This year, though when I was placing my order, I was excited to see that the delivery fee would be waived, presumably because I was spending $140 on a bunch of fruit. But when I went to check out, it said that the delivery couldn't be free in Hawaii so I had to pay a delivery fee as well as an extra $25 Hawaii surcharge and then when I dared to see what that total was, it said how much do you want to tip? I'm a huge dipper. I love tipping culture. I used to work in the service industry so I get it, but this just sent me off the edge. Is there a way to give this place NO stars? I really wish i could because they really didn't deserve one star. I spent $100+ on an arrangement with A balloon added only to follow after a really shitty delivery which you pay $10.00. The arrangement itself is already so expensive, the least they could do is make sure the delivery is smooth. My bestfriend just gave birth and so i decided to send an arrangement to her. Being that it was my first time using Edible Arrangements, I checked with Kapiolani Hospital to make sure i knew what the policy was for having gifts delivered since Security will not let any visitors that arent on the patients list, to the room. Security informed me that they would just call the recipient to have them pick it up or it would be delivered to the room. To make this process convenient for the new parents, i specified in my delivery instructions to call the recipient upon arriving to the hospitals main lobby so they could personally receive the arrangement. Long story short, the driver of the arrangement DID not call my friend, the recipient, so it's been at the Security post the entire time. I would say almost 1 hour. Which means she didnt get to enjoy cold, fresh fruit. I called Edible arrangement to confirm the delivery to which they stated it was left at security post. I expressed my concern on what the point was of having to put a delivery instruction if it wasnt going to be followed. The person who answered my call said they dont make any calls to the recipient when at a hospital or hotel. Security or whoever takes it is supposed to take care of it. While that may make sense to an extent, the driver should still follow directions to make sure there is a proper handoff to the person it belongs too. read more

The website was very easy to navigate, pricing was reasonable and they do SAME DAY DELIVERY on many items! I put in my order at 11:09am and it was delivered at 12:30pm! Now please understand that what I ordered was small and this person lives in town, but wow! I ordered the 'Sweetest Platter Alive' which comes with assorted cookies, mini cheesecakes, and chocolate covered fruits. *sidenote: when I received the Delivery Confirmation email, it came with a photo of the person holding the arrangement. Someone bought me this, so I have no idea what it cost. Upon picking it up there was nobody in sight at the store front. I said "HELLO" several times. No reply. I knocked on the counter several times. Nothing. Finally I went behind the counter, and told two girls there I needed to pick something up. The arrangement is fine. Its just not my thing. It'd be impressive to bring to a potluck or something like that where people can just eat fruit off the arrangement. People had better eat it fast because its not possible to really keep it cool the way its arranged. For me I had the added work of transferring the fruit to plastic containers immediately upon going home. Its definitely gimmicky. The store needs to tell employees that someone needs to be in the front of the store at all times, or have a bell. read more

Celebrating Birthdays are a pretty big deal for me so when my girlfriend moved to Hawaii this past year I still wanted to celebrate her somehow. So I searched online for flowers and balloons which led me to EdIble Arrangements. Edible Arrangements has awful reviews in SOCal so I was hesitant at first but with limited options and it being a bit last minute, I went ahead and decided to give them a try. They have lots of options! Their popularly is known for their cute fruit design and chocolate strawberries so I went ahead and choose a large Hello Kitty Fruit bouquet and added flowers plus balloons. The cost was about $150.00. There's much cheaper online for the fraction of the cost but much small in size or less add on's. So every placing the order online I received an instant confirmation which confirmed the drop off date, location and time. The following day I received a call from an unidentifiable number which turned out to be Edible Arrangements. They called me to let me know my order had been fulfilled and will be on the way to drop off the gifts. Shortly after I received a call from my girlfriend who received the gifts. She absolutely loved it and after sharing the pictures with me I have to admit it was better than what I expected. She went on to add that the fruit was fresh, chocolate covered strawberries were delicious and that they even threw in extra balloons at no charge. Got a beautiful fruit platter. Perfect for the family Thanksgiving dinner. But the kids noticed had bug holes on the chocolate dipped green apples. Wow you're right. Until I seen all of them. Somebody ordered me a delivery as a gift. Delivery driver came by when I wasn't home...... would not come back again and I had to go to the store to pick up. Store hours were wrong online so had to wait for an hour for store to open up...... after they opened was told that my platter 'had melted,' and I have to wait 10 more minutes for it to 'reset.' Truth be told, edible arrangements has saved my ass twice. Woke up, realized it was my parents anniversary and I had a full day at work. What to do? Call old faithful.. edible arrangements. Got a box of chocolate covered strawberries delivered only 3 hours after ordering online. It's expensive.. was even more with the last min same day charge, but it was worth it to know my mama got something on her anniversary. I recommend the strawberries I feel like they are the best deal. Not sure what they put in there fruit.. like for real... it's the sweetest fruit of all time.. but it's always good and they always are quick and efficient. Let me state I'm only giving 4 stars because I don't want to base one incident for an overall experience. I've both been the recipient and sender for ER and have never had an issue and they've always tasted great. Imagine my disappointment after my son sent me an ER and the fruit was not even close to being ripe but instead very sour. If this had been my first arrangement I would not order ever again since this particular locations does not represent the brand well. In fact I'm surprised they would even serve fruit that wasn't ripe and unsweetened. So far I've ordered an edible arrangement twice. Both times were sent to my grandfather. He loved it each time. I never actually got to see the arrangement before he started eating it because he doesn't know how to use a camera.. But on both occasions he told me that it came out nice and the fruit are always fresh and ready to eat. There are different sizes to each arrangement (small or large). I honestly just make a phone order and tell them how much I want to spend and then they just give me an arrangement depending on the season/holiday. My 1st time ever ordering from here and it was a great experience, I did my research and looked on here and saw that everyone had different reviews and I read the good and bad and decided to look at what I really wanted to order at the best price online and then call and place my order. Ana the manager was awesome and was training Kiera and told me she was training her and I was learning too, and it went well of course training takes a little while and I had time, you can also walk in and do an order, I asked if I could come by and see it when they were done and I went on over. Cute little store, nice and clean, they wasn't ready with my order but its OK, I waited a little and Ana gave me a complimentary chocolate dipped strawberry, super sweet of her, then the beautiful creation came out and it looked awesome, I asked her what is the truffles made out of and she said it was pineapple and chocolate, and it was amazing, yummerz, I'm getting that for myself next time. They deliver for free over $50 and have other in store discounts as well. I looked at all the different arrangements in the books and you can custom it as well, they were very patient with me and super super nice, the fruits I chose was definitely in season and they looked super super fresh and so so cute, I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely order again. Utter and complete fail. My girlfriend tried to surprise me for Valentine's Day by ordering (and paying for) an Edible Arrangements delivery, a good 11 days before Valentine's Day. It never showed up. She was confused and upset why I didn't call her to tell her how happy and surprised I was to receive something special for Valentine's. I got home and she was so upset she was in tears. She had spent over $80 for something that never arrived. Seeing her upset got me mad and I then called Edible Arrangements to complain. A customer service agent answered the phone, was polite, and explained that they were really busy and couldn't get all their deliveries done in time. So, let me get this straight, easily the busiest day of the year, and what? They didn't anticipate the business? They didn't have enough employees working that day? Not good enough, Edible Arrangements. I was asked if I would accept the delivery a day later, and with a refund of the delivery charge. I said, "No, I don't want this product any more, it never showed up and I don't want a Valentine's Day bouquet the day AFTER." She puts me on hold. So I'm on hold, and of course, there's constant advertisements about Edible Arrangements, many of them excitedly stating how to have "The Best Valentine's Day Ever" (their words) and the irony was not lost on me. After being on hold for a few minutes, I get hung up on. I called back no less than 10x only to hear that their office is now closed. I left a detailed and angry message on their machine, demanding a manager to return my call and to make this right. That phone call never came. I called back the next morning close to noon as I thought I would give the manager enough time to nut up and call me. I did speak with another polite customer service agent who was able to resolve my complaint by issuing a full refund to my girlfriend for the product they never delivered. It's a shame I had to be forceful but I'll be godamned if this business is going to take my girlfriend's money and not do what was promised. We will likely never use Edible Arrangements again. If you've managed to read this far, I placed an order with Watanabe Flowers the week before Valentine's and had a full bouquet of beautiful flowers delivered promptly. Do yourself a favor, FUCK Edible Arrangements and get your Significant Other some flowers. They'll actually arrive on time and will make your S.O. happy. read more

Yelp Challenge 365 # 150/365 At this writing there are 5 reviews and I am #6. I've read each review as I was curious to the 3 star rating compared to the 4 star rating of the Bishop Street location. I have used this location a number of times now after my 2 time experience with the Bishop street location. That said, I share my experiences with you. First and with the exception of 1 time, I've always placed my orders through the internet. The 1 exception was my impulsive stop at the store trying to get an arrangement without a pre order. I was asked if I could wait 30 minutes and if so, they could do it. and they did it well. All orders made through the internet was done and delivered with no glitches. In fact, if there was a question to my order, they called me to make sure they will do it correct. As to their delivery process? Nope! no problems yet They are pricey as with all the EA locations. I believe Manoa location takes the extra step by contacting me to confirm they understand my order. Great bouquet and great gift. Any establishment that serves food on a stick does not normally get a prop for the classiest place. This is no exception. There is one reason why I come here-presentation. I'm in the kind of business where you have to bring goodies into a client's office as a way of schmoozing. My clients are always complaining that I bring them fatty cakes, cookies and ice cream. Fruit salad is a great compromise-it's sweet and good for you. I don't know anyone that would argue with fruit salad, but my problem is the presentation that fruit salads come in. I would NEVER give my clients fruit salad served in a cheap plastic container from a grocery store. It's just not presentable. TACKY! This is where Edible Arrangements comes in. There's some many different ordering options. They have a full arsenal of fruit that can be mixed, matched and chocolate dipped. The fruit is fresh and in season, so don't worry about the quality. Custom orders are usually ready in less than an hour. Prices range from $25 to $250+ depending on what you get. (Yes, $250 is a lot for fruit, but I'm sure you get a obscene amount of fruit for that price.)The store is clean and the staff is very accommodating. Tell them how many you are feeding and they will recommend an arrangement. I think there's a few locations on the Island, but this is the only one I've visited cuz it's close to my hood. Oh, this place is also a franchise for all you fruit salad crazy entrepreneurs out there, yo! I'm sure there's many occasions you could use this for. Been using Yelp for years but first time writing a review. I figure I'd only really write something if it was really good or really BAD, and this people, was BAD. (Don't worry, I have a really good one too for another company to balance out the scales). Bf ordered me an edible arrangement for Valentine's day. Valentine's day came and went... no delivery, no explanation why. We double-checked the order -- information was all correct including contact and delivery info. Bf complains and is asking for a refund; in the meantime, the delivery shows up today, the day after Valentine's. Delivery guy offers no explanation or apology, just a half-hearted suggestion that a refund will be given only after I question him about it. If you want to order something special to your special someone on Valentine's Day, stay clear of Edible Arrangements. As much as I love food over flowers, just stick with flowers. read more
