Needed a couple of items fixed- roof vent and disposal. Not urgent, and it ended up taking a month or so for them to get the jobs actually done, due to scheduling and weather, which was fine. I'm sure if I'd said it was urgent they'd have tried to come sooner. They came out a week or so after I called to check things out and give me a quote. That guy, Matt, and the later handyman were friendly and efficient. Then another few weeks till they came out. I got the disposal and they installed it, plus added a plug under the sink and fixed the wall switch. Took an hour or so. This is the only handyman our dogs haven't barked at when they got here, and never did. He said he has dogs, but sometimes ours go nuts no matter what, on just hearing or smelling a stranger. The roof took maybe half an hour. Again, professional and efficient. Prices seem a little high to me, but it's been awhile since I hired anyone so this may be the new normal. And I used to be able to do some of this stuff but can't now, so, I have to pay someone sometimes. Worth it to have it taken care of. read more

Matt's crew was phenomenal. They rebuilt our stairs and opened up our upstairs ceiling adding insulation and drywall while leaving the beams exposed. And also did the drywall in our living room (cutting and seamlessly patching between the rafters). They cleaned up after everyday and were good trustworthy guys. Great but, I ordered this as my old belt which was a standard around the waist belt wasn't very comfortable and would pull on my trouser etc. This evenly distributes the weight over your shoulders making in very comfortable, the only problem I have is when going through tight scaffold entrances it gets caught but not a big problem. Most belts your lucky to hold half the tools your using but with this it fits most things with ease. read more

Background: My mother in law had carpenter ants and the exterior of her house needed some work. She also had a backyard deck that was falling apart. Everything about our experience with Mr. Toolbelt was fantastic. My wife and I moved to Columbus back in late October, and with a baby due in early February, it was a race against the clock to get all of the necessary housework done that we wanted (which was a lot). We were looking to completely re-do our master bathroom, do some touch-up work on our other two bathrooms, and then do some general work around the whole house (replacing doors, painting, removing a metal awning outside, etc). Working with Matt, the owner of his company, as well as his crew (his son Devon, his nephew Shane, and their friend Eric) was very easy, as well. Matt was always very easily accessible by e-mail or phone, and they were very flexible in allowing us to add several requests to the initial estimate. During the process, they were very communicative with us about pre-existing issues, and if there was anything we were unhappy with (for example, the caulk in the corners of the master bathroom shower was originally too dark), they would fix it for us without hesitation. In the end, we were incredibly happy with how everything came out. The house looks a million times better. We would recommend these guys to anyone, and will almost definitely use them for future work. Oh, and major props to them for being able to carry a 300-pound vanity from the garage up a pretty narrow staircase to our master bathroom without a single scratch anywhere. read more
