The food was great, but the staff was all young kids on a week night who were trying to push everyone out and interrupting our dinner over an hour early to do their closing duties. "Are you finished with the bbq sauce." , "do you mind if I refill you napkins.", can I have that table number". "Do you mind if we close this?", "could we sweep under your table?" They also must not know how to use a please or thank you. It was so distracting that my husband I had to check what time they closed and it was over an hour left. Pretty crazy to be pushed out and bothered during dinner like that. We've been fans and coming for years, all the locations we have lived by, but will be avoiding this one in the future.

Back in Franklin for business and wanted to try this location. Came in with work colleagues who've been at the location near the airport. Food was as good a we remembered it. We all tried the pudding and grits casserole for the first time and they did not disappoint. Brisket, pulled pork and chicken were all well prepared. Nice ambiance with a drive through for quick pick up n go needs. Well greeted as we walked in and throughout out our dining time was checked in on frequently. Will definitely be back with other out of town colleagues.

I came out of town to visit my brother in Spring Hill, and he recommended this BBQ place. We ordered 3 takeout meals, and it took very long due to Memorial Day weekend. I had their brisket sandwich, mac and chequesadillaese, and banana pudding, which was amazing! The interior design is very Southern with a Nashville vibe. Will return again on the next visit.

So apparently we like going to chains. We asked a local where the best BBQ was, and he said Edley's. We went not knowing it was a chain. But hey, whatever, as long as the food's good, right? For the most part, it was. Very succulent meats. I went with a simple brisket platter that came with two sides, a slice of pickle, and bread. The two sides - baked beans and potato salad - were generously sized and packed with rich flavor. Like many BBQ joints, you order at a counter. Not my preferred method, but it is the way of the land. There's usually a slow-to-moderately paced line, so you'll have a few minutes to peruse a menu. Sadly, though, that still wasn't enough time for me to make a decision, so I just panic picked the brisket platter special that the cashier mentioned. Sometimes a panic pick can totally derail an otherwise pleasant night out, but this time it worked out. The brisket was super tender and drizzled with a tangy BBQ sauce. The pork sandwich was also a hit, with a mound of shredded pork topped with a pair of snappy crinkle cut dills. Nothing quite as satisfying as biting into a well brined crunchy pickle. Very spacious dining room with plenty of seats, which is good since you seat yourself after ordering and it would absolutely suck if you ordered only to find there was no place to sit. You grab a table, make some small talk, then before you know it, your food is being delivered on literally a silver platter. Another above average stop during our Nashville journey. Chain or not, Edley's delivers a solid overall experience. Then again, I may just be another noob tourist who fell for the ultimate tourist trap. Chain BBQ when visiting from up north? Agh, what were we thinking? The thing is, we enjoyed it. But we will never know what true local BBQ is all about. And that, my friends, shall haunt my dreams forever.

Their food is among my favorite BBQ in the area. They do a good and consistent job with all the meats. I especially like the pulled pork and brisket. The turkey is also really good, and I recently tried the chicken for the first time and it was very tasty. They have a variety of sides, and I usually get the potato salad and the baked beans, both of which are good. The cornbread that comes with the platters is also nice, with a hint of spice though a little dry. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they really know the menu well. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table, and it generally comes out promptly. If you want beer, wine, or cocktails you have to go to the bar to order those, and you should expect a wait. They generally only have one bartender, who takes care of customers at the bar counter and in the small bar area. That doesn't leave much time to take care of walk-up orders. The space is pretty cool, with a good number of tables both inside and out (with the outside tables being covered). Their parking lot is really small, so it tends to be full. It isn't exactly clear where you can park when the lot is full, though we've parked at the hotel back behind and haven't had an issue. The do tend to keep the music REALLY loud, even during the day. That includes loud music on the patio as well as outside at the front entrance. I really wish they would turn the music way, way lower. Overall a good experience, and their food is consistently very good.

The Tucks. Bad to the bone.

Edley's is always our fave bbq joint. This location is no exception. It had friendly and fast service along with the down home ambience. We'll be back!

The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

Yes, it really was as bad as described…read more This was, without question, the worst restaurant experience we've ever had. We made our Valentine's Day reservation more than a week in advance and arrived early, yet still waited nearly an hour past our reservation time to be seated. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and unprepared for the evening. What was never disclosed ahead of time was that Valentine's Day featured a very limited menu at nearly $100 per person, with multiple upcharges. While we waited, customers were already complaining that the restaurant was running out of food. By the time we were finally seated, there were only one or two options left on an already limited menu. At that point, we were simply trying to make the best of a bad situation. Our server was visibly overwhelmed, and I genuinely felt for him. The couple seated next to us was so frustrated that they left no tip at all, so I tipped extra on their behalf. Guests were actively walking out and warning others in line how bad things were. One couple even decided to leave and eat at a nearby fast-food restaurant instead. This was a massive missed opportunity. The food was mediocre at best, wildly overpriced, and the overall experience was poorly managed from start to finish. We will not be returning and do not recommend this restaurant, especially for a special occasion.

When we checked in, the hostess asked for our name and the number in our party and wrote it down on a notepad. I had to clarify that we already had a 7:00 PM reservation for two. She didn't appear to be referencing the tablet system, and it may not have been functioning. Throughout the evening, she was walking around with her notepad, going table to table asking for names. It all felt very unorganized, and honestly, I felt badly for her being put in that position. We were told they were running 20-25 minutes behind and could wait near the bar. We grabbed a high-top near the jazz quartet and settled in. As we waited, we noticed several couples come in, wait, and eventually leave. A couple next to us who had arrived about 15 minutes before we did repeatedly checked with the hostess about their table. At 7:45, they were finally seated. By that point, we had been waiting nearly an hour past our reservation time. During the wait, my wife went to the restroom and came back concerned. The ladies' room was not clean and was out of paper towels. She also noticed that about half the dining room tables were empty, with a significant amount of bussed food sitting out in the open. I checked the men's restroom myself and found the trash overflowing and paper towels all over the floor. It did not inspire confidence--especially regarding what the kitchen might look like. As I stood in line to let the hostess know we would be leaving, the couple who had just been seated walked back out and told us several items on the preset $89-per-person Valentine's menu were already unavailable--including the shrimp. Running out of key items that early in the evening on a fixed holiday menu is simply unacceptable. Had we stayed, our bill likely would have been around $300 with dinner and wine. Instead, after waiting nearly an hour and seeing the condition of the restaurant, we chose to leave. Several other couples did the same. We ended up at Tito's Mexican Restaurant, which wasn't our first choice for Valentine's dinner--but at least we were seated, served, and able to enjoy our evening. What makes this especially disappointing is that we gave Ludlow & Prime a try last Valentine's Day as well. We went earlier (around 5 PM) and were told they were already out of our preferred dessert. Fool me once. We decided to give them another chance this year--and unfortunately, it was worse. The restaurant wants to position itself as a high-end dining experience, but the service, preparation, and execution simply don't match the price point. There are far better options in Franklin at this level. We won't be back, and we cannot recommend it to others.

Ratings Husband - 4 star - roast beef…read moreSon - 4 - alligator Me - 3 - burger Sides - fried green tomatoes & red beans & rice. I got outvoted and they got a 4. Husband got the roast beef. He enjoyed it but thought it was too much bread. He prefers when they pull some of the bread out. It had debris and that's probably why he gave them a 4. We shared a side of red beans & rice. He thought the flavors were nice. I did not. It was like playing a game of find the beans. It was overly spicy and resembled a sausage soup. I've never had soupy red beans & rice (that barely had any beans) before so I wasn't a fan. Son got the alligator and fried green tomatoes. He really liked the sandwich. It looked like it had a nice amount of gator in it. The fried green tomatoes were overly spiced (come on not everything in Cajun food is a heat bomb - I'm from New Orleans so I know my Cajun food). Having said that - the tomatoes were done right. Not greasy and the crisp was good. Me - burger and this was where things went sideways and they lost a star. I have food allergies. I very carefully pick places where I can eat and make sure to stress what I cannot have. It's nothing crazy. Seafood, dairy, eggs.... so I chose the burger with no cheese. I don't like pickles or onions so asked those be removed as well. It comes out, no cheese. Yay! But it had so many pickles in it! I spent a good amount of time deconstructing it. Then there was the meat to bread ratio. 1/3 of the sandwich was just bread. I wasn't a fan of how they placed the burger on it. I thought it was a good idea to make a burger po'boy but the burger should have been placed differently or something. So between the "find the beans" soup and the mostly bread burger? I had to give them 3 stars. Ambiance - typical mall restaurant. Service - solid 4 star.

Stable Reserve is such a gem in downtown Franklin. We originally stopped in just for a quick drink…read moreand snack as a mid-day reset, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our day. We grabbed one of the small outdoor tables on a warm spring afternoon--perfectly shaded, great temperature, and honestly an ideal people-watching spot. I started with the Black Tie espresso martini. I had my eye on the Sunburnt, but since their espresso martinis typically include dairy (and I'm lactose intolerant), the bartender went above and beyond to accommodate me. They made a dairy-free version of the Black Tie and even added coconut--it was absolutely delicious. Jonathan went with the Summer Mule, which was everything you want in a mule with a tropical twist from the pineapple--light, crisp, and refreshing. But the second round is what completely sold us. Jonathan ordered the Double Oaked Old Fashioned--we were warned it was high proof and spirit-forward, which is exactly our style. It did not disappoint. I went with the Tea Time Old Fashioned, made with tea-infused whiskey, and it was everything I hoped for: reminiscent of a sweet tea bourbon, but more bourbon-forward and not overly sweet. Both drinks were dangerously good--we finished them way too quickly. They were unfortunately out of cheese for the charcuterie board, so we pivoted to the "Main Stream Mix" of nuts. Jonathan's official review: "underrated." Honestly, he's right--it was super flavorful and weirdly addictive for a nut mix. The staff were incredibly friendly, and there was even live music playing inside. It was the perfect volume--more of a background vibe than a full performance--so we could easily carry on a conversation without having to shout over it, which made the experience even better. Overall, such a great experience--we wouldn't hesitate to come back!

My friend and I stopped in to extend our evening after dinner. We didn't realize they close at 9pm,…read morebut we were still able to enjoy two drinks before closing. She ordered and I tasted the Lunchbox based on the bartender's recommendation and really enjoyed it as it was strong, well-balanced, and flavorful. I chose the Back in the Saddle, which leaned a bit sweeter and creamier than my personal taste, but that's more a preference thing than a flaw. The vibe is relaxed and inviting overall. As closing time approached, things understandably felt a bit more hurried, but we still appreciated the atmosphere and the quality of the drinks. A nice spot for a casual nightcap, just plan to arrive a little earlier than closing. They were turning several groups away around 8:30+ on a Monday night, but it's Franklin, not Nashville - things wrap up early here.

This was our "splurge" dinner on a trip to Franklin, TN. My friend we were visiting had been before…read moreand had raved about it, but even she agreed this visit just wasn't up to snuff. The place is beautiful, but we were seated in the least interesting area. My friend said it used to be an open patio and was renovated for more indoor seating, which makes sense, but it lacked any real atmosphere. When I am spending this kind of money I want a slow, leisurly pace, and this felt rushed. Yes, we probably could have asked the waiter to slow things down, but we didn't. I ordered a specialty cocktail - the Midnight Sun that was delish - it was layered and around $16. The waiter then brought out what ended up being the highlight of the meal, a little treat from the chef. It was a creamy gnocchi dish to share, about three pieces each, super rich and honestly I could have eaten 20 more. We also spilt the bread flight. The bread was good but I wasn't a fan of the spreads, I'm a BUTTER person, these were more like bean spreads. The brussels sprouts with pork were also really good. Hubby and I split a mixed green salad that was pretty mediocre, and the croutons were almost too hard to chew. Then came the pork, which was a dissapointment. It was so tough it actually got caught in my throat a couple times despite chewing it well. We didn't even finish it. For the price, it should have been tender and full of flavor, and it was neither. My friend ordered the duck pasta and said it had "weird pieces of meat" in it. Her husband got the filet and loved it, so at least someone at the table was happy. We skipped dessert after most of us had disappointing entrees. I guess the good news is they rotate the menu every few months, so maybe it would be a totally different experience next time.

Very nice restaurant!…read more We had reservations at 7:45, checked in early and were seated on arrival. Upon entering the restaurant it seemed swamped but the staff was well prepared for the guests. Our server, was amazing! (I'm ashamed we didn't remember his name, Paul maybe). Nonetheless, he knew the menu, the specials, the drinks, and suggestions! We loved each and everyone of the suggestions and choices we made. Our dining experience started with the signature old fashion followed by a bottle of Heitz Cellars Cabernet! We ordered the lamb and brisket buns. Both were savory, delicious and well prepared. Followed by their Sushi Roll. It was described as "if you love sushi, you've never had anything like this." (I've had a ton of Sushi all over the world, and this was a spectacular Hamachi Roll.) we rounded out our meal with the Butternut Burrata and bread basket and a Beef Tenderloin. It was cooked to perfection and able to be cut with a fork. (I am salivating thinking about how perfectly it was prepared.) Just when we thought it couldn't be any better our server suggested we look at the dessert menu. He tempted me with a blood orange sorbet followed by a peanut butter chocolate pie. AMAZING! The fun thing was, I consumed the Heitz Cabernet throughout my entire meal - all the way through dessert. My high remarks to the chef and the staff because this team knows how to please and perform flawlessly!
