I had an energy audit conducted this weekend by Greene Solutions. Tom Greene came out to complete my audit. He was friendly and respectful of my home. Before he started we chatted briefly about what my goals were and why I was interested in the audit. We came up with three goals and went from there. He tested the air quality of my home and did a blower door test. We found some surprising areas that was losing heat and were inefficient. He was helpful in ideas for quick home fixes to making a list of problem areas to focus on. I was pleased with the whole experience. I wouldn't have realized energy audits were a thing until I spoke with a co-worker who recently had one conducted. I am glad I got one done on my home. Amazing experience and awesome family owned company! We had an audit where Thomas came out to inspect everything. He was very friendly and was great at explaining everything and even let us use thermogun that detects where heat was leaking out of the house so we could see for ourselves and actually made it fun! We determined we needed better insulation in our attic and he set us up for an appointment a couple of months away (understandable since its winter and they're busy) but said if something came available they would call and see if we wanted an earlier appointment, which they did! They ended up coming out only a couple of weeks after the audit! The guys that came our to the house (pete, Tyler, Dawson, and Eric) were very friendly especially with my 2 year old and we talked about our kids. They did an amazing job and were in and our quickly and were very professional. I even overheard one of the guys saying make sure the tube didnt hit our walls which I thought was very considerate! From the estimate to the installation, our experience with Greene Solutions was fantastic. They were thorough when they came to provide the estimate and provided us with a variety of options, explaining why we might want to choose various components of the work. They were also patient with us and our many questions. They really seemed interested in helping us choose what was best for us and for our house. Their communication was also excellent. After sending the estimate they followed up to see if we had any questions, and once we contracted with them they kept in contact to make sure that things went smoothly on the day of our scheduled work. When they arrived, everyone was unfailing polite and professional. They were respectful and cleaned up after themselves, leaving our house as clean and put together as it was before they arrived. They also made sure to check in with us at various stages of the install, showing us their progress. It was nice to see what was going on and allowed us to confirm that they were doing great work. Absolute professionals! Had blown-in insulation put in my garage attics spaces and in the walls. Thomas conducted the assessment and provided a detailed quote. Kudos to Tyler, Pearse, Owen, and Jason, who all worked efficiently and completed the job with high quality results! Holes on the wall patched up perfectly and the final cleaning was very thorough. Tyler even secured some live wiring he found in one of the attic spaces. My garage will now be usable all year long for vehicle work, small projects, and my home gym. I remember when I was in 3rd grade, Mrs. White had a group of 10th graders come into class to prepare us for high school. I can recall looking at them and thinking "Man, I can't wait to grow up!" Fast forward several years, and here I am adulting like a boss. One thing that we adults who elect homeownership to be part of our resume must do is insulate our homes. Now for me, this was a challenge because I didn't grow up in a home that had a pitch roof, so attic insulation is a foreign concept. However, the cold breeze whipping through my house was very real and I knew I had to do something about it. This is where Greene Solutions came into place for me, and they completely blew me away (haha puns are fun). I must confess that my journey to find an insulation company was a frustrating one. I started with the more well known companies, and to be honest, I felt like they didn't take me seriously. In fact, one wanted to charge me for the estimate and then cancelled the same day of the appointment. Another gave me a quote without seeing my house or knowing the square footage. Suffice to say, I was more than frustrated on my quest to find a competent, fair company with integrity to complete this job. Greene Solutions was everything I needed them to be and more. Nancy, the energy auditor, completed my estimate and was simply wonderful. She is a wealth of knowledge and helped me to understand why it's important to properly insulate my home. She is a Go Green Nerd like me and looks for ways to reduce her carbon footprint. Nancy did a throughall inspection of my home and gave me a to-do list of things I could do to be more energy efficient. She also talked to me about things I could do to reduce my electrical bill which I greatly appreciated. Owen and Jason were the insulation installers and I tell ya, there were amazing too! Very polite, courteous and professional. Also, they were very quiet and cleaned after themselves. When Jason started sweeping and picking up little bits of lint on the stairs (which I'm pretty sure were mine) I almost swooned! I LOVED that they took before and after pictures of the work, and used a ruler to show me that my insulation was exactly where I needed it to be. Great experience! We contacted Greene solutions to look into the heat loss we were experiencing in our house built in ~1920. They suggested insulation under the crawl space and attic areas to begin to mitigate the problem. We knew there had been some serious settling due to cracking in the interior walls. The end result was vapor barrier in the crawl space and insulated the band joists and attics. They rebuilt the interior walls and floors. They also installed 2.5 bathrooms, refaced 2 fireplaces (including the original 1920 fireplace) crown molding, new ductwork, plumbing &electrical. They did an amazing job and worked closely with us throughout the project. Tyler, Kenny and crew were there everyday, and completed on time. highly recommend! read more

I was referred to Greene Solutions by a different insulation company who believed they could help me with my issue. I had the pleasure of getting my free estimate from the owner himself, Thomas Greene. He was so nice and very knowledgeable. I had a wet spot on the ceiling in my living room. It was determined that the air duct had condensation on it and was dripping on my ceiling causing the wet spot. Thomas helped by showing me that the high humidity we have been experiencing contributed to the problem. The AC was causing the air duct to be cold while the heat/humidity was causing the problem. Thomas gave me some "homework" to try to see if that corrected the problem. He said spray foam in my ceiling was not the answer, that the air duct would have to be insulated if the problem continued. Thankfully, my homework assignment worked and my air duct is no longer producing condensation . I highly recommend Greene Solutions as they're not out to just take your money. If they can just advise you on what to do they will, at no cost to you. Thomas said we would have to cut a sizable hole in our ceiling to insulate the air duct. The problem with that is we would then have to have our ceiling repaired and since we have the "flower" pattern it's not easy to repair. Now all I have to do is have the golf ball sized hole repaired as my condensation issue fixed itself. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing the services they provide. read more

This place is legit. From the initial energy audit by Tom, to the actual insulation installation by Tyler, Pete, Dawson, and Eric....I couldn't be happier. This isn't just a fly by night operation. They could've just blew insulation and been done, but they saw the other inadequacies in my attic and showed me all the things needed and allowed me to decide what to do. We had been told that the insulation in our attic was insufficient. (8 year old house) We wanted a second opinion and had Greene come out. I had a wonderful experience with these guys. We had mice coming into our attic and were getting into the house through the walls. The guys cleaned up all the old insulation in the attic and sealed up all the entry's from the attic to the walls of the house with foam insulation and then put new insulation in the attic. They put protective covering on everything and cleaned up after they were done. They even took pictures of things that they found after cleaning out the old insulation including 2 vents that had been unconnected (which they connected back for us without us even asking). A few months later, I found some insulation in a small space we have behind a closet and they even came back to clean that up and seal things up some more. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I have had some bad experiences with companies who do a horrible job and charge extra for everything. These guys are one of the few that still have integrity and provide great quality. read more

We had Greene Solutions encapsulate our less than inviting crawl space. We are fortunate that we have a generous clearance in the space that makes it desirable to store items in there. The down side was that it was dark and dank with the black visqueen that the builder had laid out. After we prepped the crawl space by spreading additional stone (something they offered to do for an additional $300), they laid out a lovely bright white reinforced liner and sealed it up our walls. We had a remnant piece of carpeting that the guys laid down in the space. Our crawl space is no longer creepy and gross. We can now store our additional items in the crawl space, Admittedly, the liner does not remove the need for a dehumidifier, but I am confident any item we put in the space will stay clean. The guys worked quickly and cleanly-and I appreciate that. They were always courteous as well. The price was reasonable. read more

They were a great company to work with and I would hire them again. Nancy was great to work with when she did a complete home energy audit. She found that I had some problems with the insulation in my crawlspace, laundry room, and attic that were contributing to high moisture in the house and mold growing in some of the living areas of the house. She called the owner of the company and was able to get my an appointment within a week to have the problems fixed as I had some health problems with coughing and asthma which were being aggravated by the high moisture and mold in my home. Duck and his coworker arrived from Greene Solutions and did a wonderful job fixing my problems and cleaning up afterwards. My crawlspace looks great now and will not have all the moisture that it did before. Nancy arrived as they were completing their work and did another blower test that showed a substantial improvement in reducing the amount of leakage that I had from my home. read more
