But is the company reputable? And do you really want to go with a relatively new company even if is owned by your buddy. He decided, no. Newman is competitive with hundreds of 5 star reviews. He went with Newman. Subsequently we had a hail storm and neighbors were advising us to get our roof checked out. Our roof was 20 years old. I wanted to be honest with the insurance company and not submit a claim unless Tyler from Newman,who came out to give us an estimate, was sure we needed a new roof and we suffered damage beyond normal wear and tear. Plus we had 2 houses. Well one needed a new roof and the other one likely has another couple of years left. As an aside, if you turn in a claim to your insurance company, even if it is denied, you risk higher premiums or cancelation. That is why it is important to have Newman Roofing spend time assessing. In our case, our roof was more wear and tear with minimal hail. Dan and his guys were on time, even early. Weather has consistently been in the mid 90's. I was worried. But Newman keeps them well supplied with hydration. 14 man crew meant lots of vehicles, even a dump truck but they were minimally disruptive to our neighbors. Furniture moved, netting put up to minimize construction mess on house and garden areas. And then they went to work. All I can say is WOW. I am so pleased. When they were finished, the cleaned up all the mess, including using a magnetized thing for nails in driveway, patio and grass. The yard, the patio, the driveway, the porches are SPOTLESS. I highly highly highly recommend Newman Roofing. They did my kid's. They did this roof and in 2 years they will do our other roof. Price is good too.

She got me set for an appointment the next week to fit my busy schedule. Chris was on time and we got down to business. He met with us and answered all our questions about the process. He took pictures, got it submitted to the system that spit out a detailed list of what we needed. Pretty cool. We signed up right away when we saw the price and everything they were going to do. The next step was when they called back to tell us when we would see the crew arrive. Terry was very nice and got us a date when we would not have kids in the house. We got the yard cleaned up so everything was out of the way and would not get damaged by the debris. And there was LOTS of it. But when they left you could not tell there was debris everywhere. Nice clean up job! Be a good human and give them access to a bathroom and get them Gatorade to keep them hydrated. Great job all the way around.

Few weeks ago, a contractor from Able Roof & Exteriors came to my condo unit on behalf of the HOA…read moreto perform what should have been a minor repair to the front entry door jamb. The damage was limited to the bottom portion (less than 3"), which could have been addressed with wood filler or by replacing it with a properly sized jamb section. Initially, I was contacted by phone by "Jacke" from Able Roofing & Exteriors and later by email from "Brian Rheinscheld" (listed as Director of Construction) to schedule the repair. After the contractor completed the work, I later inspected it and found the repair to be a makeshift solution that turned a small issue into a larger one. Instead of using a proper door jamb component with the correct dimensions and features (such as the groove for weatherstripping), the contractor assembled a patch using mismatched pieces of lumber - in a nutshell, the contractor concocted a disparage makeshift out of lumber in order to replace the lower portion of my door jamb. The result is not a proper door jamb and lacks the necessary features and fit. The repair is clearly inadequate, improper and disfiguring (see attached photos) and has created a bigger problem than the original damage. I contacted Able Roofing & Exteriors by phone and email, including reaching out to Brian Rheinscheld, to report the issue and request a resolution. I received no response; in other words, it was completely ignored. Based on this experience, one cannot consider this a reputable, respectable and reliable company. Proceed with any repair, project or construction work involving this company at your own risk and peril.

A representative came out to give us a quote for a new roof. He gave my husband a form, telling my…read morehusband that the form was permission to go on the roof. My husband read the form as he been a lawyer for over 40 years. Turns out the form was a contract giving the company the ok to install a new roof! The guy didnt even go up - because he couldn't present the proper form and said he would have a drone look at the roof. This representative was not knowledgeable nor prepared. Needless to say, this company will never have our business.

Buyer Beware: Our Disheartening Experience with Feazel Roofing…read more We're sharing our story in hopes of helping others make a more informed decision before choosing Feazel Roofing. For years, we trusted and recommended Feazel. That trust has now been broken. You never truly know how reliable a company is until you need them to stand behind their work--and unfortunately, Feazel did not. After a recent storm brought high winds and heavy rain, we discovered water dripping from our bathroom ceiling fan and a soaked floor. Given our age and health, we couldn't safely inspect the roof ourselves, so we called Feazel--the company that installed our roof in 2009. With a 30-year warranty, we assumed we were protected. Instead of honoring that warranty, their representative blamed us. They claimed our attic fan had failed, supposedly causing poor ventilation and roof damage. But how were we supposed to know the fan had stopped working? And how did they determine it had been nonfunctional for a long time? We have perimeter ventilation, which we were told was sufficient. If attic ventilation was so critical, why wasn't it addressed during installation? They also pointed out a broken boot around a pipe that left a gaping hole--yet they didn't seal it, despite rain in the forecast. Another roofing company we called later sealed it immediately, even though they weren't responsible for the original work. We've since learned that Feazel Roofing has changed ownership. The new company promotes a "lifetime warranty" and installs solar attic fans to ensure proper ventilation--something clearly lacking in our original installation. Why wasn't this done back then? We had no issues in the 25 years before Feazel replaced our roof. Now, just 16 years later, we're dealing with serious problems. To make matters worse, we were shocked to discover that our paperwork only included a 5-year labor warranty. We trusted what we were told at the time--lesson learned: always read the fine print. If Feazel truly stands by their name, why not honor all customers under their "lifetime warranty"? Otherwise, they should have changed the company name entirely. The most frustrating part has been the lack of communication. Calls go unanswered, and we feel strung along. Even our son, who stepped in to help, is getting the runaround. Feazel told us to file a claim with the shingle manufacturer--why is that our responsibility? We're retired and on a fixed income. We invested in this roof expecting peace of mind. Instead, we're left with stress, damage, and a deep sense of betrayal. It feels like Feazel is more interested in avoiding responsibility than doing what's right. Please think twice before choosing Feazel Roofing. A warranty is only as good as the company willing to stand behind it.
