I found them through Yelp project among 10 others and after talking to reps I decided to stick with Reddick,because of clear explanations of pricing and upfront fees. It's unbelievable but some companies required upfront deposit even before assessment of the issue. Our technician,Brian,was on time,called prior,came with shoe covers,quickly identified problems with toilet,gave us estimates and couple options to think about. I called next morning and next business day he returned and completed repair. Again on time,very professional and leave no dirt or waste after job. Prices are horribly high now everywhere,but plumbing can't be avoided,so their price point is adequate to area,but service is superb. Had issues with our HVAC system. Requested service through Yelp on a Friday afternoon and they were able to get us an appointment for the next morning. This was a week after we had to request a last minute cancellation due to the system working infrequently. Very honest of them to not have us book an appointment while it was working and not being able to find anything out. Steven K showed up at our door a little before 10 AM and was out the door in less than 15 minutes. He was super friendly, explained the issue clearly, and worked fast. Not bad for $99. Professional, on time, quick fix. The plumber was in and out of the house in 30 minutes, under $100.

I have a large project low/mid figure figures which requires using a camera on a sewer line to produce an estimate. Other contractors have done the camera and provided an estimate for free, with one charging $250. Reddick booked an appointment with me on the phone, did not mention a dispatch fee or a fee for the camera, and then asked for $495 once they were onsite to do the camera. The tech also said they do not give prices out on the phone. I understand needed to charge for it, though several competitors are doing it for free because its a large job. What I do not understand is a price twice that of the next closest firm ($495 versus $250) and a policy of not giving out prices on the phone. Evey other company either did it for free or disclosed the price on the phone. Waste of my time as a customer with a large job and a waste of the techs time. I use big chain plumbers from time to time and have paid premiums, that's no problem. If you want a big firm there is going to be a mark up. This was just way over the line of what was reasonable. read more

Our heater went out recently and Reddick & Sons were able to have a technician out the very next day to diagnose for a fair price as well. The control board had water damage from a recent flood and needed to be replaced; Sean R. was our technician and he was great! My water main valve sprung a pinhole leak and went unnoticed for a couple days while water was leaching under the floorboards. I called Reddick and they sent Mitch about 4 hours later after he finished his current job. He replaced the valve and was cleaned up and gone in less than an hour. Great work as always. I had a corroded hose valve that was calcified with lime and couldnt be removed by me after trying CLR to break up the corrosion. This was a major problem for our summer garden and R&S helped solve it in record time. In my opinion, which I have expressed several times on Yelp, Reddick and Sons is THE electrical company to call. I have used their services on many occasions. if you, like me, have an extremely fancy, elegant, vintage crystal chandelier, which you want to move from one house to another, you need to be very careful about whom you hire. You don't want a disaster to happen to your treasure. I didn't know any company to call, but I contacted Reddick. What an excellent choice! Carlo and his son Nicholas came to my house, took down the chandelier, and stored it carefully in a box. A couple of months later, they reinstalled it in my new condo. To my joy, not a crystal was damaged! In addition, Carlo replaced several old switches and other fixtures. Life was good. At this point, having lived in the condo for almost 2 years, I knew there were many electrical items I needed to replace. I also knew that I had to remodel and install many new outlets. Guess whom I called to bring my condo into the age of computers and tablets? Carlo is an excellent electrician. He can do anything you ask him to do. Did not find leak, told me it was something it wasnt and overcharfed me for it. I ended up finding and sealing it myself, missing grout at base of wall where it meets the floor. Charged 8x on parts (I verified with Fergusons plumbing supply). Told me a shower head I already had wouldn't work and he'd have to order one, which was a lie bc I installed it no problem. He cut 2 holes in my ceiling that wouldnt have been necessary if he had located the missing grout...whcih Mark didnt even Iook for (leak detection specialists my ass) bought a moisture detector and after 2 weeks of using the shower my repair worked. Wasted $800+ on these rip off artists. Now I have to pay to have the ceiling repaired as well. AVOID Edit: Money was fully refunded. Customer service is important to these guys. Mistakes happen but when a company stands behind their work Id work with them again. read more

Making the appointment was a bit awkward. I called after hours and got someone who didn't seem comfortable with the process. Then, someone called me the day of asking if we wanted someone to come out when I thought we already had confirmed the appointment. STOP DO NOT HIRE...Came to access the duct work and was under home only 8 minutes, did not go under entire house as rep was a very large man and I specifically told them it was a small opening. The man said he didn't't need to see all. Said all jobs like this (repair of duct work) start at 5K. Sent me a quote of 5K- even adding additional ducts. Said was a simple 1 day job. When called to start job and gave deposit or 2500.00 sent man out and then said was a leak under house. And said they would come out right after just to call them. Paid a plumber to come out and the said no leak was just ground water. I then made apt for a second plumber ( just to make sure) before he came out Reddick called and said was going to need all new duct work and most companies will not do in summer. Things a lot worse....odd the service person that actually did go under home said NOTHING about this. They could re-do all duct work ( that is project of 20K ). I said I wanted to keep original job contract and they then abandoned the job. But said they weren't abandoning job but could not do like they agreed to in contract. We've used this company for the last 3-4 HVAC jobs, so this experience was especially disappointing. Instead of feeling rewarded for our loyalty, we felt like we were being taken advantage of. The technician (Michael K) claimed he called me three times before arriving, but I only received one call. He also said he spent over an hour in our backyard doing the job, but our Nest cam footage clearly shows he spent less than 30 minutes on the job. Even more frustrating -- during the previous diagnostic visit, he never told us to turn off the AC. Then, at the follow-up service, he implied it was our fault for not doing so, saying he "assumed" we would. Isn't it his job, as the subject matter expert, to provide those instructions -- especially since we had already booked the service just two days earlier? That kind of oversight could have caused serious damage to our unit. On top of that, we were significantly overcharged. After the fact, we looked up condenser fan motor prices and found that the part costs no more than $300 retail. That means we were charged over $700 for less than 30 minutes of labor -- and again, the technician was not honest about the time spent. We also reached out to other local vendors who quoted the same job at around $600 total, confirming that we were likely overcharged by $250-$650, even for our area. The dishonest business practices and questionable professionalism have left a very bad taste in my mouth. This company has lost a loyal customer, and I won't be doing business with them again. read more

I feel like its really hard to find plumbers and HVAC people who will actually try and solve your problems. These guys are not perfect, BUT they are one of the few guys who are actually good at their job and can diagnose and fix problems. Everyone else just wants to sell you a new system. One of their guys found a leak in my HVAC system and fixed it after three other plumbers couldn't figure out the problem and just wanted to sell me a brand new system when mine was just a year old. It takes a while to get parts and the dispatch team can be kind of cranky but they are the only HVAC/plumbers I've had good experiences with. And I've gone through a few! read more

I asked for a quote to repair and/or replace of a PTAC unit. They charged me 50 dollars to come out and then told me, as the technician arrived, that they don't really repair ptac units. So the guy went up and measured the system and then gave me a quote of 3800 to replace the unit. The model number they quoted me for wasn't even close to the correct size and could be bought at Home Depot for 927 dollars. That's a significant mark up for a plug and replace repair. So disappointed with this attempted fleecing and for charging me 50 buck to measure a unit that wasn't even correct. I could have sent measurements over the phone. Beware of these guys. I feel that they were eager to take advantage of me. Thankful I moved in and only lost 50 bucks in the process. read more
