My AC broke during our extreme heat. I called this afternoon for a diagnostic appt. They were able to send someone out 2 hours later. I had asked another company to diagnose the problem and they said that they tried to fix it but it would not cool and I needed a whole new system. Mason came out and carefully diagnosed the problem, offered a solution and then fixed the outside unit. We trust Mason and his careful attention to detail. We look forward to him and his coworkers taking care of our HVAC system as long as they can keep it going. We are so grateful to have a house that is cooling off. We will definitely be asking for their support and assistance for regular maintenance and for any additional HVAC needs. My husband and I are super impressed with Mason and Meade's Heating and Air. read more

We've been on the annual plan for Meade's Heating and Air for a couple years now. We're in Reston, and our previous HVAC contractor was just too far away for that rel'p to continue. That said, we've been very pleased by the reliability, responsiveness, and transparency in pricing. We've learned a few things about our related systems along the way. All in all, this has been a very positive new relationship, read more

Had a service call to troubleshoot hvac, technician was knowledgeable and great at answering questions, would recommend!

Mason was on time and professional. He repaired the issue and then examined other areas to make sure there were no potential underlying causes. He stuck around afterward for a while to ensure everything kept working before departing. read more

I called Meade's after getting the run around from other "top reviewed" HVAC companies. It is a great business that delivers top notch service at a fair price. A special thanks to the techs who thoroughly explained the situation. Also, a special thanks to office Manager Noah. read more

I chose Meade's based on their strong reviews for installing a new attic HVAC unit, and the installation itself was smooth and professional. However, the system was not set up correctly from the start. It relied heavily on auxiliary heat during heating and failed to cool properly when tested at the start of summer. When I reached out to Meade's, their technician confirmed that the outdoor unit wasn't operating correctly and that the refrigerant was significantly out of specification. As a result, the system effectively ran in an incorrect configuration for nearly three months during peak winter, leading to significantly higher electricity bills (about 3x normal). Once corrected, the system behavior changed immediately. This was also clearly evidenced through Nest thermostat history, which showed auxiliary heat being used on nearly every heating cycle during that period. I understand that energy usage was higher for many homeowners during the colder months, but in this case the system behavior changed noticeably after the issue was fixed, which points to a setup issue rather than just weather. These were installation-related issues that should have been caught during initial setup. While Meade's was responsive in sending a technician after i reached out to them to get the system checked, there was no acknowledgment of the impact beyond that. Despite the elevated energy costs, no credits or accommodation were offered. Overall, good responsiveness, but disappointing quality control and follow-through after installation. read more

Great experience with Meade's. They were professional with the winter check of the furnace and did the best job ever cleaning the 2 stage fan and cleaning the gas burners. In the spring they cleaned all the heat A/C heat exchangers by removing the skins, applying a cleaner, brushing away the dirt buildup and reassembly, My unit is 20 years old my bills are the lowest in my neighborhood. I was so satisfied I signed up for their priority program as additional response protection if there is a failure in the middle of the night or other nonworking time. https://www.yelp.com/biz/meades-heating-and-air-sterling read more

Meade's went above and beyond for us when our AC went out. The owner was in contact with us letting us know that they would get to our home before the end of the business day. Their technician, Mason, showed up an hour earlier than he said he would. He knew what the problem was just by me describing the noise the unit was making. He had it fixed within an hour walking me through what was broken and how he was going to fix it. He also gave a great deal of information of proactive maintenance of the HVAC system. He was kind and professional. Overall great experience with this company, I would highly recommend. read more

Our A/C busted during a heatwave. Meade's responded to our request for emergency service quickly and efficiently. Mason got on site within hours on Sunday of a holiday weekend, was very professional, fixed the issue quickly, and took the extra time to explain everything along the way. This was our first experience with Meade's and won't be the last. Excellent customer service, fair prices and no-hassle! read more

Meade are always very polite and responsive. I'm so glad to have them available to us as you get an actual human on the phone and a local one, rather than someone in a far away call center. We had them here today to check out a noise from our air handler and found out an animal had gotten in and been pretty much pulverized. Mason was a huge help in dealing with the issue and providing advice around a couple other areas of a concern related to our unit. I am truly grateful for his help in the responsiveness of the Meade team! We will be using them for a long time. I highly recommend them! read more

Meade's is by far THE BEST HVAC company I've ever worked with. They scheduled my job quickly and communicated every step of the way. Jimmy was wonderful! He was incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, and thorough and actually took the time to explain the challenges my HVAC's design posed to the maintenance I was requesting. No other company ever botherd to do that. Jimmy was able to complete the agreed upon work in a timely manner and never tried to up-sell or pressure me into any services. I am so impressed with Meade's that I fired my home warranty company and signed up for Meade's maintenance plan! read more

This is my second time using Meade's, and whether it's a simple check up fix or a more detailed repair, Meade's is fast, flexible on scheduling, and up front with costs. I love how they always take time to explain what work they did, why it matters, and future preventative measures. Shout out to Jimmy today for his professionalism and detailed explanations! read more

Six weeks later, the motor is still functioning perfectly. Meade's Preventive Maintenance (PM) agreement calls for them to inspect and tighten 24 volt connections. During four previous PM visits (2025, 2024, 2023, and 2022) the technician failed to perform this procedure. Had it ever been done, this problem would never have happened. Meades richly deserves 0 stars, but I will have to settle for 1. They may fancy themselves the sharpest guy in town, but remember knives cut both ways. I could never recommend them to anyone. read more

Very poor experience overall. They charged me $79 for scheduled seasonal maintenance which they then called an "inspection". Then told me on site they needed to charge an additional $287 to complete another "inspection", and tried to sell me 1k worth of refrigerant services when all I needed was simple annual maintenance for a perfectly working unit, 3 years old, in a new community, and under warranty. read more

As with so many of us, I had a complete failure of one of my HVAC systems at my house and was faced with the difficult and time-consuming task of now needing to research and find a qualified and reputable contractor to replace my system. So incredibly glad to have found and selected Meade!s!!! A wonderful small company where you deal with the owners of the corporation! After we agreed on the design of the replacement system there was a considerable delay in receiving all of the equipment given the worldwide supply problems. I knew about the delays ahead of time. Meade's was very good about being upfront with an estimated delivery date from the very beginning and I agreed with it. During this waiting period Meade's was wonderful about communicating with me and giving me regular updates on the expected timeframe that they would have the equipment. Once Meade's had all the equipment they were quick to come out and install my system. I honestly can't say enough good things about this company! They honored every commitment that they made to me, their team of installers were extremely professional - competent, respectful, and neat. After they were done with the installation the system was fully tested and then the team did a good job cleaning up. I'm so glad that I had these guys install my new system! If you're care about quality and you want the job done right then these are the guys to go with for your next HVAC job!! read more

Record fast reply for my Yelp Project. Transparent pricing. Came out to address my intermittent heating issue next day. Got my heat working and only charged me the diagnostic fee. Gave me options for an old system - zero pressure. Signed up for the maintenance plan taking my diagnostic fee to almost nothing. They'll come back out next month to inspect my A/C. Mason was friendly, efficient and ensured my family is sleeping warmly tonight. Awesome, worry-free experience. Thank you! read more
