Timely responses and great service. Mr Tool Belt replaced rotting wood trim - recommending vinyl replacement for longer wear and no maintenance which no other handyman did. They also replaced a door. Some other contractors considered our project too small. Their estimate was competitive with others we received. We would highly recommend for timely, quality work on any of your home improvement needs. read more

Needed a couple of items fixed- roof vent and disposal. Not urgent, and it ended up taking a month or so for them to get the jobs actually done, due to scheduling and weather, which was fine. I'm sure if I'd said it was urgent they'd have tried to come sooner. They came out a week or so after I called to check things out and give me a quote. That guy, Matt, and the later handyman were friendly and efficient. Then another few weeks till they came out. I got the disposal and they installed it, plus added a plug under the sink and fixed the wall switch. Took an hour or so. This is the only handyman our dogs haven't barked at when they got here, and never did. He said he has dogs, but sometimes ours go nuts no matter what, on just hearing or smelling a stranger. The roof took maybe half an hour. Again, professional and efficient. Prices seem a little high to me, but it's been awhile since I hired anyone so this may be the new normal. And I used to be able to do some of this stuff but can't now, so, I have to pay someone sometimes. Worth it to have it taken care of. read more

Prompt and quick. He went to work immediately and provided additional information on chair repair. I would highly recommend him!

Matt's crew was phenomenal. They rebuilt our stairs and opened up our upstairs ceiling adding insulation and drywall while leaving the beams exposed. And also did the drywall in our living room (cutting and seamlessly patching between the rafters). They cleaned up after everyday and were good trustworthy guys. Pleasure to work with and would definitely (and am going too) hire them again. Matt, the owner of the business communicates very well and is a very good guy as well. Thanks again Matt! read more

The task we envisioned got completed unexpectedly, so we didn't get to employ Mr. Tool Belt this time. But the service is now available to us for any needs in the future. Thanks, Matt, for your patience and quick response. read more

Great but, I ordered this as my old belt which was a standard around the waist belt wasn't very comfortable and would pull on my trouser etc. This evenly distributes the weight over your shoulders making in very comfortable, the only problem I have is when going through tight scaffold entrances it gets caught but not a big problem. Most belts your lucky to hold half the tools your using but with this it fits most things with ease. read more

Did a great job replacing an ancient range hood and vent duct work, which included dealing with some unexpected complications. Very responsive from the beginning. Price was a bit higher than average but quality, no cut-corners work. Would definitely hire again. read more

Matt responded within 10 minutes, and was very agreeable to working out a time to come. He made 3 different repairs in an hour, & I felt that the charge was reasonable. Matt seemed very knowledgeable, and he was clean & very pleasant. Really nice guy! read more

Background: My mother in law had carpenter ants and the exterior of her house needed some work. She also had a backyard deck that was falling apart. I contacted 3 different companies and SCOTT from Mr.Toolbelt responded to me within a day while another company took a couple of days and the 3rd company failed to even respond back. Scott was absolutely amazing to work with. His first visit (which was a free estimate) lasted 2 hours and he gave me a multi-page write up of everything that he thought needed fixing. He told me exactly what type of work will be done along with a detailed breakdown of the costs. The second company we contacted visited our house for 15 minutes and wrote a one sentence comment on what they thought. It was obvious that Scott/Mr.Toolbelt was the right person for the job. Scott was very prompt with starting the project and they finished quickly. He visited the house many times to make sure all the work being done was up to his high standards. I thought the pricing was very fair and I never felt pressured into anything. Scott was very transparent and honest with the project on the house. We were very happy with the final results of the house. I will definitely be using them again for any future work. read more

Requested a quote on a Sunday afternoon, was called the same day to discuss the project. Tuesday Matt had a crew resolving my need to widen the steps on my porch. Crew was very professional and cleaned everything up after the job was completed. Highly recommend and would use again. read more

He came out to give an estimate and said he would get back with us. We never received an estimate or ever heard from them again. We waited for several weeks and heard nothing. It would have been helpful if they would have said that the job was not suited to their company. Not a way to do business. read more

Great company! Thanks to Matt, Devin, and Shane for their hard work. Our fraternity had extensive water damage due to holes in our rubber roof causing one of our rooms to cave in. They repaired the roof, insulation, drywall, painted, and replaced our light fixture. You can't even tell there was any damage previously! It looks great. They were all extremely friendly and gave me progression pictures without me asking. They even cleaned up after they were done. Thanks so much! Highly recommended! read more

They helped me in a pinch during Covid when I needed a quick estimate to get into insurance before claim ran out. They were willing to come at a later time to do work fir us on this claim since timing was not good to get work done then. read more

Matt is the owner! They work exactly as the name of the company. Excellent work! Fast, on time and everything so perfect! They work late and answer your phone calls quickly or get back to you right away. His employee, Rodge, was the one who came and fixed kitchen disposal n added light fixture onto a ceiling fan! No mess afterwards and you get very clear cut prices. The owner is easy to work with and so the employee! Very professional! My dad is going to rent his house n I think, we just found our handyman! Thanks guys - you are the best! read more

I had a small roof repair that needed done. Matt was awesome in responding to what i needed. His workers came out and got the job done and did a great looking job. They were very thorough in removing all the shingles that needed replaced and even explained what had happened and why and the process for their repair. They were great. It was very reasonably priced too. I appreciate their work. Thanks! read more

Everything about our experience with Mr. Toolbelt was fantastic. My wife and I moved to Columbus back in late October, and with a baby due in early February, it was a race against the clock to get all of the necessary housework done that we wanted (which was a lot). We were looking to completely re-do our master bathroom, do some touch-up work on our other two bathrooms, and then do some general work around the whole house (replacing doors, painting, removing a metal awning outside, etc). Working with Matt, the owner of his company, as well as his crew (his son Devon, his nephew Shane, and their friend Eric) was very easy, as well. Matt was always very easily accessible by e-mail or phone, and they were very flexible in allowing us to add several requests to the initial estimate. During the process, they were very communicative with us about pre-existing issues, and if there was anything we were unhappy with (for example, the caulk in the corners of the master bathroom shower was originally too dark), they would fix it for us without hesitation. In the end, we were incredibly happy with how everything came out. The house looks a million times better. We would recommend these guys to anyone, and will almost definitely use them for future work. Oh, and major props to them for being able to carry a 300-pound vanity from the garage up a pretty narrow staircase to our master bathroom without a single scratch anywhere. read more

We had a window not shutting properly and needed it fixed quickly. We saw the positive reviews and decided to give this company a try. I called and spoke with an actual person. Chuck came out. He was professional and personable. He worked like lightning and before i knew it the window was fixed! I especially appreciated the fact that even though they were busy, they got out here quickly to help us. Price was right too. We will definitely be repeat customers. read more

I found Mr. Tool Belt on Yelp and decided to give them a try. I needed several repairs done around the house...bathrooms, front door, kitchen. I spoke to Matt the owner. He was very accessible and professional and returned calls quickly. He scheduled Rodge to come over to take care of the repairs. He was wonderful! He did an excellent job on everything. No matter what room it was or what the problem was he was able to fix everything easily. I would highly recommend Mr. Tool Belt to anyone looking for knowledgeable, professional repairmen with reasonable prices. read more

After looking at many options, I was referred to Matt "mr tool belt" and I was very pleased with his quote, responsiveness and quality of work. He is a down to earth guy who has your best interest in mind, he listened and helped us choose what was in budget and looks great. Actually, I take that back we were under budget. He was a fraction of the cost with ever bit of quality we expected, if not more quality than we expected. I will certainly use him again for house repairs and upgrades. It is not often you get more than you expect for less than you expected to pay, it was a huge win for us, we got the bathroom we wanted and a handyman for our next project that we can trust and count on to do it right!!!! read more
