After extensive research I hired JCS to clean and inspect my chimney when I moved in. I assumed it was done well but I didn't see any photos. Fast forward 6 months (I never used the fireplace during the 6 months) and I was converting to gas logs. The gas fireplace company said I needed a chimney inspection and cleaning. I told them I had it 6 months ago - but I needed a new one. Fine. I used a different company to inspect the chimney and do some brick work. I saw the photos of the debris on the shelf and inside the chimney!! The other company removed Half of a 5 gallon bucket of debris. And they showed me a nail or screw one damper that was not secured during the first cleaning. So I am very disappointed - did JCS even do anything? Oh, and I paid double to JCS rather than the second company for the same services. TLDR: I do not recommend JCS read more

They arrived on time to clean out our dryer vent. Great costumer service, decent pricing, and quick service. They also noted some damage we had to the dryer vent exterior and provided recommendations as well as taped it to seal for now until we could fix it. Good company and would recommend. read more

On time, efficient and thorough. I appreciate their inspection and not being pushy. Will definitely do business with them again!

I have used JCS Home Services for my wood fireplace cleaning, maintenance, and repair and have been very pleased with their work. They have been responsive, timely, and professional. After having some fireplace panels replaced, I had a question about the curing process, sent some pictures to confirm the wear was normal, and the team replied very quickly explaining that what I was seeing was normal, what to look for that wouldn't be normal, and that the fireplace was safe to use. On another occasion, I had a follow up question after the first use of the fireplace of the year and they were responsive, helpful, and even sent a team member out to confirm everything was functioning properly. I would highly recommend them, I have been very impressed with their work and commitment to customers. read more

JCS Home Services States on their own website that the steps for completing a dryer duct cleaning are as follows: 1.Find all exit points where ducts allow outflow from the home.2. Take airflow readings in feet per minute (fpm) to determine dryer vent performance baseline.3. Inspect the transition duct from wall to dryer. 4. Ensure equipment and materials meet expectations of code and industry standards. 5. Vacuum and clean all vents using state-of-the-art dryer cleaning tools and techniques. 6. Snake the entire ventilation system by machine. 7. Repeat airflow measurements to demonstrate results of increased airflow and guarantee customer satisfaction. Here is the reality: Two technicians showed up at my home. The only reasons A technician entered my home was to turn the dryer on when he arrived and at the end to receive payment. One technician stood at the base of the ladder the entire time the work was taking place on the roof. The other technician utilized a drill gun with attachments that supposedly cleaned approximately 25 linear feet of dryer duct from the roof down to the base of the dryer duct inside of the laundry room. None of the technicians enter the laundry room to disconnect anything. Step five that I mentioned from their website above, states that part of their processes to vacuum and clean ALL vents. In my opinion, this was one of the most important parts of the process, and it did not happen at all. When I asked the technician how they cleaned the lint from the roof shingles outside, his answer was that it would've probably been done by the wind And should be already gone by now. The technician that was on the roof, completely disobeyed any OSHA safely guidelines By not wearing a harness or tying off to something. He could've fallen off of the roof at any point and died. It took.approx 5 minutes to take the ladder off the service van and set it up and another 5 minutes to take it down and put it back. They were gone in under 30 minutes. Ask yourself the question, did I get what I paid for? The service cost $239. I feel like I was taking advantage of. read more

Edit: The owner Jason called me to apologize for the issue and sought to make it right, which means a lot that they take that much customer care and are so responsive. I checked and my previous communications seem to have gone through but he hadn't received them. Seems like a company that really cares about clients. -- They've definitely gone downhill since I started using them many years ago. Unfortunately the most recent gutter cleaning they did a so-so job but immediately afterward I went and found tons of leaves still stuffed in my downspout. It had not rained and all the leaves had fallen, this was within 24 hours of them leaving. I took a photo and sent to the owner to see if they could come back by and finish the job up to ensure the downspouts are not clogged, but never received a reply. I may try someone new next time. read more

Liam, the Employee of the Year, stopped by today to clean my dryer vent that I have to get cleaned out yearly. Backstory - I started calling on JCS for their services last year and have been happy with the work that they have performed. Liam arrived today and was most professional and polite! I talked to him about the extensive dryer times I experienced and talked about future services - bathroom vent and possible power wash on concrete patio that I am still deciding on getting. Works solo, deserves a raise! read more

Hunter was on time, very informative on the process and hardworking! Overall JCS did an amazing job and we are very happy we chose them. We are customers for life now! Karen read more

I have now used JCs on 2 separate occasions. Once for air duct cleaning and a second time for house cleaning and patio power washing. They exceeded expectations on both visits. They under promised and over delivered. When cleaning my patio, (which now looks brand new), they called and said my fence looked rough so they hit it as well at no extra. Great company! read more

Tons of money. Don't bother negotiating. I decided to get what you pay for. The guys were incredible. Mannerly, totally professional from start to finish. I realized with the job they did why they charge what they do. Really top notch vent cleaning company. Office staff was 5 stars. Knew exactly who I was when I called & super responsive online. Added on my dryer vent for $150 while they were at my place. Never thought I'd be so excited to spend $640, but I felt wow these guys really worked hard for the money. Every single vent on 3 floors of my place. read more

JCS is an amazing company that pays attention to detail and gets the job done right. They found problems I wasn't aware of (and let me see them myself). It is scary what could have happened had I not called them. The techs they sent out were extremely thorough and insured we understood the issues, repairs and follow up. Also, the owner got us on the schedule the next day, answering my quote request in 20 minutes, even when he was on vacation. This is why I use local businesses with excellent ratings on Yelp and Checkbook. They will be on my calendar for my dryer vent next year. read more

Hired JCS Home Services to inspect and sweep the chimney of the property that I just moved into. Liam and Logan came and got the job done in no time. Liam also climbed onto the roof to see if anything needs fixing, which was not part of a Level 1 check but he did it anyway. When I asked him if I should do a Level 2 check, he said he didn't think it was needed based on what he has seen. I have a wood burning stove which I have no experience with, so I asked him to give me a quick tutorial. And he cheerfully did so. He also showed me pictures of the chimney crown, which is not ideal, and advised me on how I can prolong the life of the existing setup. He said that would at least protect it from water leaking in until I decide to replace the whole crown. I really appreciate his honesty and advice read more

Back in 2018 I had a bad flea infestation I need my clothes dryer to treat my clothes, curtains, etc. At that time my dryer failed to dry clothes. JCS came and cleaned the event. After that the dyer still didn't dry clothes. A service technician came out and claimed the dryer vent needed to be cleaned. JCS came back, check their work and showed me their test of the vent being cleared. I called the service technician back. Only THEN did he say the dryer needed to be replaced I look forward to JCS providing the services that I need. read more

I called ahead and made an appointment for inspection. They we're on time, fast, friendly and I was out in less than 20. Great experience

Poor service. Poor quality. Poor communication. Will not use them again. Had to have someone else come clean a second time after them because their service was so ineffective read more

All I can say is Amazing service!!! We hired them to have our fireplace cleaned and inspected in our new home. Upon inspection there were cracks found in the front and back panels and they needed to be replaced or they could start a fire (ekk!) Jason was able to quote us a very reasonable price, work was scheduled to be done within a week! So impressed with the final product, JCS fixed a previous problem with the fireplace alignment, replaced the 2 panels, cleaned up after themselves and even took the old panels away for removal! Jason left detailed written instructions on how to cure the fireplace after the new panels were installed. Loved their work so much we recommend JCS to my parents who are now having work done to their fireplace as well!! Sidenote for any single females who have concerns with workers coming into their homes, I was home by myself for their second visit and not once did I feel uncomfortable! read more

Today Ben and Cameron arrived this morning ready to do our chimney inspection and clean the dryer vents which they did efficiently and effectively. They were friendly, competent, and willing to honor the price from our past cleaning. As seniors, that meant a lot. I highly recommend this family owned business that hires top notch technicians. See you again in two years!!! read more

I contacted JCS during covid. Received a detailed email automatic reply with price to clean the dryer vent. Jason WS very communicative and helpful. Guys showed up on time and did what they said they were going to do. read more

Very professional and courteous these guys showed up a lot earlier than we were set, for a dryer vent cleaning. They called and updated me via voicemail about their earlier arrival. They explained the process throughly and very legible and they were done in a matter of minutes. They climbed up my roof and cleaned the vent from the outside. Also their price was fair and very competitive! Just excellent ! Will definitely use them again and recommend to all friends and family! The service aniversat was actualul performed for a property we used to rent at the time. They were hired by the home owner. Couple years after, today's day, I hired them to clean my own house's dryer vent. That did an amazing job. The crew was very professional and customer oriented. Everything went flawlessly from timely and precisely scheduling to the actual work performance. I would definitely use them again. Thank you! read more

Our clothes dryer was not drying correctly. JCS was responsive and timely in setting an appointment and arrived as promised. The tech diagnosed the issues, corrected the problem, tested before leaving and were clean and efficient. I believe I paid fairly for the value received and I would use JCS again if needed. read more

Wonderful company to do business with. The team that came out to my house arrived on time, they were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I appreciated that they took the time to show me what they were doing and why, and they didn't try to sell me services I didn't need. I highly recommend this company and will use them again for sure! read more

My HOA required all condo owners have their dryer vents cleaned, and they quoted a decent price from JCS. We were allowed to shop around or use another company, but I am lazy. I called JCS and was able to get an appointment for the next day which was amazing. Two guys came out, and they were finished super fast. I was happy with the price, and the speed of service. They were running behind schedule, but they were super friendly about it, and they updated me with phone calls to let me know, so I didn't find it to be a problem. Altogether I was happy with the service, and I'll definitely use them again. And, ladies, we all know home repair services are a dime a dozen, but good DAY it sure is nice to have a repairman in your home that's nice to look at. Between the tattoos and the shirt in size XS... I see you, hottie dryer vent cleaner men. I think even my poor husband realized I was drooling, ha! If you're going to go with a company that's coming into your home, it doesn't hurt to make it a company with decent-looking workers. read more

This company has provided services to us twice now. Both times they have been polite, organized and efficient. The last visit was during the quarantine and the young men working wore masks. They continue to do quality work. read more

We used JCS in early December after having a recommendation from a repairman. Our dryer just stopped drying clothing and I was about to lose my mind, so fast forward, our dryer vent was clogged. Badly too. So, I called JCS immediately, with the repairman in the house and they came out the same exact week, a day later. Two wonderful young men came, cleaned out the dryer vent, and made sure everything was nice and clean before they left. I look forward to reaching out to them again for a yearly/semi-yearly cleaning. read more

Reached out to JCS yesterday morning for a level 2 chimney sweep that includes a camera inspection, we have a heatilator as part of our fireplace, and have seen a few small animals in it recently. I also signed up for a dryer vent cleaning. They got back to me promptly and scheduled something for the next day. Ben and Liam arrived on time, and were great guys and professional. They took apart the heatilator and checked for animals as much as they could, they didn't find anything, but did a far more thorough job than the pest removal service I had tried to use previously. They also explained how my fireplace metal box works with the heatilator. They swept the chimney, and said it was clean enough to not have to run the camera down it and charge me money for the service. They found a few cracks in my chimney top, explained why it is a problem, and provided an estimate to repair. They also did a great job cleaning my dryer vent, which is directly below a yellow jacket nest I had treated the same day. I told them they didn't have to worry about the vent because of the yellow jackets, but they did it anyways (without getting stung). Overall, a great experience. read more

Hired JCS to do some duct cleaning for a client. Super responsive and accommodating. Jason stayed in contact constantly and the crew arrived on time and did an excellent job. You don't find many companies with this kind of honesty and work ethic. I will be using them for my own home in the near future for duct cleaning and chimney sweeping. These guys are good and they know what they are doing. They also take great care in your home moving the big equipment in and out. 5 STARS ac cross the board. read more

Pretty happy with their service. They were willing to come out on a Saturday last year, out of their normal service area. They were running early and called to see if it was okay to come by early- uh, yea... lol Did a thorough job sweeping; guess I forgot to do it the year before which was funny; I swore up and down I do it every year... and proceeded to do an assessment of the surround. Provided an upfront honest assessment of the condition of the fireplace and its surround. Of course, because we are talking about me, the news wasn't great, but, the issue here is their service, and their service was thorough; I would not only call them again, but, recommend their services to others. read more

I called Jason for chimney sweep however he wasn't able to do his work because we have this out of this world wood stove that has other issues. It's very rare nowadays to have someone come to your house and not charge you if no work was done. I'm so really thankful for him. He helped me think through what options I have to transform our fireplace into something fully functional without incurring too much cost. I will defnitely call him again to do the sweep once we have this wood stove removal figured out. Thanks, Jason. You're the man! read more

Very happy with service. They were easy to schedule, came on time and were quick with the chimney cleaning. Also explained potential work that could be done on chimney without being pushy. Would highly recommend! read more

In Jan. 2021 our dryer threw an error code relating to restricted air flow. We were very pleased to get JCS Home Services out to clean out the dryer duct right away. We were also very pleased with their COVID-19 precautions. They completed the job in about 45 minutes, to include getting up on the roof to where the dryer vent exhausts. The dryer now runs A-OK. Price was reasonable. These guys have a good thing going. All as advertised, they know what they're doing. Recommended. Five stars. read more

Contacted about Gutter Cleaning, responded right away, gave quote after looking the house over ( assuming they used Google Maps Street View to view the house ) and gave a reasonable quote, added Dryer Vent Cleaning ( cant be to safe regarding that ) that was also Fair, they had an open date later on that week. they kept me up to date regarding any change in times. The Cleaners's themselves were quick and unobtrusive, they even had those shoe booties when coming inside, which usually i have not seen in the past from other's. They did not leave a mess when cleaning the gutters and vent, and checked the flow to make sure they were clear. over all very happy with the Service, Plan on being a repeat customer read more

Responded to me very quickly and were fair on their price for the services but I was pleased due to their professionalism and quality of work. On the day when they were scheduled to replace my ceramic panel of the fireplace they were on time and very considerate. Both guys work foot covers to avoid tracking dirt in the house and completed the job promptly and made sure to leave the area as clean as it was when they arrived. read more

Going with JCS was an extremely dissappointing decision that I made. I initially called them to get a chimney sweep, but they said that our chimney looked very clean so we should not get a chimney sweep and they hustled us into getting the "inspection"...the inspection literally took about five to ten minutes and then they took $150. I called the owner back afterwards and I am not sure if he was having a bad day, but he sounded very arrogant and trying to tell us stuff like "I checked the gps, and it said reported that our guys were over there four 24 minutes." What he didn't consider is that those guys sat there after the job was done and could have been eating lunch or on their phones or whatever. Regardless, we payed $140 more than we think we should and will never deal with this arrogant and selfish owner again! read more

Liam and his coworker showed up on time, we very friendly, and explained everything they did. We had been having issues with our brand new dryer auto-shutting off since we got it installed in our new build a year ago. They explained that the flap at the top of the vent on the roof was stuck shut. They fixed it promptly and the service charge for the dryer vent cleaning was far more reasonable than other companies we'd received quotes from. We will use them again for maintenance cleanings in the future! read more

The JCS team scheduled me on short notice and came this morning to clean out my dryer vent and clear a bathroom exhaust vent of a bird's nest and debris. They were personable, efficient, and thorough, and they cleaned up my yard afterwards--even took before and after photos of the exhaust vent at my request. Excellent work--5 stars from me. read more

I hired Jason to replace rain caps on my HVAC furnace vents and also do a dryer vent cleaning. Jason reached out to me to discuss the types of rain caps available and suggest some options. He ended up ordering a custom rain cap and have his guys install it. They also cleaned my dryer vent at the same time. Found this company based on neighborhood reviews. All the accolades were spot on. Very impressed with their precautions- masks, booties and a questionnaire about my health to ensure the safety of its employees. No other contractor coming to my house has done that.
