This is my favorite local spot for nigiri. The quality of the fish here is superior to everywhere I have tried locally and the rice is seasoned well, which I find most sushi spots lacking. I find myself craving their fatty tuna nigiri. And often order take out just to get my fix. The service here is very good! The servers are really nice and attentive. My only gripe is that the ambiance is not great and there have been times the tables have been sticky. But since the fish and rice is so lovely I look past it. read more

We spent the day shopping at Park Meadows, and our reservations were for 1830. By 1720, we were exhausted, tired, and hungry. So we went early. The hostess looked at her seating chart, crossed off our 1830 reservation, and promptly seated us. Our server, Cameron, was attentive, even though the place rapidly filled up and he had more tables. He helped guide my girls with choices, as one wasn't up on sushi/sashimi. He guided my granddaughter through cooking her Kobe on the stone. The food was excellent. We shared a Kobe beef appetizer, totally awesome. The rolls were well made and tasty. The Kobe sirloin was excellent, as one would expect. The sashimi portions were generous - and cut so well that they were easy for me to eat. The Akashi whiskey was very good as well. All in all, we will be going back. read more

Solid sushi in the burbs. This was my second time to Edo Higan and both times I've enjoyed my meal. The first time was Feb 2020 for a Yelp elite event and this second time was after an event nearby and we were in the mood for sushi! When we first walked in there was a bit of an odd smell so that was a bit off putting. But the restaurant appeared clean and the staff was very friendly. They weren't as attentive as I would have liked especially since they weren't very busy. As for the sushi my friend and I shared a handful of rolls. We both agreed that we preferred the 2 rolls that had less items and just felt more fresh. Don't get my wrong I love a good roll that has all the things and sauces but the lighter rolls definitely stood out for me this go around! read more

This was the second time I've gone here for lunch. Both times it was pretty quiet which was nice as they were both working lunches for me. The first visit - I had sushi. This time, I decided to try something off the lunch menu. I really wanted udon since the weather was cold out and then saw a mini version that came with 4 rolls of sushi. That's what I opted for and got the spicy tuna. We also got the spicy edamame to start. Very tasty! When the lunch came - it was bento box style and also had tempura and a rice cake thing. SO much food!! The udon was a good size and hit the spot. I've always enjoyed some tempura! The sushi was fresh and good. And the rice cake was really good. I couldn't finish it all but really wanted to! The server also was very friendly and helpful with the menu questions we had. read more

Stopped by for lunch during a weekday shopping trip, and it was a solid choice for a quick bite. The restaurant wasn't busy, with just a few tables occupied, making for a quiet atmosphere. Service was average, just what you'd expect when dining out. I went for the sushi combo, which turned out to be a really great value. It came with a salad, and I got quite a few different pieces of nigiri, sashimi, and california roll. The dressing on the salad reminded me of another sushi restaurant I loved, which is now closed. Everything tasted fresh and was good, just perfect for a lunchtime meal. A big plus is the parking situation--it's located at the mall, so there's plenty of parking available. It's located in the outdoor shopping/restaurant area at Park Meadows, so just be aware that you'll have to trek outside of the actual mall to get there. All in all, Edo Higan is a decent option if you need a quick sushi fix while out shopping - a good spot for a casual lunch. read more

My mom and I like to try out various sushi restaurants. This one has definitely earned its five stars as the sushi was wonderfully tasty. Loved all the options available and you could tell the fish was very fresh. Service was also impeccable as they came by several times to see how things were going and if we needed anything. Quality of fish is very good, presentation is also pretty and there is plenty of seating. I decided on Tuna 3 ways and my friends got 3 special rolls. The Tuna Lover roll was the best, and they aren't very small so size is just right. However, both desserts were disappointing. Lava cake had barely any lava inside and the creme brûlée cheese cake tasted nothing like creme brûlée. So I would skip dessert here unless you only want mochi ice cream. read more

Went for first time at lunch today based on a friends mention. Wow!! Not disappointed. Underwhelming to say the least. We were really looking forward to trying this sushi restaurant. I had high hopes as this is located right next to White Chocolate Grill, Yard House and Perry's steakhouse all have a more luxurious ambiance about them and this unfortunately fell a little flat. We all wanted to try the Black Rock Grill experience and chose the salmon and Kobe beef. Everything was fresh and very delicious and I love the experience of cooking it myself. They took us in less than an hr before closing and we were the only customers... still the service was really good! The waiter treated us very nicely and didn't rush us. This is by far my new favorite sushi place in town. Everything is absolutely perfect every single time: attention to details, thinking outside the box when it comes to a food presentation, service, and ,of course, high quality of every single item on a menu (I've tried almost everything and can't think of something I didn't enjoy). I know this spot has changed so many different restrauranys but I truly hope that Edo Higan is there to stay forever! I just adore their modern decor, and I could tell that they put so much love and thought into every single detail. The atmosphere is really nice inside & out. We got to enjoy the patio with the relaxing sounds of the stream across the way. The staff was also very nice from the hostess to the waiter. However, our sushi rolls were pretty disappointing. 3 out of the four were essentially flavorless. They were fresh tasting quality wise but no flavor. I like to get spicy rolls when I order sushi & the 2 I ordered (spicy salmon & the sun roll) had no kick whatsoever. We really only thought my husband's Twister roll had anything in terms of flavor. For this reason I probably wouldn't go back. We have a less expensive sushi spot closer to home with a larger menu that makes very flavorful dishes so we'll probably just stick to that one instead. read more

You'll want to get your camera out for this meal! (But, I mean, more so than usual, real Yelpies?) I would definitely recommend the avocado salad- that butterfly-cut avocado on a bed of fresh greens and ginger dressing, delish! We ordered the sashimi dinner and a couple rolls- both were so tasty. The cuts of sashimi were generous. High-quality fish! Can't wait to come back to Edo Higan. The menu offers so many dishes to choose from which means you'll have to come back many times, and I guarantee you'll love that. The beverages they offer are also wonderful. My girlfriends and I are always looking for great sushi places and spotted this new one in Park Meadows. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of stuff (yeah we always order too much). The Agedashi tofu was really wonderful in a flavorful broth and crispy fried tofu pieces, would order this again in a heartbeat. We had several specialty rolls that were good as well including several spicy options. It came in a giant boat that was just beautiful. Sorry I didn't write them down. My only issue is that I wish they had a Happy Hour. We are long time Hapa girls and the prices seem a bit to high for this place. I would go back. read more

Agedashi tofu - right balance of crispy and tender; subtle sauce Grilled whole squid - I don't see this on many menus and was happy to find it here. It was simple and tasty. Not rubbery. Inari sushi - ordered this for the kids in our party. Udon - solid standard udon soup Chirashi bowl - this was surprisingly huge. I believe there were 20 pieces. We love coming here for HH which is Monday-Friday 3-5:30. They have a lot of the appetizers and some sushi on sale! I haven't had issues with any quality which is great! I think most sushi rolls we've had are delicious. It's pretty quiet here no matter what day we come which is a big surprise. read more

Pretty great sushi spot. In the mall, so parking isn't great, but we've visited twice now and have been very impressed with both the food and service. Our first time dining in, we ordered a sushi boat that came with two rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. Our server was really accommodating in answering questions we had and allowing us to sub out some of the sashimi; e.g., we wanted more salmon instead of striped bass. We had the Sunfire Roll, which was excellent. The fish all tasted fresh and delicious. We ended up with some leftovers, and thought we could save some money just doing a la carte next time. But we spent almost as much for two rolls, two nigiris, and a sashimi, so the boat is actually a pretty good bang for your buck. On our second visit, we placed a to-go order. Again, the service was very good, and our food was ready in about 15 minutes. We just moved to the area not long ago, so I'm pretty sure this is our sushi spot now. read more

Amazing asparagus sushi!! Japanese soda made my nephew happy. Edo offers gluten-free dishes. Bathrooms were clean. There was a bar, thankfully. Parking is an issue but valet parking is offered and it can be validated by the restaurant. Tea pot should be left at the table. Terrible customer service --at the level of the Owner (May) as well as Manager (Ronnie)! When we ordered delivery on their website--which redirected us to Grubhub--the delivery driver went to the wrong address. The driver texted me to ask for the proper address and was given the proper address. Regardless, no food arrived. We called the restaurant, Yelp, and Grubhub but after more than two hours, it was clear the food was not coming. Grubhub refunded the charge for the food. Since we never got any food, that's a no brainer. But what we didn't get was any sort of apology or good will offer from the restaurant to make things right. We ended up without dinner and a whole lot of aggravation trying to sort out the restaurant's and its delivery agent's problems. In fact the only "apology" we got from the restaurant was a sorry this happened to you but it's not our problem, talk to Grubhub . Appeals to the manager Ronnie and Owner May were unsuccessful, as they didn't seem capable of understanding that they couldn't expect to have happy customers just because --2 hours later--the money for food which never came was refunded. Amazingly, the owner said that there had been many such cases of customers not getting timely delivery--yet the owner had refused to offer any sort of goodwill credit to these unhappy customers to encourage them to come back. Clearly the Owner and Manager don't view a positive customer experience as relevant to their business. For that reason we will never return. They have lost a repeat customer, and likely others who have been stonewalled in asking for a minor goodwill gesture for an undelivered meal. read more

Awesome service offered from Joy. I was seated and this was a first date...Joy offered to seat at a quiet table in a different section. Celiac/gluten free and Joy took me through the menu offering how the menu item could be made gf and making recommendations. I felt safe making my order and was not disappointed...the rolls were delicious, fresh, and were at our table quickly. snd the date went well also.
