PEC&L
Maricel S.

Edith's is worth the trip for the bagels alone, but the PEC&L takes it to another level. The pastrami, egg, cheese, and crispy latke combo on a fresh bagel is ridiculously good! Everything stayed intact until the last bite! Definitely one of those sandwiches you keep thinking about afterwards. Cozy vibe, friendly staff, and genuinely memorable food. I'll absolutely be back for another PEC&L.

Pastrami Chopped Cheese

We got the matcha slushie and the coffee slushie but matcha not really worth- just tasted like flavorless slush. I'd recommend the coffee slushie more. I didn't really like the Sephardi wrap but if you're into cheesy breakfast wraps, I think you'd like it. The pastrami chopped cheese was good.

A Perfect Tuna Melt
Lynn N.

I came to Edith's to try their sandwiches after hearing such great things about their items! I was especially curious about their Sephardi Wrap and Tuna Melt, so that is what we ordered. The shop is diner styled where you order at the front and find a free seat to eat at. Service was incredibly kind and they also checked in on us too! I think the food just was not to my flavor unfortunately. The bread on the tuna melt was way too buttery for me, and the tuna + cheese was cold. Is that standard? I'm not super familiar with other tuna melts, but I was surprised. I do like how the tuna salad was heavy on tuna and lower on mayo though! The Sephardi wrap was interesting, but I think the wrap itself was maybe too crispy where it was a little hard. The dish itself was heavier than I expected. Overall, this is a great place to try but just didn't match my flavor profile.

BEC&L

fire food and fire drinks! i love their slush collab series, always creative and consistently brings you in. their bacon egg cheese latke sandwich is amazing, whatever cheese in their is so good and it melts with the sandwich perfectly. the sandwich is also massive and is super filling with tons of crispy quality bacon and basically a cheese omelet on it as well. overall great twist on a new york classic. service here is speedy and kind, got my food within 5 minutes of ordering. ambiance is a classic deli feel, small and intimate. overall loved eveyrhting, the matcha slush had great matcha flavor and i enjoyed the blueberry cardamom add on as well, it was different in the best way.

This is where I want to be seen, sitting at the counter in the window noshing the challah schnitzel with my eyes closed in bliss. I hope all streets of the West Village lead to Edith's.

Sourdough bagel stuffed with japanese-style tamagoyaki, and a shakshuka inspired bagel sandwich spotted in NYC! The secret to their fluffy egg omelette is that every bagel sammy is made with an individual omelette made in cast-iron tamagoyaki pans from Japan. Their West Village location gives off a buzzy deli vibe, with limited bar and window seating. It was packed when I went on the weekend, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. I placed my order online in advance to skip the line. Definitely need to go back to try their sandwiches and wraps. *Middle Eastern $12.85 A saucy and herby bagel sandwich inspired by shakshuka. Made with fluffy tamagoyaki, cheese, za'atar, shakshuka sauce and scallion aioli spread. It was messy to hold and bite into, but totally worth it. I went with their signature chicago-style everything bagel, which has a subtle kick compared to a regular everything bagel. *PEC&L $16.85 They offer BEC, SEC, and P(astrami)EC, all served with a latke and tamagoyaki! The PEC&L was a bit bland on its own, but I liked that the smoked pastrami wasn't overly salty. BUT the sandwich was DIVINE once dipped in their house special sauce!

I hired a photographer for a photo shoot in the West Village and we stumbled upon Edith's, perfectly set on a corner and absolutely calling my name. I was craving a breakfast sandwich, so the timing couldn't have been better. After a quick scan of the menu and a helpful Q&A with the woman behind the counter, I decided on the Scottsdale Wrap... and it did not disappoint. As a self-proclaimed potato lover, I was also interested to try totkes for the first time and was excited to try the zhug as well. The cheesy eggs added so much flavor and paired perfectly with the malawach wrap, and I swear they tucked an entire avocado in there too. Seating options include stools at the ordering counter with views of the cooks and the kitchen or a window-side counter with a great street view. I chose the latter and happily people-watched while I ate. The food felt fresh and light, yet still filling. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

I have been a fan of Edith's on IG for a few years now - I live in CA but it's been patiently waiting on my NYC foodie list for quite some time now. I was in the city last week, and finally got my chance to try Edith's for the first time - I got the Rueben, the tuna melt, latke tots (with every dipping sauce of course) and the tahini cold brew coffee slush (in the 20 something degree weather mind you!). Everything was perfect, but the Rueben and the cold brew coffee slush stood out as excellent! The sandwiches are very rich and filling so you could prob eat half and be full, but of course I had to eat one of each half. I recommend that Edith's be on everyone's NYC Foodie list!

Sephardi Breakfast Wrap
Vinh N.

4.5*s The Sephardi breakfast wrap is fantastic. The flakey malawach, the fluffy cheesy scrambled eggs, savory Alheira chicken sausage, zingy pickled Fresno peppers, and herby harissa mayo with a touch of spice. The latke was crispy and fun but missing something flavor wise. The iced coffee slushy was not too sweet, but I wanted more flavor or a bigger caffeine boost. Probably much better when it's warm out than when I had it and was fighting the winter winds. Staff was fun and friendly in the tight space. People please eat and go when there's people waiting! Just based on the Sephardi wrap I would totally come back to try all their other popular items; BEC&L, chicken tahini caesar wrap, The Edith pastrami etc.

Tahini Latte
Asia C.

TLDR: Small interior but a hearty meal for a good price. But you can skip the Tahini Latte Ordered: Pastrami on Rye 4.5/5 - So because my partner in crime did not know what to do about sauerkraut, we did in fact get in on the side (I had some to accompany my sandwich). With that I do think that it is an essential. With that said this was probably the best pastrami on rye i've ever had?? They've done this thing where they completely reinvented the classical sandwich. For starters the bread is toasted. Second, the pastrami is almost chopped and then the cheese is infused with it making it meld into one instead of having separate layers like a traditional sammie. Also for all things considered this was a good price for $18. Iced Tahnini Latte: 3/5 - Honestly, it was just okay? I really didn't get much flavor from it. Also if you are a texture person this will throw you off. So overall I'd say it probably wasn't worth the hype. Service: 5/ 5 - They were very nice, accommodating and patient. Vibe: 4/5 - Its a cute place but its just small, basically standing room only. I wish I could give you a tip on where to go to to have this other than being on the street but I don't. With that said I think its worth to try and huddle inside to eat because the sandwich can get messy. Overall I'd be super stoked to try this place again!

Tried The Edith's, thought it was good but little saucier than the photo. Latkes - served cold :/

This was my first breakfast stop when I landed in New York and it ended up being such a good choice. A friend who lives nearby recommended it, and honestly when I looked online the food seemed pretty average. I was not expecting much. Once I got there the staff suggested their breakfast sandwiches, and OMG they were on another level! The flatbread was so unique and light. It was unlike anything I have ever had before. The sandwich was flavorful and way better than they look in photos. I also loved the casual and cozy vibe inside. Service was friendly and helpful which made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend trying this place, especially if you want something different from the usual breakfast spots.

My company caters one lunch a week, and this week's treat was Edith's. Pretty beast. They were all cut in halves, which was clutch as I could try a couple. Nothing wrong with trying everything on the menu, word to Charlie Sheen. I went with a half pastrami and a half turkey sandwich. Pastrami was solid, but not touching Katz. I've never had a pastrami sandwich comparable to the OG. Turkey one was delectable though. If I had to do it over again, I would have just done a whole turkey sandwich. Hindsight is always 20/20 though, can't beat yourself up. I already do that enough. After demolishing both, the chicken cutlet sandwich was also looking at me CRAZY, but I've eaten enough office lunches to know that overeating will absolutely take me out for the 2nd half of the day and I needed to be productive. I'm a veteran of the game. IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo

This time we got the lox bagel with scallion lox cream cheese spread, bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel, and onion bagel with chipotle scallion cream cheese. The lox bagel had so much smoked salmon which was great. My favorite, however, is still the chipotle scallion cream cheese spread. By far my favorite and just getting cream cheese makes the bagel pretty cheap compared to those sandwiches. Strongly recommend!!

The bagel was nice and fresh. Doughy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I'm giving 4 stars because there was a bit too much cream cheese for my liking and I had to try to wipe some of it off. I ordered ahead on the Doordash app so it was ready when I arrived but there was no option to add a note for light cream cheese. I didn't spend too much time inside but I noticed there was plenty of seating. There were a ton of different spreads in the case and the menus on TV screens had a decent amount of options for salads, sandwiches, and breakfast platters. Plain Bagel with Cream Cheese: 4/5

FOOD: We ordered a bag of 3 bagels-- everything, poppy seed & salt. The bagels were cute, medium sized and served warm/hot. We chose the scallion cream cheese which came in a lil container.
