I had this drainage system installed just last fall, so the idea that it could already be clogged seemed impossible. Enter A+ Gutters & Drains. They came out the very same day I called. After I walked them through my highly sophisticated theory of grades, elevations, pitch, and drainage design, we headed to the discharge point at the street ditch. The technician took one look and smiled. "There really shouldn't be a glued-on end cap with a tight grill on it. These tend to back up and clog." "No way. Not already," I replied. "Would you like me to check?" he asked. A few minutes later, after attempting to pry it off with a screwdriver, the cap ultimately had to be cut off with a Sawzall. What was waiting inside? As this expense was outside our budget, his recommendation was to call back in a few years when I had enough money saved to pay for it!!! An immediate fix was needed... he reluctantly agreed to provide an estimate to relieve the affected gutter by adding a new downspout in a different location to connect with the underground drain line where it was flowing properly. I contacted two other gutter & drain companies and amazingly their first advice was to do the latter (add a downspout)... and both quotes came in less than half the cost I was quoted from A+ Gutters & Drains. Ace discovered that the prior roofer(2017) had failed to seal a gap between the shingles and the edge of the chimney. The roof that was replaced was two layers, and when it was replaced with one layer, that left an inch or so gap between the shingles and and chimney, which they failed to seal and also failed to install proper flashing so that water would drain away from the chimney. Ace repaired the issue and their price was very reasonable. Recently, I noticed paint cracking and dampness in a ceiling. I called the company that installed the roof-as it is nearing the end of the warranty. They sent someone who said he saw nothing wrong, and claimed they might need better ventilation. He said someone would call. No one did. I called Ace, he went up and saw the source of the problem, a bullet hole-likely there from someone's errant New Year's celebration. He fixed the issue within 15 minutes. Ace is responsive, and most important, he acts with integrity and his assessments are credible. Irrespective of 'warranties,' I trust him and will always call him first.

Plain and simple, it's a gamble that you'll get what you paid for, but at this price, I had bigger gutters/downspouts and leaf guards added for less than other companies wanted for just a leaf guard. The next step was when they called back to tell us when we would see the crew arrive. Terry was very nice and got us a date when we would not have kids in the house. I called again today and was told an estimator would need to come out first to look at the leak THEN it's 6 to 8 weeks for repair yet they advertise otherwise.
