The pricing is always very reasonable, great clean service, expert craftsmanship, and overall, a pleasant experience. It's a little amusing watching him work with his team because he's like a surgeon when calling out for a tool, joint compound, or a fitting and his team surgically hands him what he needs. Definitely recommend Sa's Plumbing and happy that's he's in our area to support our plumbing needs.

It is certainly overwhelming to consider the scope and scale of a new build, and to think about what you would like the lighting to look like and how you would like it to function when the space doesn't even exist. We had the absolute best time working with Josh. First, he helped us hone our aesthetic vision, and to build cohesion into the lighting design. He also helped us wrestle with the technical challenges of recessed lighting in high slope ceilings. Through the entire process, he gave us the confidence we needed to easily make decisions and to put the vision into action for our home. Throughout the entire process, Josh was highly responsive, he communicated with clarity, and he had a fantastic sense of humor, challenging each of us appropriately when we were stuck in some kind of rut. His efficiency is remarkable and his design eye and skill is obvious. On top of all of this, he produced documentation that clearly conveyed the plan to our electrician, making our recent electrical walkthrough the best one he had ever been on. The electrician told us that most of the time people arrive with little to no clue of what they want, and it is a laborious, frustrating and overwhelming process. We arrived with our Josh plans and knew exactly where things were going to be and what they would look like. We are very excited to see this house come into reality. We know the lighting we selected will bring warmth and beauty to to spaces, both interior and exterior, and we feel that Dominon and Josh provided great value to us and our project.

We had a main line blockage in basement bathroom and reported sewage/water was coming in toilet and bathtub at lowest level. Technician arrived shortly after 12:00 pm and noted he didn't hear any water in main clean out line outside but could hear water slowly running. Technician firmly believed clog to be in bathroom in basement and provided option to clear line through toilet drain line. Tech estimated 2-3 hrs to resolve issue. He spent close to 1 hr answering our questions, preparing & bringing tools in home then he removed stool to access floor stool drain and allow snake hose to clear main line with drain snaking device to clear the blockage. Tech cleared the line in well under 30 min after first 15 feet sent down drain and invoice stated he pushed 40+ feet of cable through main line. Tech didn't report what exactly was blockage at all and then stated another $850+ to run a camera to confirm blockage was cleared. This cost was excessive and other plumbing services in area charge much less. We called office to inquire and was told they charge separate for the service but we declined. Tech heard we called office and in end said price was $282.03. Pretty sure he felt busted with his initial cost of over $850 scam to run camera and to save face he lowered price. Invoice breakout: $589.00 - Clear main line with a drain cables machine, which uses a steel snaking device to clear the blockage. $308.63 - Remove the toilet, clean, and prepare the mounting system at the floor and reset the toilet with a new wax seal and mounting hardware. Teacher Discount Discount $-44.75 Technician had a very cold demeaner and customer service needs some work. Prices are pretty steep compared to other plumbing services like My Plumber who charges $99 for Sewer/Main Line Camera Inspection + Comprehensive Report & 3 Hour Arrival Sale Price $99.00. Overall, Marines Services seem to charge more for basic services. We support our Vets and appreciate their services but, provide a warning with this review, to beware of scam pricing possibly happening. I myself served 34 yrs with DOD/Gov and not too happy with services received today. I'm ashamed to see this happening by a Veteran owned company... so buyer beware. read more

Tony came out from Marine Plumbing as I explained that my pressure tank was "short cycling." He had no problem immediately crawling under the house's slightly cramped crawl space and then quickly located a "pin-hole" leak in one of the old corroded copper lines. He took pictures and showed them to me and then explained that there was previous "patch work" in the same area where he would then patch himself. Tony finished the whole job in about 45 minutes and advised that I might want to think about re-piping the house as there were worse corroded pipes that were just waiting to break and he had taken pictures of it all to prove it. Thank you Tony! I had a previous visit from Marine Plumbing less than a week earlier to repair a leak and then needed to re-pipe the whole house based on that assessment and advice due to badly corroded copper piping. Bobby came out later than he thought, due to a lack of plumbing materials he would need to complete the job. Bobby and his assistant went right to work and were even able to keep the water on while they were replacing the old copper piping with the new PEX A. It took them about a day and a half to complete the job and were very accommodating with letting me decide how I wanted to run the new piping and suggesting better alternatives regarding exterior hose bibs and internal frost shut-offs for weatherization in the winter months. He also explained how PEX A had advantages over copper pipe regarding freezing and bursting as well as cost advantages and repairing if it was ever required. Overall it was a good learning experience and Bobby was a really friendly person to work with. Later on he coordinated the inspection for the work but, he and his assistant did such a great job bracing the PEX A lines according to the inspector that Bobby didn't even need to show up for the county inspection (even though he was there) on the day of the inspection. I have used Marines Plumbing twice and will continue to do so. In no particular order, this is why they are great to me. They cover Arlington - like all of it. Not all local plumbers will. I found this out the hard way. They will work on condominiums. Not all local plumbers will. Total shout-out to the front-office staff. They are conscientious throughout the scheduling process; are sharp as in they know industry terms; are empathetic to your needs / odd requests because you live in a condominium with a crazy association; and are all just straight up nice. Beyond the fact that the plumbers have skills; are nice; funny; care about your place maybe more than you do; they will also work with you if you like. What I mean is that you the customer can be and active participant in the process if you so choose. For me, a more than capable craftsman with OCD who hates doing their own plumbing; I find being included in the process is helpful and reassuring that we are on the same page when it comes to costly repairs. One example is I already bought all the parts needed for the job and I just did not want to install them because I'm fixing other things. This was not a problem for Marines Plumbing. Parts were inspected and promptly installed. On the second visit, we discovered that the shower mix valve failed. It was OK with them that I ran out to fetch the part vs. having to purchase one off the truck, which was a huge savings. You are buying peace of mind so what's it worth to you. We replaced a failing pressure valve that was at least 10 or more years old. It was $300 to replace and yes, I bought the one off the truck to save time. So do the math - ($300 / 10 years /365 days = $.08 a day). For $.08 a day I can sleep well at night for 10 years not worrying about it. That is peace of mind. That is what I bought. That is why I'll be back. P.S. James is awesome read more

Marines Plumbing was at my home the same day I called about a sewer back-up in a line that had been snaked 3 weeks earlier by another company. In scoping Kyle found the break inside my front wall along with several other areas outside that were problems in the making. Unfortunately, this meant breaking through two-thirds of my basement floor including the bathroom and hallway to reach the break. It was immediately obvious that I had made an excellent choice in Marines Plumbing from talking with Kyle to Lloyd and his assistants working inside to locate the pipe and open the trench to CJ and the crew outside uncovering the line leading to the main sewer. Nearly every employee was at my home at some point and each one was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable which led me take their suggestion to have my 12-year-old hot water heater replaced at this time. Shawn and Robert's work was top-notch as the heater and expansion tank both proved to be on their last legs when removed. The company also remodeled/restored the bathroom where Jesse and Tim did an excellent job leveling and installing a new tile floor over the repaired trench, replacing the baseboard, and painting which left the room looking like new. Owner Ray Toz also provided a recommendation for a company to seam and re-stretch the wall-to-wall carpet which was great. While a sewer line break was not on my spring agenda, I could not have had a better company help guide me through everything it involved including the insurance company. read more

We had a leak in our basement and I called several other plumbers in the area but all I got was voicemail. I then went on Yelp and saw Marines Plumbing with its rave reviews. I called and somebody actually answered and she could send somebody out that day. She said she would call back in 30 minutes. Less than 10 minutes later she called back and said she had dispatched somebody and he was en route to our house. Ray came to the house and went right on it. He measured and went through process of elimination quickly. He found the leak came from the pantry upstairs and replaced the pipe that was apparently punctured from nails coming from the power outlet on the other side of the wall. Though I am sad that we had to rip a lot of drywall. I am happy that the issue was found quickly and the response time was amazing. Ray was very courteous and great to work with. I will not hesitate to use Marines Plumbing in the future. P.S. I received a hand-written thank you postcard in the mail for the business. Who does that anymore? Absolutely AWESOME. We recently contacted Marines Plumbing to check out our Water Heater. Our H2O heater had started running out of hot water quickly. Marines plumbing was extremely professional from the initial contact throughout until the work was completed. Our technician, Matt, was very courteous and professional. He called to ensure we would be home prior to heading out. He then diagnosed the problem to be a slow leak and recommended a replacement H2O heater. The diagnosis fee was very reasonable, only $30. There was no pressure to follow through on the work, but we did it b/c it was the right thing to do. The following day, Matt came back out with another tech and replaced the water heater. They were very flexible with the scheduling and did the work quickly. They are real experts. After the work was done, we felt that the H2O pressure was a little low. I had intended to call Marines plumbing back to discuss it, but Matt called back as a follow-up call before we even called them. I discussed it with Matt, and he asked for a good time to come back out FOR FREE and adjust. We scheduled the follow up visit easily, and Matt came back out to make an adjustment. I had a very pleasant experience working with Marines Plumbing. The biggest things I want to highlight are communication, up front pricing, and options. They sent me a confirmation email of my appointment and texted me a picture and bio of the technician who would be coming to service our home which I thought was great. They called me when we was in route and the technician was very thorough in explaining what he was doing and the steps he was taking. The pricing was straight forward and clearly explained before he did anything. There's nothing worse than having no idea what charges are on a bill and the technician made sure to explain everything before he did it. Lastly, the tech provided me with options moving forward. He wasn't worried about what would make the most profit, but rather what was best for me, the customer. Rather than making a few quick bucks, he provided me with a less expensive alternative. I had Marines Plumbing come out to replace an old water heater. Kyle came out to give me an estimate. We have two dogs and they were barking up a storm but Kyle is a dog owner himself and was kind enough to calm the dogs down and pet them. Kyle was very polite and professional. I had four other estimates and Marines Plumbing have very competitive prices and they also have a two year labor warranty, while other companies offer one year. Kyle noticed that my pressure valve looked old and tested the pressure of my water for free. After everything was complete, I decided on the spot to go with Marine plumbing. The work order was put in to have Sean come to get the install done on the same week. Sean gave me a call before he was on his way and actually came in 30mins early. He respected my house by laying down canvas covers to keep our carpet clean. Sean completed the job within two hours. After the job was complete he was kind enough to answer any questions I had and also went over how to maintain the water heater. I would recommend Marines Plumbing to anyone. Our water heater pilot light went out last Thursday. We were able to get it lit on Friday, but it went out again, and we couldn't get it re-lit. Called our regular fix-it guy, and given the advanced age of the old unit, he recommended a new water heater. Not knowing much better, I bought a water heater from Home Depot, then came time for the installation. Got a couple of quotes from Thumbtack, but as it turns out, neither guy could actually do what he said. So today I went online, found Marines Plumbing through Yelp, they could have an installer pick up the unit from Home Depot and install it today. James was extraordinarily nice, and extremely competent on a difficult job, due to the location of our water heater. He was able to re-use a significant number of components, while re-routing gas lines to fit the new unit (which is a little taller. He took time to explain the issues, their pricing, the County permit process, etc. When you are dealing with gas appliances, (and with piped water, now that I think about it) it's important to have confidence the job is done right. From scheduling to have someone come give a quote to having the work complete, I couldn't ask for a better experience. I called on Thursday and made an appointment for the next Monday morning between 8 - 10. Shawn showed up at 8:30 Monday morning, listened to my concerns and checked out the problem. He was honest and seemed knowledgeable. He suggested we start by trying to eliminate the issue with smaller fixes before suggesting more extreme measures, such as opening our ceiling to assess the plumbing (which is what the last plumber suggested). Our tub and toilet was making a gurgling noise when the ejector pump in our basement was triggered. Shawn identified that we didn't have a check valve, but also took time to determine if there were other issues that may have resulted in a possible venting issue with our plumbing. We decided to have Shawn install the check valve. He ran out and picked up the necessary parts and completed the work all before 10:30 AM. He left the workspace clean. I live in an older house (1941) so plumbing projects are always a challenge -- no job, no matter how simple, is ever what it seems! My 14 year old water heater sprang a leak and after reading the reviews on these guys and the way the owner responded, I decided to give them a try. Boy am I glad I did! Dan was professional and courteous all the way and is a perfectionist! His original estimate seemed high so he took the time to talk me through it. The water heater replacement went really smoothly and it is a high quality unit with a nice warranty. Then I asked to replace the wax seal under the (original) toilet in the master bathroom. Bingo -- that turned out to be the challenge! The new phlanges don't fit the old toilets. Rather than quit or use poorly fitting parts, Dan was willing to come up with a clever solution that required him to come back this morning to finish the job. Success! Job well done. I had requested a quote to replace several valves in the house with ball valves, and to replace 3 toilets. The quote was comparable to other quotes we had received for the work, then because I am retired military they provided an additional discount. "Big Dan" Phillips arrived to do the work. He turned off the water outside the house and proceeded to drain all the lines. While that was going on, he flushed the 3 toilets and put some powder into them that turned any remaining water into gel. He removed the old toilets, installed 3 new 1.3g flush units, replaced the main water valve, and the valves for the front yard and back yard hose lines. He did this by himself in under 3 hours. He was professional and courteous during the work, constantly calling me "sir" (I understand old habits die hard, as I do the same thing to others), telling me what was going on as he was doing the work. The bathrooms and basement are cleaner NOW then they were before he started working. I would not hesitate to contact them for future plumbing work in the house. read more

Honestly these guys have been and will always remain my go to plumbing service. Since the first time we used them in 2015 they have been nothing but professional and always getting the job done! We came back from being away for a few days to find out hot water not working and the tank leaking water from the gas intake. I called them at almost 11pm and they were able to get me scheduled for the next day! That is one of the greatest things about them, i can call them any time and get on their schedule! Shawn Rose came out the next day and quickly assessed the situation to realize that the previous home owner had self installed the tank and it finally kicked the bucket. He was extremely professional and quoted us a great price for a new tank, fixing the pipes and bringing it up to code. Within 45 minutes he had gone out to get the new equipment and had it fixed and ready to go within 3 hours! So i went from no water after vacation, to a call from Shawn Rose at 11am the next day and hot water by 3pm!!! Thank you guys so much for such great work! read more

We needed someone to reseat a toilet that had a leak at the base when the toilet was flushed. Because the toilet sits on a hardwood floor, I wanted whoever did the job to assess the condition of the floor and subfloor and let me know whether there were any structural concerns. Several other plumbers I called were unwilling to do an assessment, even though I assured them that I was just interested in their professional opinion and had no intention of holding them responsible for any future repairs. Ray called and told me exactly what they would do to assess the situation and the various repairs that might be required depending on what they found. Don showed up, quickly determined that the problem was minor and made the repairs quickly. A couple of things made this a great experience: 1) Don explained very clearly what the problem was and had the exact product to make a complete repair and 2) he didn't try to gouge me by claiming the problem was worse than it was. Trevor with Marines Plumbing is the best! When my garbage disposal went out a few weeks ago, I came to Yelp to find someone to replace it. Marines Plumbing had great reviews, so I sent a message. I got a phone call within an hour and had an appointment set that was convenient for me. When Trevor arrived, he assessed the problem, gave me an estimate and had a new disposal installed within an hour. He was personable and friendly. He worked quickly and efficiently and still carried on a conversation. He's such a nice guy. Before he left, he asked about any other issues that we may need looked at. We had a cracked toilet, so he looked at it, gave me an estimate and gave me advice an what the next steps would be. I called back 2 weeks later and Trevor came back to install our new toilet. He came on time, in the snow, with a smile and had our new toilet in and our old toilet out in about an hour. Superior work from an incredible company. this is the 5th or 6th plumbing service we had had come out to our house in the last 4 years. i saw all the great reviews for marines and i decided to give them a call. they were great on the call, sending out eric to us on monday to give an estimate to replace some antique pipes from who knows when. he also unclogged our kitchen and bathroom sinks until we can schedule a day for them to come out and replace the pipes. eric called, letting us know he was on his way. he was professional, nice, quick, and above all clean. he left the areas where he worked clean and i am so thankful for that as previous plumbers have left dirty boot prints and handprints that i had to clean up. i felt comfortable with him in the house. he wrote up the estimate for the pipe replacement and it seems fair. my only regret is that he will not be the one doing the pipe replacement. i would use marines again and definitely recommend them to anyone who needed plumbing help. it is a shame that it took so many years for us to find them! read more

Tyson came out and quickly determined the leak was not coming from the joint but rather from somewhere above. So now there was a mystery leak hidden behind the walls somewhere between the third floor and the basement. He suspected the pipe to be behind and certain section of wall on the middle floor and thought maybe a nail could be the culprit and checked to see if we had anything nailed to the wall, we didn't. So he had to pick a section of wall to cut behind to check and on his first try found the pipe and showed me exactly where the previous owner put a nail through the toilet drain pipe. I was originally concerned we'd have to open many walls and ceilings to find it and I'm still wondering how he found it so quickly. He also answered a ton of my questions.
