Hands down, Edley's is our go-to spot when we eat out--and we don't eat out often, so that says everything. I'm incredibly picky about BBQ. I used to attend Memphis in May every year and had the honor of eating world championship-level barbecue--so my standards are high. And yet, Edley's delivers every single time. The food is consistently spot-on, flavorful, and served with care. Our last visit? A feast. Catfish sandwich with grits casserole and coleslaw. Brisket burnt ends with more of that amazing grits casserole. My partner got the turkey combo and I swear the green beans and grits casserole were cooked with someone's grandma in the kitchen. Even the sides are excellent--banana pudding so good we ordered extras. (Yes, multiple banana puddings.) And here's the kicker: my spouse hates BBQ, yet loves Edley's. That's how good it is. This place hits the sweet spot of casual, comforting, and delicious. Edley's isn't just a restaurant--it's our first choice when we want food that feels like home. My husband and I left around 7:50 and got to Edleys at 8:20 and no one answered the drive through for 5+ minutes so we drove to the window, workers looked at us and completely ignored us for another 5 minutes so I called the restaurant and a lady answered and said they closed at 8 not 9. Which was super frustrating, we drove 30 minutes to get turned away because they decided to close an hour early. We're just super frustrated and disappointed because Edleys is one of our favorite places to go. read more

The food was great, but the staff was all young kids on a week night who were trying to push everyone out and interrupting our dinner over an hour early to do their closing duties. "Are you finished with the bbq sauce." , "do you mind if I refill you napkins.", can I have that table number". "Do you mind if we close this?", "could we sweep under your table?" They also must not know how to use a please or thank you. It was so distracting that my husband I had to check what time they closed and it was over an hour left. Pretty crazy to be pushed out and bothered during dinner like that. We've been fans and coming for years, all the locations we have lived by, but will be avoiding this one in the future. read more

This was my first time here. I had the ribs because they were out of brisket. I have to say that if the brisket is as bad as the ribs I'm not sure how they stay in business. There was no flavor at all in the ribs. They tasted like they boiled them and didn't smoke them at all. Then they just dumped a sauce that was horrible all over them. I can't say this enough. If you actually like BBQ you should go elsewhere. read more

Back in Franklin for business and wanted to try this location. Came in with work colleagues who've been at the location near the airport. Food was as good a we remembered it. We all tried the pudding and grits casserole for the first time and they did not disappoint. Brisket, pulled pork and chicken were all well prepared. Nice ambiance with a drive through for quick pick up n go needs. Well greeted as we walked in and throughout out our dining time was checked in on frequently. I always enjoyed brisket at the 12 South location. Been a while though. So when I saw the Berry Farm location I took my son and grandsons for some BBQ. I got the brisket sandwich, son got a sampler with brisket and my grandsons got pork sandwiches. As we were leaving I told my son that was the worst brisket I have ever had. It was 25% fat and extremely tough. I had to pull the pieces off the sandwich to gnaw on the meat. It had absolutely no flavor of fire cooking. My son said his was the same. My grandsons both said they had bones in their pork. Clearly Edley's has left the slow cooking southern tradition of real BBQ for the big bucks of cutting corners in a fancy building. Skip this one and find a real BBQ joint not a mass market version. Used to be when they ran out of properly cooked brisket they put up a sign saying they were out. These guys must just want to make a sale. read more

I came out of town to visit my brother in Spring Hill, and he recommended this BBQ place. We ordered 3 takeout meals, and it took very long due to Memorial Day weekend. I had their brisket sandwich, mac and chequesadillaese, and banana pudding, which was amazing! The interior design is very Southern with a Nashville vibe. So apparently we like going to chains. We asked a local where the best BBQ was, and he said Edley's. We went not knowing it was a chain. But hey, whatever, as long as the food's good, right? For the most part, it was. Very succulent meats. I went with a simple brisket platter that came with two sides, a slice of pickle, and bread. The two sides - baked beans and potato salad - were generously sized and packed with rich flavor. Like many BBQ joints, you order at a counter. Not my preferred method, but it is the way of the land. There's usually a slow-to-moderately paced line, so you'll have a few minutes to peruse a menu. Sadly, though, that still wasn't enough time for me to make a decision, so I just panic picked the brisket platter special that the cashier mentioned. Sometimes a panic pick can totally derail an otherwise pleasant night out, but this time it worked out. The brisket was super tender and drizzled with a tangy BBQ sauce. The pork sandwich was also a hit, with a mound of shredded pork topped with a pair of snappy crinkle cut dills. Nothing quite as satisfying as biting into a well brined crunchy pickle. Very spacious dining room with plenty of seats, which is good since you seat yourself after ordering and it would absolutely suck if you ordered only to find there was no place to sit. You grab a table, make some small talk, then before you know it, your food is being delivered on literally a silver platter. Another above average stop during our Nashville journey. Chain or not, Edley's delivers a solid overall experience. Then again, I may just be another noob tourist who fell for the ultimate tourist trap. Chain BBQ when visiting from up north? Agh, what were we thinking? The thing is, we enjoyed it. But we will never know what true local BBQ is all about. And that, my friends, shall haunt my dreams forever. read more

I waited 43 minutes in the drive through for 3 kids meals. They never apologized or even mentioned it. The customer service is appalling. It ruined our entire night's plans. This is my third visit to this particular Edley's, and it will be my last. The first time I went it was good. The second time was so-so, and this last time was terrible. I got a salad with brisket and the salad was actually yummy, but the brisket was 90% fat and 10% actual meat. I do understand brisket as my husband smokes it all the time at our house, and I know that the fat is important for flavor, but this was a ridiculous piece of meat that I was served. The cornbread was hard as a rock around the edges and only about an inch thick. It was hard to actually get the flavor of it because it was so crunchy. All four of us were served meat, but no knives were given, and when we asked for knives and butter for our cornbread, the server literally brought us one knife and one tiny teaspoon packet of butter. I went back to the kitchen door, waited for someone and asked for butter. She was very sweet, but went into the kitchen and did not come out for literally five minutes with my butter. Between the food and the service, it just wasn't worth the time and money that I spent with my friends, to leave disappointed. I know that it's a popular place with many people, but this is the second time I've had this experience with the brisket so I just won't be going back. read more

Sooooo dry! Not sure what the thinking is here but the BBQ we got was very dry & stringy! It was generally terrible! Sides were meh lacked seasoning for the most part! A lot of choices in Franklin alone so I don't think I'll be back. Honestly even Jim & Nicks is better & that's sayin something! That little shack place next to shell just past McDonald's is wayyy better if you just want some good BBQ & Brisket. Prices were also a bit much considering what you're getting. read more

Their food is among my favorite BBQ in the area. They do a good and consistent job with all the meats. I especially like the pulled pork and brisket. The turkey is also really good, and I recently tried the chicken for the first time and it was very tasty. They have a variety of sides, and I usually get the potato salad and the baked beans, both of which are good. The cornbread that comes with the platters is also nice, with a hint of spice though a little dry. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they really know the menu well. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table, and it generally comes out promptly. If you want beer, wine, or cocktails you have to go to the bar to order those, and you should expect a wait. They generally only have one bartender, who takes care of customers at the bar counter and in the small bar area. That doesn't leave much time to take care of walk-up orders. The space is pretty cool, with a good number of tables both inside and out (with the outside tables being covered). Their parking lot is really small, so it tends to be full. It isn't exactly clear where you can park when the lot is full, though we've parked at the hotel back behind and haven't had an issue. The do tend to keep the music REALLY loud, even during the day. That includes loud music on the patio as well as outside at the front entrance. I really wish they would turn the music way, way lower. Overall a good experience, and their food is consistently very good. read more

THANKSGIVING ORDER - We picked up Smoked Turkey here, unfortunately we didn't order the white sauce ahead of time, but the BBQ sauce with it is SOOOOOO GOOD. It was pre sliced and so so good, just like if you order in store. You just have to put the container in the oven to heat up and it was perfect. The biggest PRO was that everything was streamlined and so fast and easy for pick up! We highly recommend and absolutely will be doing this in the future. read more

We love Edley's, we live nearby and would consider ourselves regulars. Making an exception to our normal 5 star rating for when we drive through. Today (and not for the first time) our sides were very VERY small. A handful of fries and a tiny container of mac n cheese prompted this review. This is not the first time we have been dissatisfied at the drive through. After paying close to 80.00 for dinner we expect better. The 3.00 cokes were a complete waste of money. A good place to dine in but we will be skipping the drive through from now on. read more

I understand Edley's BBQ is a chain, but I've never been to one. Ordering take-out with my 2 buds for a NFL playoff weekend couldn't have been easier, or delicious. I ordered the St Louis Ribs, half slab with baked beans and green beans sides [$23.25, 4.0 stars]. The half was about 8 meaty ribs, and they were saucy and awesome. The sides were both meh: baked beans were nice with pieces of meat in it, but under-seasoned and sweet instead of smoky; the green beans had a sharp flavor, I think vinegar. I'd order other sides next time. Anyway, delish. read more

Excited to have Edley's in the neighborhood, and thrilled that we can even get it delivered. Sampled a variety of their meats and sides. Brisket was solid. The light sauce on it was too sweet for my tastes, wish there was a spicier sauce option. Ribs were real fall of the bone, very enjoyable. Wings were big and smoky, though they were a bit chewy, could have benefited from a bit more time in the smoker. Their classic sauce was too sweet for me. They're good wings, and I'll try them again with a spicier sauce or rub. Liked that the beans were a combination of pinto and kidney, good flavor, great side. Something about the slaw was a little off for my taste, just not a personal favorite. Also noted it was unusually completely white, no green or red cabbage leaves, no carrots, just white. Overall I found Edley's to skew sweet. I expect that's Nashville style and catering to local tastes. I look forward to trying again, and am certain will enjoy it more with spicier sauce and rub options. It's a nice new local business in Berry Farms, so being a touch generous with the rating. read more

Our first time here (as well as first time in any Edley's BBQ venue) -- service was excellent -- food quality & taste was very good -- decor & ambiance was casual but not over the top. A drive up window is available as well as dedicated parking for quick pickups on preordered food. Adult beverages are available and a cozy bar seating area with counter and booth seats are available. I had the brisket which was good but the smoked turkey was excellent. My wife had ribs and loved them. Some menu choices include the sides -- others do not. Banana pudding was offered to us as first time guests as a taste sample -- it was very sweet, creamy and rich. Located off of busy Goose Creek Parkway near one of the entrances into Berry Farms Mixed-Use Development -- about 1/2 mile West of I-65 south of Franklin. read more
