Great building design with lots of wood and metal, plus has an amazing outdoor patio area that gave you the option of sitting where the AC could still reach you! The smell of BBQ smoke greets you from the parking lot and thankfully lightly scented our shirts as well to enjoy on the drive home! Walking in, you place your order at the counter, then pick a table. The staff was great at keeping the place clean, making sure you had what you needed and whisking the empties away! The menu included the standard fare of pork, chicken or beef, along with sides such as green beans, BBQ baked beans and cornbread. We settled on burnt ends, green beans & a grit cake, as well as the pulled pork platter with mac 'n' cheese and a bean salad. The beef and pork were excellent, as was the sauce. The grit cake had a great flavor with the POW of the peppers hitting you after a few bites. The bean salad was chilled and the flavors well balanced. Stopped in on a Friday evening a little after 5 pm. Waited in line for a little over 25 minutes. The parking lot is a little small, and people were paying in the bank parking next door. It was full, too. You order from the menu and they give you a number to take to your table. If you don't want to wait you can go to the bar and order there. I ordered the burnt ens that comes on grits along with potato salad. Jalepeno cornbread comes with it. Food came out in 10 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, the meal was served hot, but nothing really set it apart from an other bbq place. One son got the pulled pork platter with bean salad and potatoe salad. We were visiting a friend in Nashville, and when asked what sounded good for lunch, I replied "barbecue." So we ended up here. And it was good! We got the three meat combo, pork, chicken, and brisket. All good, but I thought maybe the brisket was a little dry from my taste. For the sides, we opted for mac & cheese, potato salad, green beans, and baked beans. Loved everything, but as I am a California native, the green beans were a little too mushy for me. I desperately wanted to love it. A few things.... I went with two peers of mine, and they both agreed with my review. I'm also going to chalk it up to being open for a week and a half.. in addition, I've also eaten at other locations, which were much better. Ribs, almost inedible. Burned in the outside, and the pickles completely overpower and BBQ flavor. Super dry, and extremely tough. Clearly cooked to fast. Ordered a full slab, and between three people, we left half the slab on the tray to be thrown out. Asked for the wings to be extra crispy. Smoked wings had a "rubbery" consistency. Ordered two dozen wings, and left at least half of them on the tray to be thrown out. As a one time bartender, I'm always mindful of the service. We sat at a high top in the bar. The bar staff honestly tried their best to help us, but we're completely overwhelmed by the take out orders, being placed at the to-go register, at the end of the bar. Edley's BBQ has been a longtime favorite of ours in Nashville, so it's really exciting to have a Franklin location now that we live further south. This location is super spacious and easy to access from the interstate. It's obvious they're new and still finding their flow, but the quality is still there. We had the best experience ordering Edleys for our Volunteer lunch! The food was fantastic, on time, the care with using double trays on heavier items, everything was perfect! Great food and service, Amy waited on me at the take out counter, she did an excellent job double checking my order! The brisket tacos are a fav, excellent smokey flavor, no fat on the brisket; the combination of ingredients are so delicious. Also included was bbq sauce and white sauce which topped off the tacos nicely. The fried pickles are some of the best I've ever had, tangy, with a great crunch, seasoned perfectly with ranch sauce for dipping! The fries and children's chicken tenders were good, nothing exceptional, fries could have used a bit more bbq rub. Edley's is one of my favorite BBQ restaurants in Franklin, love the Berry Farms location, will definitely be back! read more

Location: 7 - Easy to get to off of 65. Berry Farms is a cool area with lots of food options. Parking: 4 - Small lot and roped off areas nearby so I can tell parking is an ongoing issue. Service: 7 - Food came out relatively fast and woman taking our order was nice. Value: 3 - Paid $23 for a "platter" which was not a lot of meat and two sides in very small cups. My sides in small cups when I paid $23 for one platter? Lame. I expect healthy portions of beans and Mac and cheese and got neither. Cornbread was promising, but too dry. Really, really disappointing "value". Ambiance: 5 - Sat on the patio and there were several tables that needed to be cleared, the lighting was very dim just outside the bar area and the music was very loud. The place was really busy with families and couples, but I'd never bring my family there. Just too much for what you get...or I should say, don't get. It's in south Franklin so it'll probably be fine because lots of folks have money to burn but this isn't a place you go for value. Absolutely loved the cornbread! My husband had the wings with ghost pepper bbq sauce and said it was excellent! Our waiter brought us a sample of the fried ribs and we will order that next time.
