Had a leak in basement bathroom ceiling. I cut out the drywall ceiling, identified the joint where the pipe was leaking, determined a third floor toilet was the source of the water, set up a bucket, and then called swiftpro. Tyson came out and quickly determined the leak was not coming from the joint but rather from somewhere above. So now there was a mystery leak hidden behind the walls somewhere between the third floor and the basement. He suspected the pipe to be behind and certain section of wall on the middle floor and thought maybe a nail could be the culprit and checked to see if we had anything nailed to the wall, we didn't. So he had to pick a section of wall to cut behind to check and on his first try found the pipe and showed me exactly where the previous owner put a nail through the toilet drain pipe. I was originally concerned we'd have to open many walls and ceilings to find it and I'm still wondering how he found it so quickly. He also answered a ton of my questions. read more

I schedule an appointment, they tell me 12-5. At 5:05 I get a voicemail from the plumber saying if I don't return his call within 15 minutes he's moving on to another appointment. I call him back five times within those 15 minutes and he actually hangs up on me. I call their office they say they'll get back to me, they never did. Jan 2025 (frozen hot water pipe, cost around $1000): SwiftPro sent out a plumber who was also somewhat of a handyman. That was a plus. He tried to fix it by replacing the pipe under the sink. Next he made a hole in the basement ceiling (under the sink) to find and examine the pipes. He installed foam sleeve around both pipes. Additionally, he installed "electrical heating tape" under the hot water pipe. He replaced the insulation, spackled the ceiling, and painted to match. Two issues: 1) he left for the night after replacing the pipe and it slow leaked (bucket filled every 5-6 hours). He did repair the pipe the next morning. 2) The heating element was not to code. A new power outlet was added for the heating tape to plug into. Unfortunately, this outlet was connected to the light switch controlling the under cabinet lights [and not marked as the heating tape switch] and it did not have a thermostatic breaker to prevent fire on hotter days --- Jan 2026 (cold water pipe froze): SwiftPro sent out a technician to look at the issue. They recommended better insulation (spray) in the basement ceiling space where the pipes are closest to the exterior. SwiftPro sent out a second technician after consulting with Customer Service and Raul identified that the heating tape outlet had no power - when I flipped the under cabinet lights switch (guess), the cord lit up. What a scammer I had had a 35 minute conversation with someone at Swiftpro on Friday describing the issue that I have with my mini split he assured me they have a great deal of experience and expertise in this area so I didn't follow up with other other contractors this morning. Our furnace fan died before a 3-day holiday weekend, in a period of high humidity. We were not too concerned that it took about a week to notice the failure, get a diagnosis, order the part, and replace it. But what that combination triggered - exacerbated by an undiscovered open gap in a pipe intended to exhaust humidity to the outside -- was an explosion of mold in our basement apartment bathroom and furnace room. Another company had been contracted to deal with the mold in the bathroom ceiling and walls as well as that which was beginning to cover the surface of everything in the area. That company did not handle the air ducts, leaving us to research and find SwiftPro and Aaron. Under such circumstances, it is not often you begin to quickly feel trust in what someone is telling you what is needed to fix the issue. It did not take long at all to experience that rarity with Aaron of SwiftPro. It was Aaron who noted the continued high humidity in our furnace room, leading eventually to the discovery of a gap in the pipe that was pumping humidity gathered by the furnace right back into the room. This is a company whose expertise and knowledge is evident in the entire crew who came to address the issues with our air ducts. Already trusting Aaron, we found Luke and Jamie showed the same friendliness and skill already entrusted in Aaron. They were thorough and unintrusive in their work.
