I contacted Professional Gutter & Drain after noticing an elbow on one of my gutters was leaking. The team quickly called me back and explained their pricing, which I feel is fair. They were pretty backed up due to the weather but were at my house within the time quoted which was two to three weeks. The crew arrived as scheduled and were very professional. Not only did they fix the issue I called about, but went above and beyond to make sure everything was in working order. They actually fixed some additional issues and were done within an hour! Was the work completed? No. Did that stop them from filing a lien? Also no. The workers were great - they got in, they did most of the work. But then they missed the higher up gutter and didn't connect it to the lower gutter (something specifically called out on their FIRST VISIT and discussion of work to be done, and a FOLLOW UP EMAIL where they said "yes, we will do that work.") Plain and simple, it's a gamble that you'll get what you paid for, but at this price, I had bigger gutters/downspouts and leaf guards added for less than other companies wanted for just a leaf guard. But the inability to complete the contract and then demand payment when I can't afford a lawyer? Does NOT leave a favorable feeling. read more

They supposedly came out to clear my downspout drains. The first hard rain proved that they did not do the work. They did come back out, but one downspout is still clogged. They also just cut the downspout straps and left the downspouts swinging freely without support. read more

HORRIBLE experience with Professional Gutter & Drain...contracted with them to install gutter conductors at a home in UA. they did the work, and when replacing the concrete sidewalk section, the slopped their mix all over the curb and both adjoining sidewalk sections. called multiple times to get them to clean up the mess that they left--they said "we sent someone out to clean it up but couldn't find any water"...amazing--there is a spigot on the home 20' away from where they said they were. Manager emailed me to say they simply were not going to send anyone out to correct this company's own lousy workmanship--as if someone else should repair PG&D's sloppy work? Shady, unprofessional IMO and would NOT recommend Professional Gutter & Drain to anyone. read more

Deante and Taylor did some great detective work finding the clogged drain pipes from our downspouts. Deante took time to show me the results and explain what was happening. he replaced a portion of the pipe that he could get to that same day. the rest of it was under the sidewalk. he was not equipped to do that work. Taylor also checked the other drainpipes and found them running freely. I am very happy with the service they provided and would willingly refer them to my friends. read more

Well, right up front I'll admit it's my fault for 1) taking a phone call while they were here and not paying more attention to making sure they'd do what they said they'd do, and 2) paying too promptly before actually inspecting their work. That said, I was very disappointed in what I got compared to what they said they'd do. I told them up front I had gutter guards on part of the house, but nobody told me that would prevent them from cleaning those. (First thing out of the guy's mouth, "Did anybody tell you we can't service those?") Another guy didn't seem to do much more than take a blower to the gutters, and in the process somehow left nails of various sizes all over the driveway that I share with my neighbor. I found over a dozen after they left, and even after I thought I'd been careful the neighbor found more. Needless to say he wasn't happy. As for the work agreement saying, "If necessary, we will add fasteners, tighten screws, re-nail gutter spikes, and ensure system is set to drain," none of that appears to have been done, or at least not done carefully, because I found a broken fastener and spikes that were sticking out after they left. Yet the Technician Notes on the invoice said they did all that. Because of a delay in scheduling (altogether another issue), I had received an email saying I would get a discount on the invoice. Didn't happen. I emailed asking about it. No reply. I emailed asking to see the pictures that were taken that I was told I would receive. No reply. Again, my bad for trusting the work would be done as promised and for paying without checking everything first. But in the end, their poor work and lack of follow-up will cost them the larger drainage excavation job I'd talked to them about. No way I'll use them now, or ever again. One star because that's as low as I can go, and begrudgingly a second star because one guy seemed decent and he did take care of the one thing I specifically pointed out. Didn't expect I'd have to monitor them the whole time to make sure they did the work that was promised. read more

UPDATE: Got a second opinion and camera of lines from another company - our downspouts and sump pump lines to road were fine - and they were able to clear/clean them using water (hydro jet). Professional Gutter and Drain didn't show us what they camera (showed up after time frame) and "can't clean 90 degree angles" (where the downspout goes under ground) and wanted to replace our whole underground downspout system (including the sump pump line) saying they were full of tree roots and charged us $245 for this "assessment". Their recommendation was replace or reroute them all and our lines were still full of leaves. Do yourself a favor and find someone who tells the truth hydro jets downspout lines. read more

Hired them do install French drain. Alan's young crew knowingly cut electric wires and did not report to us. Alan refuses to correct and threatens to put lien on my house if we do not pay for French drain. We do not recommend their services as they refuse to correct issues that they admitted to have done, which is unprofessional. read more

I explained to PGD that I had a gutter overflow in a specific area causing my crawl space to get damp. They took over 3 weeks to finally come to my house and they did not solve the problem because they weren't prepared to replace a small section of gutter! They were only prepared to clean my gutters, which had been cleaned by a respectable roofing company the week prior. They insist on charging me a $175 service charge for coming out, and are offering to come out again to replace the small section of gutter for another $175. I would not recommend this business at all. read more

I had this company come out to install a new drainage pipe from my gutters to the street about a year ago. The city of Upper Arlington was replacing parts of my sidewalk this week and I noticed that there was no pipe visible in the dirt under the removed sidewalk. I contacted Dave Frederich who said he was the owner. Despite a "5 year warranty", he refused to come to my home to see the issue I was having and explain how the drain pipe was connected. His rudeness was quite surprising and would have been simple for him to explain how the drain was installed. read more

This is the fourth time I have hired Professional Gutter and Drain Ltd. in Columbus. They have done both new gutters, gutter toppers and drainage pipe replacement for us. Today, despite the weather (raining)they came out and inspected with a camera clogged/damaged drain pipe. They fixed the trouble spot and will be back in 8 weeks or so to replace about 80 ft. of pipe. My Thanks to Austin and Chuck for the work they did today! Was having some pretty bad gutter problems. The water was draining so bad off my house that it had caused a hold to form in a cement block that's located have above and half below the ground's surface. I called Professional Gutter & Drain and they came out in a timely manner to give me an estimate. They gave me two different options. One to redo the entire gutter lines (I had another company out and they too confirmed that my gutter lines needed redone so I knew they were not lying) and one to install elbows off the bottom to keep the water from sitting at the corners of my house and causing further damage. They arrived on time to do the work an I have had no issues since. The cost was actually a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. Everyone was very professional and accommodating. I had a top notch experience using the team at professional gutter and drain. They completed an underground drain replacement for me in the summer of 2017 at a fair price and top quality service. When an issue arose in the summer of 18 I called them again to service our home. Upon inspection it was determined the issue would be covered fully under warranty from the work completed the prior year. The service technician that came to our home kept me informed of his ETA and progress throughout the job. Alan (drain division manager) provided excellent service to me over the phone as well. I highly recommend using them if you are in need of outside drain repair. Good and honest service is a rarity in today's world. I would not hesitate using them again in the future. read more

Our 24 year old roof combined with undersized 4" gutters created a number of drainage issues. After replacing the roof our installer, Joe, and his assistant, who were both obviously very skilled at their profession, customized the project (complete upgrade to 6" gutters & downspoats) to solve all of the drainage issues. There were 2 follow up tweaks that needed to be done which Joe came back and finished. Overall the quality of the job was impeccable. Not only was it functionally perfect but it looked great as well. I have used PGD for years and had them installed new gutters last spring and returned this spring to clean. They clean your gutters but not your downspouts to where they drain - if they clog, then you need another team and another $195.00 plus any pro rated amount. Never have I had to have two teams out as many times that I have used PGD. I have a clogged downspout thanks to a bird nesting over and over again ..... I chose to email because every time I called for service it rang but went directly to voice mail. So I emailed ~ Received two responses back from PGD asking where the downspout is located if you were looking at the front of the house ... I felt I answered her question. Nope, I get another email wanting to know if it is to the left or right ..... I guess telling her rear of house, facing north, extending the entire length 2nd floor to corner of sidewalk (SW) was too confusing for her. However, until I could provide her the information she felt was sufficient, I could not get on the schedule which was 4-6 weeks out. Would you think she would pick up the phone and call? NO! I guess they dont care to keep a long term client - of 10 years maybe? My two cents - stop trying to grow so fast and get rich fast . Think about the quality of people. People like customers and people as in quality of staff. Both types should be your long term investment goals. read more
