They have replace my builder grade AC unit with a fantastic heat pump to have very efficient heat and AC. We have a natural gas furnace so this gives us a "duel fuel" system so we can pick whatever energy price is cheaper. We also had them replace our builder grade gas furnace which was starting to develop a crack in the heat exchanger. They are very friendly, courteous, trustworthy, no high pressure sales tactics, good prices PLUS they are a small business company (which is what I prefer to deal with). I would rate them a A++++ and gladly recommend them!

I ignorantly left a misguided positive review for Don's Home Improvement five months ago. Don…read moreBellehumeur had installed a pre hung exterior door that I purchased from Menards. During the installation, he bragged about how door installation was his forte. When he left, I thought all was well and he asked me to leave a review. A few months later I had a football game party and a couple of guys noted the extremely shoddy workmanship of the installation of the door. I felt really duped by Don Bellehumeur. One of the guys even found where he screwed up and instead of correcting it, he went ahead and proceeded to deceive me. I contacted Menards because that is where I purchased the door and that is where I was given Don's contact information. Menards asked for photos of the poorly installed door and they then met with Don to see if they could come up with some sort of resolution. The Menards store manager then contacted me and told me Don refused to do the right thing and re install the door. To Menards credit, they did tell me they will never do business with "Don's Home Improvement" again and will never recommend him to another customer. I now have to have the door reinstalled all at my expense. In the meantime and until the weather improves, I have a door through which you can see daylight and on which the deadbolt is not properly aligned, raising safety concerns. Run, don't walk, away fron this guy. He's got a real line of bull. And to all those females out there and not so handy men, beware of these types of contractors who will take advantage of anyone that doesn't know the difference between a reputable contractor and a shyster like Don Bellehumeur. I've had numerous maintenance issues including not even having access to heat until 6 weeks after I put in the first request in October. Management constantly blows off complaints or will outright deny issues. I had to email the corporate office in Texas just to get maintenance to look at my thermostat. the maintenance team didn't even verify the issue was resolved until I sent a 6th complaint in the portal. the emergency line just goes to the front office and only works sometimes. not worth your money.
