M.A.C. Master. read more

Bought a new house and figured we should do the air ducts and dryer vent cleaning so we had a fresh start. So glad we did because it was terrible!!! Looked like the previous owner had never done it before! A two man team came and did a great job. They were on time, super professional, and were very respectful of our house and took care to do a thorough job, all at a fair price. They showed us before and after photos to explain what they did, talked us through the process, and we couldn't have been more pleased. We chose them because they came highly recommended by our contractor and we will definitely use them again and recommend them to our friends! read more

Thomas was very responsive and did an excellent job. He was mindful of everything that needed to be moved and was very tidy. The ducts hadn't been cleaned & now they are SO clean. He even cleaned our dryer for free. Use this company and you will be satisfied. read more

Just used this company for the second time and highly recommend it. Very responsive, fast scheduling, on-time, polite, clean, and reasonably priced. I will definitely continue to use them. read more

They did a great job. Prompt and friendly. We told them to not worry about our dryer duct because we had just done it. It was included in the price, so they ended up doing it. The amount of stuff they were able to remove from there was amazing and scary. The before and after photos he showed us of the ducts were crazy. I would and will use him again! read more

My wife insisted that I get my vent ducts cleaned. I figured the HEPA filter on my unit filtered out pretty much everything so why the heck would I pay good money to have someone clean out my ducts. But she insisted so I called MAC Masters. They quoted me $525 and I was like "$525?!?!?!? FOR WHAT!?!?!" But I had to get someone and that was the lowest quote from a company with good reviews. So I figured I'd pay the money and complain about what a rip-off duct cleaning is for about a week to get it out of my system. BUT, when I saw how hard they worked and how much dust they removed from my vents (I'm embarrassed to say how much), I felt like I got my money's worth and I highly recommend them. Unless you are in a huge rush, get these guys. Wait if you have to, but try not to rush it and get someone who is going to half a$$ it. MAC Masters drilled a bunch of holes into my ducts (where the ducts turned corners) to get these football sized piles of dust our of the corners of the ducts, they cleaned the vents and used brushes and took a ton of photos to show me what I had in there. They left the house clean and never tried to sell me something I didn't need I still do my own dryer vent because that's a once a year sort of thing but I will be calling these guys every 5 years or so. On the one hand I hope he does well, but on the other hand I get the feeling that he is going to be a very busy man in 5 years. read more

Being the holiday season I search around to have my ducts cleaned. Several companies insisted on scheduling a preliminary appointment to give me a quote, others quoted over the phone. I finally chose M.A.C. Master because Thomas - the owner gave me a very reasonable quote as well as thoroughly told me what the duct cleaning service entailed. He texted me after our phone conversation to confirm. He texted me the night before his crew was to arrive. His team arrived on time the next morning. Very professional and thorough. Cost was great, too. Would definitely recommend read more

Folks from MAC master were very professional from the beginning to the end of the service. Price was very competitive, service was great and transparent. They made sure that every was ok by following up on a problem I had after the service was over. Due to this, I had my friend use this company for his house. In the end, the owner knows how to service his customers. read more

Great service with excellent pricing. The two guys who did the job worked hard on our Hvac system for half a day! The owner was one of the techs! Lots of disgusting dust got sucked out. Now we can breathe again! Also the old house smell is gone! read more

I called 5-6 different dryer vent cleaning companies. MAC Master had the best price and impressively clear communication before, during, and after the service. They show care for both the client and the work that's uncommon these days. I was impressed with the detailed pictures of the entire process they sent me as I was not able to be there personally during the service. I don't write reviews often, and I don't get paid for this review. These guys deserve the highest rating there is. read more

Excellent response time (next-day service) and the work was professional and perfect.

Tamas and his partner were friendly and professional. The dryer vent duct had not been cleaned for more than 10 years (maybe 15?) and the moisture and lint created a sold mass that was stuck in the duct. My dryer was taking about 2 and half hours to dry clothes. They were able to extract the gunk. They kept me updated to the whole time. My dryer now takes a little over one hour to dry. I will definitely refer them to my family and friends and for my future duct cleaning. Above all, They have the best rate! Thank you Tamas! read more

These guys are the best. Great communication, very good pricing and the nicest guys. They responded right way, answered all my questions, arrived early. They are professional and explained what they were doing every step of the way. I do a ton of research on everything and I'll be darned but I cannot find a negative review of them anywhere on yelp or Facebook and I can see why. The old owners of my home had pets and never had the ducts cleaned and we also have pets so you can imagine is how much junk was in the ductwork. My ducts and vents are so much cleaner. If you are on the fence please do yourself a favor and call them read more

There are not enough great things to say about this company, their quality service, or the professionals they employ! Not only did Tamas & Zsolt do an amazing job on cleaning the ducts, but they went above and beyond. In addition to showing me how the HVAC dampers work (so I can maximize airflow to the stuffy 3rd floor), they also put longer screws into some return registers which were barely hanging on AND corrected an exhaust fan and ceiling vent which had been left broken by previous painters. This level of personalized service was par for the course with these two and I am so grateful to have discovered ethical, respectful professionals. They cleaned up behind them and I've gained two more degrees of cold air to the 3rd floor thanks to their hard work! read more

I contacted via Yelp, and they responded quickly. Prompt scheduling as well. I received a text reminder the day before, and they arrived early for the appointment time. The cleaning was quick, and they discussed some issues with my vent. They also took COVID precautions (wore masks and took off shoes). Overall a thorough cleaning. Highly recommended! read more

Just completed my first experience with M.A.C. Master. The requested service was dryer and vent line cleaning. Tamas, the owner I believe, apologized for arriving less than two minutes after the 8:00am appointed time. I can live with that. After the greeting pleasantries, he and his assistant immediately set to work hooking up the electric and air hoses for the compressor. We live in a second-floor condominium. I had met them in the driveway in front of our garage. With the outside hook ups completed, Tamas's assistant came upstairs to our unit with me and dropped the air hose he brought with him so that Tamas could hook it up below. That done, Tamas joined us upstairs and set about thoroughly cleaning the dryer and inside vent line. Noting that the vent line was longer than needed, which resulted in a bend that affected airflow, he trimmed the line for us. Once completed he and his assistant went out on the balcony, removed the bird screen and cleaned the vent line from the outside in. With that done, they both came back inside and vacuumed up the small amount of lint that had come back into the dryer. We have a stacked front-loader washer and dryer. The dryer had been running during the entire time they were cleaning the vent line from the outside. As they completed each step, they cleaned up thoroughly the floors, dryer exterior and washing machine, our balcony and finally the driveways below. I paid by check and had the emailed invoice before they left. The entire service took about 50 minutes. I can't imagine anyone doing it better. read more

I found Thomas from here on Yelp! I need the duct cleaning out from a heavy commercial dryer. Thomas came on time and diagnosed what we need to clean out. He is one of the most honest and hardest worker I ever come across. It's very hard to find good people like Thomas! He is very sincere and he wants to do good job for you. He is not focus on the money. His main focus is to do a great job. I love that about Thomas! I strongly recommend Thomas to everyone that need the duct cleaning. We had Tamas come out to clean our dryer duct after another guy completely botched the job. Tamas is WONDERFUL! He did a very thoroughly cleaning and cleared our blocked dryer duct. He also added a cage on the outside vent to keep the birds out (which I have seen trying to get into my neighbor's!). They explained everything they were doing and were extremely reasonable. Tamas had even walked me through on the phone what I could do to use my dryer until he was able to get here (we had the issue over the holidays when he was out of the country). (DO NOT USE GREEN AIR DUCTS!) I HIGHLY recommend him. Very professional and works to get the job done right. read more

We just had Master MAC Duct cleaning, (703) 862-7552, come clean our dryer duct. The owner and his helper were here for 2 hours, and the cost was $135 for the cleaning. The company charges a flat $135 for dryer duct cleaning, regardless if you're on the 2nd level or basement and how long it has been between cleanings. They work from both the inside and outside and had a tall ladder to access our duct work from the outside. They also went into our attic to inspect/fix the duct work. read more

Tamas called first to confirm appointment. Tamas was able to come out early. He was incredibly nice, polite, and efficient with cleaning out our bathroom exhaust fan vents. He worked hard and even went the extra mile by climbing up on our cornices on top of our condo columns in order to more efficientlly clean out our exhaust fan vents, which unfortunately, had quite a lot of bird nest makings. Tamas then installed mesh girding to deter the birds from going back into those vents again. Tamas did a great job and we are very pleased with the service we received. We highly recommend M.A.C. Masters to everyone. read more
