    Basket of Fries

Located in The Factory is a BBQ joint with a comprehensive menu. It's just slightly overpriced in my opinion, but I appreciated the wide variety of menu options. What we ordered: -Burnt Ends: Served atop grits, alongside cornbread, and a side of your choice. We got the banana pudding, and it was incredible- definitely some of the best I've ever had. -Basket of Fries: I asked for a side, but it was rung up as a basket. It was way more than I wanted. I didn't realize this until after we paid, and didn't want to reverse it over a $2 difference. Fries were good, though. -Southern Salad with pulled chicken: Croutons were not great for being advertised as homemade. This salad was okay, nothing spectacular. Not a lot of bacon either. All in all, this place was good but nothing extraordinary. They charge for a water cup, which is kinda ridiculous, but I also like that it de-incentivizes using single-use materials. Luckily, I bring a water bottle with me almost everywhere, so we were able to refill it.

We loved this place. We'll come back here when we visit Nashville. I had the sausage and brisket plate. It had a link of jalapeño cheddar sausage and some of the tastiest brisket I have had in TN. You order in a que in the front door and get your drinks. They bring the food. Great atmosphere. Friendly servers. Beans were my favorite side along with banana pudding. Yes it's a side here. The grits casserole was good as was the Mac n cheese. Great tea. Next time I will try the pork. My wife had the burnt ends over the grits casserole with banana pudding. It was great too.

This is a great BBQ joint' Glad we tried it as it's really good. Service was quick and everyone was courteous. I had chicken tenders which I usually don't order when we go for bbq. I was surprised how juicy and well seasoned it was. The grits and coleslaw was very good too. Hubby got brisket and said it was very good, it was juicy with a little fat on it and had a great smoke ring.

It's an order at the counter casual bbq place. The brisket is very good and the staff was friendly.

We had an overall good experience here. It's not full service; you wait in line, order at the counter get a number to put on your table and they bring everything to you. For well drinks, etc, you have to order separately at the bar. We ordered brisket tacos, pork platter, smoked wings, ribs, and chicken nachos. The ribs were cooked well and tasted great, I really enjoyed the pork platter and the potato salad and Mac n cheese that came with it were excellent... the cornbread, not so great. The smoked wings were dry rub and my son really enjoyed those. The brisket tacos were just okay, I would not order those again. And the chicken nachos were terrible... it seemed like they took day old chicken, tore the meat off and reheated it under a heat lamp over what could have been decent crunchy tortilla chips but ended up soggy somehow. One redeeming quality of this place (that gave it a four star instead of three) is the bar/bartender. I believe the gentleman's name was Spencer, he noticed a new face at the bar right away, asked me what I was interested in trying, and gave me my order immediately (beer in a mason jar). When I came back for a second round, he looked up, and remembered my name and asked if I wanted another of the same and he remembered my order too! Excellent bar service! A very good experience if you know what menu items to steer clear of.

Welcome to the Franklin Factory fam! My first time here and notably I haven't gotten BBQ for a long while - I forgot I don't like "Smokey flavor". Oooops! The brisket tacos were such good flavor! Albeit "Smokey"... Yum! Huge fan of the bean salad that was on them and love the shell for these. So good! Definitely recommend! The meat was quality meat, not big fatty chunks like thankfully!!!! Husband got the brisket sandwich and fries and everything was good! He would get it again. The fries are cajun flavors like the others in the factory. They were crispy and perfect. We both were happy with our choices.

We drove 15 minutes to Edley's for dinner but were greatly disappointed by their inventory. I really wanted some fresh pork and macaroni. This location was unfortunately out of macaroni and cheese, turkey, and green beans. They don't have many other side options that I find enticing. We drove 11 minutes south to the Sara Avalyn Berry location. The second location had no chicken, pork, ribs, or fries. We spent nearly 30 minutes driving around trying to fix our Edley's cravings, but we were very let down.

I'm a fan of Edley's Bar-B-Que, and a fan of The Factory in Franklin, so I'm super happy about this new location. And today I had the best meal I've ever had at any Edley's location ever! I got the Tri-Star Platter, which is sort of like saying you want a little bit of everything. Everything on the plate was executed to perfection. I've never had Beef Brisket this good at any Edley's location. It was just melt-in-your-mouth delicious! The Pulled Pork was tender and smokey as always, and the Pulled Chicken with White Sauce was super tasty. I got the Potato Salad and Baked Beans, which were both excellent. They have both indoor and outdoor (covered) seating, and a pretty good number of tables. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and helpful. I was actually thinking I should wait a bit longer to try out this new Edley's location, as they just opened a few days ago. But I gave it a shot, and I'm so glad I did. This is far and away my favorite location for Edley's. Now they gotta just keep up the great work, because my first meal at this new location was amazing!

The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

I stopped in before a show at the Franklin Theatre across the street (pro tip: if you're headed that way, this is the perfect spot to kick off your night!). I had no clue what to order, so I asked our server for help. She immediately recommended their famous espresso martini. I hesitated because I'm not a fan of olive martinis, but she promised this was completely different and handed me the flavor menu. I went with the Lamplight, caramel option--and BAM! Honestly, it might be the best drink I've ever had. New favorite, locked in! I'll definitely be ordering espresso martinis wherever I see them on the menu now, but if I want a guaranteed winner every time, I know exactly where I'm coming back to. Highly recommend!

We grabbed one of the small outdoor tables on a warm spring afternoon--perfectly shaded, great temperature, and honestly an ideal people-watching spot. I started with the Black Tie espresso martini. I had my eye on the Sunburnt, but since their espresso martinis typically include dairy (and I'm lactose intolerant), the bartender went above and beyond to accommodate me. They made a dairy-free version of the Black Tie and even added coconut--it was absolutely delicious. Jonathan went with the Summer Mule, which was everything you want in a mule with a tropical twist from the pineapple--light, crisp, and refreshing. But the second round is what completely sold us. Jonathan ordered the Double Oaked Old Fashioned--we were warned it was high proof and spirit-forward, which is exactly our style. It did not disappoint. I went with the Tea Time Old Fashioned, made with tea-infused whiskey, and it was everything I hoped for: reminiscent of a sweet tea bourbon, but more bourbon-forward and not overly sweet. Both drinks were dangerously good--we finished them way too quickly. They were unfortunately out of cheese for the charcuterie board, so we pivoted to the "Main Stream Mix" of nuts. Jonathan's official review: "underrated." Honestly, he's right--it was super flavorful and weirdly addictive for a nut mix. The staff were incredibly friendly, and there was even live music playing inside. It was the perfect volume--more of a background vibe than a full performance--so we could easily carry on a conversation without having to shout over it, which made the experience even better. Overall, such a great experience--we wouldn't hesitate to come back!

The warm, inviting vibe immediately drew me in. Since I was dining solo, I was able to grab a seat at the bar, which the hostess kindly pointed out was available. Behind the bar, the team was hustling, expertly balancing both coffee and cocktail orders while keeping things moving efficiently. I was greeted right away, handed a menu, and after a few minutes decided on an iced lavender latte and the lemon poppyseed waffle. My server offered a few side options, but I had a feeling the waffle would be more than enough. The lavender latte was fantastic, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of lavender syrup. It was flavorful without being overpowering and made for a refreshing start to the meal. Then came the waffle. The presentation alone was impressive; it looked more like a piece of art than a breakfast dish. Naturally, my phone had to eat first. But once I finally took that first bite, I understood what all the hype was about. The lemon flavor was subtle, bright, and refreshing, while the poppy seeds baked into the waffle added both texture and depth. Honestly, it was one of the best waffles I've ever had. I'm guessing that's due in part to Maverick, the General Manager, who seems genuinely committed to excellence. We actually came back this week because we realized we'd enjoyed our meal so much during our last visit that we forgot to take photos for our review. Believe it or not, we nearly forgot again! I rarely eat bread, but I always make an exception for the Spent Grain Loaf. Paired with the unbelievably fresh butter and flaky sea salt, it's one of my favorite things on the menu. My husband ordered the Prawn Cocktail. I'm allergic to shrimp, so I couldn't try it myself, but he said it was outstanding. I usually order the Koji Ribeye, but this time my husband claimed it first, so I ventured out and ordered the Alaskan Halibut with hash brown crust, orange vinaigrette, and watercress. It was absolutely delicious. My favorite side remains the Roasted Carrots with Leiper's Fork honey and tarragon--they're incredible. We finished with the Carrot Cake. It's less sweet than the version served at another well-known Franklin restaurant, which I actually prefer. The flavors are more nuanced, and the crunchy shredded carrot on top adds the perfect texture. The food was, as always, exceptional. We were fortunate to have Jeff Paul as our server again. He's knowledgeable, attentive, and strikes that perfect balance of being available without ever being intrusive. That said, we've honestly never had anything but excellent service at 1799. Maverick stopped by our table and was warm, engaging, and genuinely interested in making sure every guest had a memorable experience. It's clear he takes great pride in the restaurant, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. 1799 continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Franklin, and we can't wait for our next visit. -Wendy & Ben Ellis
