Came to try the jambon beurre sandwich since it is all over instagram. There was a short line that moved pretty quickly. The place is very small so you order and then wait outside. The sandwich is okay, the main flavor that I got was butter and didn't really notice the cheese or the ham. The croissant was solid.

Loved it!! There is quite a bit of wait during the time of day, but totally understandable because its a very small shop that has blew up due to popularity. Waited around 1 hour total on a Saturday at 1PM. Staff is extremely friendly, and some cute sidewalk seats right outside! Highly recommend! FOOD: Jambon Beurre (7/10): Baguette and the cornichons are the star of the show! The horseradish(?) sauce is amazing too! Jam & Butter Mini Baguette (10/10): Baguette is warm, crusty but soft and amazing! Highly recommend both the peach and fig jam!

A friend of mine shared with me a little piece of France that she found in the city. The following weekend we decided to make a trip down and go on an adventure. Hidden in the West Village, we find this lovely establishment. In front of which lies a lovely seating area, adorned with wonderful vases containing flowers and herbs. On the street we have a few makeshift tables and chairs to enjoy the ambiance of the bakery before you leave. We were lucky enough to get there before the line formed. Surrounded by the aroma of Baguettes and the white stone, you could hear classical French tunes from the likes of Édith Piaf. Talked with the Boulanger had a quick duet singing "Non, Je ne regrette rien" and ordered the Jambon Beurre. Then, we sat outside by the vases and enjoyed the ambiance until our orders were ready. I've had lots of Jambon Beurres and have made a couple myself; this sandwich revealed to me my lack of culinary creativity. Packed with Beurre, Ham, Cheese, Cornichons and Dijon Mustard; which took me by surprise because I am familiar with just ham and butter. Well I need not say more than that the sandwich was great! We had a lovely conversation with a regular in the outside seating area and hearing the banter from the workers was simply a joy. It is great to see people love their work and pour love into their craft. Simply Magnifique.

Came here strictly for the jambon beurre and the craving was deliciously satisfied. Although a bit pricey for a simple sandwich, the ingredients were fresh and quality. The baguette was one of the crispiest I've had in a while - I'm definitely coming back to pick up plain ones. The sandwich itself was generously packed with ham, cheese, butter, cornichons, and Dijon mustard. I usually prefer my jambon beurre with literally just ham and butter as the namesake suggests but this was highly satisfying nonetheless. I'll probably ask to customize one the next time I'm here but they do have them ready to grab and go in batches. Line moves quickly and they have a small outdoor seating area that fills up quick.

I just returned to Paris and was craving a baguette with butter and jam - while nothing can top a Paris baguette this comes very close. Some things to consider, the menu does not distinguish availability of menu items based on time, but they do in the bakery. They reserve baguettes for their sandwiches vs butter and jam at around 11. Also, I found the cashier/order taker to be gratuitously sarcastic. Def took away from the experience a bit. But Richard was very nice!

I was in the mood to make a classic Tunisian kaskrout sandwich, which combines Tunisia's favorite ingredient, harissa, with any mixture of different chopped veggies (potatoes, peppers) and often some fried eggs. That chopped mixture is then served on a baguette, and imagine how lucky I felt when I stumbled upon this quaint new French bakery on Perry Street at that exact moment. Sadly, the baguette I picked up was decidedly dry and lifeless. A good baguette tempts you on the way home, but by the time I got to my kitchen a few nibbles later, I had doubts that it would do as a vessel for my kaskrout. I am not a professional baker who might discern the baguette's specific deficiency, but it just did not taste good. C'est une cata! (But their packaging is nice.)

Having been to Denmark and Paris a few times, I was missing the pastries from Europe--heard people raving about Richaud Petite Bakery. First, as someone else mentioned, the cashier is extremely rude for a mistake of the actual business (not even mine). God forbid, she would be a nightmare for a business to hire as I would worry about customer backlash. Second, I arrived a little after 4 pm ET on a Saturday--the cashier had the audacity to rudely say they're closed and said the business doesn't close at 5 pm ET on Saturdays but at 4 pm ET. Sorry, this isn't Europe, where you get to dictate when you open and close. Attached screenshots of different sources that make the operating hours clear. Third, I was able to snag the very last qwa-san (croissant) along with a few mini qwan-sans (croissants). Below expectations and mid. No anything I had in Europe. I may return to try the jambon beurre, but I may just go to my usual L'appartement 4F for the jambon fromage instead.

Adorbs & tre French. Lots to love & savor & so many temping treats that feel so authentically French. Haven't been this excited since the Tin Building, plus charming French baker. I wanted one of everything but I came for the Petite baguette and at $3.81 it's a Manhattan deal. Lovely spot.

Mango, blueberry, avocado, lemon - you name it, they somehow turned it into the cutest, most beautifully crafted pastry. Everything looked almost too pretty to eat... almost. We definitely tried more things than we probably needed to, but it was 100% worth it. The pastries weren't just beautiful either--they were genuinely delicious. We also tried a couple of their specialty lattes, which were really tasty and paired perfectly with all of the desserts. It was VERY busy when we visited, so definitely expect a crowd, but I completely understand the hype. The space is beautiful, the pastry cases are basically works of art, and there are so many things you'll want to try that it's almost impossible to choose. Honestly, this place would be dangerous if I lived nearby because I would be here WAY too often. Absolutely worth a visit, especially if you love pastries and desserts!

The new drink edition that just been launched (Flatiron location only) is -86 degrees Celcius Dirty is amazing. The cup came out from the freezer and then the coffee and milk were poured into it. If you can drink it in 1 minute, you unlock the ice cream in it. Every dessert felt like a little work of art. The presentation is exquisite, but what stayed with me most was the taste. The flavors are delicate, beautifully balanced, and clearly created with so much thought and care. Absolutely phenomenal from presentation to the very last bite.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

The peppery, thick bacon and the quite sweet, icing-topped cruller are a beautiful study in contrasts. The egg was nicely runny. I will say that's it's definitely not a good on-the-go sandwich, as it falls apart easily. However, I don't think this is a great spot for coffee. I was a bit underwhelmed by my latte, which tasted more like thin drip coffee than a rich, strong espresso. I also think they could offer more sweetener options.

The Almond Croissant (7/10) had an amazing flaky crust, dense interior, and crispy almonds on top. Honestly, probably the best almond croissant I've had texture-wise, but I'm not a huge fan of almond paste in the middle, which is probably just because I'm not really an almond croissant person. The Cardamom Bun (8.5/10) was the best cardamom bun I've ever had!! The bread was super soft and pillowy, almost like a dinner roll, but the outside was caramelized and had so much cardamom flavor. It was perfectly sweet and I could genuinely eat so many of these. This one made me love cardamom buns, and I'm not sure if any others will top it. Vibes were a 9.5/10.
