And then we discover that the main water shut off OUTSIDE is messed up. I worked with Brandon who helped me figure out the steps I needed to do - 1. I needed to call the city and shut off the water. As no one was living in the house, I was cool with having the city come out and do it whenever (which lead to them redoing the water shut off as well - props to the City of Columbus Utilities!) 2. Once I had the water shut off (or scheduled) work with them to get on the schedule - I sent him photos of the issues at hand for an estimate to replace the main shut off AND ALSO the hot/water valves to the washing machine (that also decided to start leaking). Once the water was shut off, Brandon came in, did all the work (in a VERY cramped space - it's one of those old concrete water heaters). City came back, turned it on outside, came inside to review his work - and there was a leak in the cold water shut off - something that, you know, is kind of hard to test when the water is off. A quick call to the business and they had another guy out there to address the leak - and DONE! It took some time - I didn't push (aside from the day of - they have a four hour arrival window) aside from when it got close to the end of the four fours, and it seems EVERY plumber/plumber adjacent person I've talked to has been slammed recently (yay for them?). I'm glad they took my job. I like having a dedicated plumbing service that does a good job, deals with my irate ass, and has awesome plumbers. I hope to never need them again XD - but if I need a plumber, I know who I'm calling.

After promptly solving one issue he began work on a secondary issue to replace a bathroom sink elbow pipe. Problem was, he had no correct parts on his truck. Issue #2 will be skipped. We were disappointed the proper part weren't loaded on a plumbers truck but again, no tragedy. Rates are competitive for the industry. The plumber to customer attentiveness, and verbal skills were well above average. No creepy weird guy shows up with plumbers butt, just a professional well spoken business man. Kudos guys!

She cleared out the line quickly in less than an hour with no issues. Fast forward a month later and my line got clogged AGAIN! Stressed and confused -- I immediately contacted Jess and she said she could check out the issue the next day. She discovered some clothes got clogged in the line since the hydro-jet appointment and was able to dig it out. Goodness! Horrible luck on my end but grateful Jess saved the day twice! Declined to fix the line when a quote was requested claiming he didn't have a hitch post on his truck to tow an excavator to reconnect it. (Sewer coupling was about 12" below grade) and his truck with the hitch was acting up. Didn't have a recommendation for another service to solve the problem when asked for referral. The plumbers told us that we would need a couple of valves replaced as well. We are two older women who have no clue what that entailed. They talked us into purchasing a Carebear membership as well so that we wouldn't get any more surprises like this in the future.. They had us sign the estimate. The job literally took them around 5 to 10 minutes. The final bill with the carebear membership was over $1000.00. We were in complete shock when they were done in a matter of minutes. We spoke with other plumbers and family members and were told that this company took complete advantage of us. We called the home office and requested an invoice because the plumbers did not give us a written or electronic copy of the invoice for referencing purposes. It took a few days to finally get the invoice. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the customer service agent but they were unwilling to reduce the charge. Fast forward, the company automatically charged us for a new membership this year. I disputed the charge and the credit card company removed the charge. I then called Apex to let them know I would not be paying for the charge because we canceled it the previous year shortly after the original service. They said that they understood and would take it off of the account. About six weeks later I received a credit for the membership. It had been a while so didn't realize that I was credited twice until I received a call from the billing department that I owed that money back to them. They also acted as though I disputed the charge after they refunded the money which caught me off guard. After researching my credit card statement it was the other way around but they tried to act as though I was essentially stealing from the company (not their exact words but it certainly felt that way). They did put the charge back on my credit card which they legally had the right to do. It's just the principle of the matter. Please check other plumbing companies. There is nothing ethical about this company.
