This place is great. Good food, nice service, and cute atmosphere. I had eggs florentine and they were very tasty. The potatoes were served with peppers and onions which I liked, but I think they should tell customers, as this makes for a different breakfast potato experience. I will be returning! read more

Waited a long time for this local cafe to open. We have been there several times since they opened late in the summer and it just keeps getting better. There have been a couple of times when we had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but it is a small venue and not surprising that there is a wait on a weekend morning. The service has always been friendly and helpful. When there was a longer wait for the food our server explained what seemed to be growing pains whenever you open a new business. We have had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Cafe and have never been unhappy with our food. For those who tried it early on, give it another chance. You won't be disappointed! read more

This is my first time eating here and I heard the food was great! I came here for breakfast with my girlfriend and yea... The service was HORRIBLE. We got sat and our waitress took our order. We ordered a omelette and a French toast, and we waited 35 minutes for our food. Finally our waitress came up to us and let us know she forget to put our order in. She also didn't ask us if we wanted a refill on our drinks ( both our drinks were empty ). About 15 minutes later we got food from a different waitress and our refill from another waitress. No one asked us if our food was good or anything at all. However the food was good.... Won't be returning. read more

I was hoping this place would have a more creative menu but nothing different than your local greasy spoon diner. Ordered the smoked salmon platter salad and the lettuce was brown and wilted. Ended up picking everything off of it and making my own dish. Service was fine, but servers could be a little more hygienic when in the dining room (running fingers through their hair, touching face) and no one bothered to ask how are meal was. Don't think I'll be back!! read more

I am here now with my wife and kids. We have been waiting 30 min for two tuna melts and one short stack of French toast. This is my first and last visit. read more

Great breakfast place if you want a platter. Not much else in yardley is open early, and serves a full breakfast meal. This place opens at 6, friendly service, good food, eggs pancakes meat, etc. All for 7.25 pretty reasonable. Definitely as good as Denny's which is a trek away in langhorne, with more small town atmosphere. read more

Favorite breakfast/brunch spot in the area. Food is good, staff is good, wait is never long even if its very crowded. Definitely recommend the cream chipped beef! read more

After waiting for months for this place to open, I have tried it twice and walked out both times. The first time 2 weeks ago when there were so many people waiting for tables my wife and I could not even get into the door. I tired it agin on Friday when I was able to go later in the morning but before lunch, thinking it wouldn't be as crowded. I was wrong. It was very busy but not so much with customers as it was from an obvious lack of organization. I sat at the counter, thinking it might be faster. Unfortunately, the area available for me to sit was cluttered with "to go" containers and people who seemed to be trying to pay there bill. There were 4-5 employees all cluttered around trying to resolve who got what and some poor woman who was trying to get her coffee to go, with no supply of sugar or half and half after she finally got it. After 10 minutes of waiting and watching what looked like an old three stooges movie...not to mention a single waiter or waitress even making eye contact, I walked out. I'll never go back. Too bad. We need another good breakfast place in Yardley. read more

The Breakfast is good. I have gone there 3 x's but everytime I go I am reminded that service is very slow & when you have a toddler that doesn't work. If it was just me and my husband I would come back but with a child and the slow service it's not worth it to me. read more

Not crazy about this place. We seem to have mixed experiences here, with both the food and service. They do have a variety of moderately priced breakfast and lunch items. I can never figure out how there hours work though, because sometimes I drive by when they're supposed to be open, and they are completely closed. read more

I enjoyed their turkey, bacon, Swiss and tomato sandwich. Their pulled pork BBQ needed more sauce but was good too. Service was slow but maybe because of short staffed. Guy with piercings was great. Had a sense of humor. read more

First time eating here with friends. The stuffed French toast was absolutely delicious (my friend shared). I got the Greek omelet and it was cooked to perfection. The service was fast and friendly and you can't beat the price. Good amount of parking. Cute atmosphere. read more

We have found our new go to place for breakfast in the area, after passing the place countless times we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed the food and service were great! read more

Another breakfast meeting and they seem to be doing ok. Omelets were fine and service good. Only took them a year to get their act together. read more

So I'm gonna give this place five stars. One its in the middle of like no offense, first world problems pa. And I say that with love. But this place is awesome. Really good food for the prices, I live in center city and I can't get this kind of quality food and service for these prices. But haha in Yardley pa you expect that. So Edgewood cafe I will give you those five stars because I think you guys do amazing compared to a lot of other places! Your tuna melts are great! French fries are out of this world! And since my friend and I were nice to our servers it seems like we got really fast awesome service! So keep it up!!! read more

Best breakfast place in the area. Excellent food with real home fries. Worth the wait

Great local eating spot. Like a diner, or the closest thing Yardley has to a diner. Love eating breakfast here. Wish they had a bigger space! All around great local place. read more

Nice breakfast spot with a friendly, environment. Food is good and service is fast. I go here often and I never leave disappointed.

Went there for the first time last weekend. Eggs and turkey sausage were very good. Only thing is if you like crispy hashbrowns you won't get them here. Otherwise it was good food and good service. read more

We had a bad experience with food spilled on us. The server was apologetic in only the most minimal sense. Sure, she said sorry, but she had no empathy for someone who had full plate of food land on them. I am not holding my breath for any improvement given the server is the owner's daughter. read more

Great neighborhood breakfast! Friendly people, intimate dining area and more interesting food than just eggs & bacon! Portions are large and plated appetizingly. Better than most coffee too. read more

Went for lunch with a friend and had a good meal. There was a long wait so we sat at the counter. They had only been open 3 weeks. I think this is gonna be a nice place to go when thay have been open a while. Everyone that I spoke to there had just come back from vacation, Give them a chance...lots of inexperienced help but food very good and fresh. Just wish the waitress at the counter did not have to join in my conversation with my friend multiple times. I think by October this place will be a great place to go for casual dining. Give them another chance everyone..I am! Love the mom and pop businesses in our area. read more

This place is soooo cute.... But the service was sub par and the food was ok at best. The servers didn't great us just brought out water and asked if we were ready to order after that she didn't come to the table again. Also we didn't have silverware we had to go to the bar and ask. My food was warm-cold when it came out and wasn't anything to brag about. read more

Great food. Slow service. My husband and I went for lunch. My reuben was perfect - piping hot inside and crispy outside. The staff was friendly, but every table was full and there were two people covering the whole room. Not their fault, but they couldnt keep up. I got a glass of water when we sat down - by the time she came around to refill it, we were done with our lunch. read more

The food is generally good, especially their breakfast menu. I had lunch there today and the owner/manager served us, so I was surprised to see she was comfortable serving a sandwich that didn't have the chips and pickle on the side, as described on the menu and that looked like is was cut in half with a chainsaw (it was a club, but the bread was torn apart so that the sandwich had to be eaten with a knife and fork). I'll likely go back, but The Great American Diner about four miles down 95 is a better option (albeit not as quaint). read more

Had breakfast for Father's Day here with my husband, toddler, and I. We got there and ended up first on their wait list and got to watch tables sit vacant and dirty for a bit before being cleaned. We just moved from Hatboro and are used to the incredible service at Daddypops where tables are changed over very quickly by the much older waitstaff. The younger waitstaff here seemed to not know what they were doing at times. So, we got our table and they took our drink and breakfast order quickly. Breakfast was a bit greasy but decent. After they had set breakfast on the table though, they never came back. No water refills, offers of more coffee, not even to see if we were done! I had to go to the counter and ask for a box and the check. This was especially vexing because we were at a seat right by the counter! I am not sure if we will be back. Another ten mins north and we can go to Mosch and Itztys (I think that's the name) in Newtown which was phenomenal in good and service. read more

Had the Farmer's omelette. Very good with nice portion size. Service good. I'll be back again.

My husband and I love this place! It tends to get a bit crowded on weekends, you can expect a wait but its worth it. The food is great along with the staff members. The establishment itself is cozy and clean. My kids love it here too! read more

I had breakfast/lunch there with a friend just yesterday. I loved the food and would go back, but I agree that things seemed a little disorganized. We seated ourselves at the counter - I didn't want to wait for a table. I think there's too much booth seating and this will be a problem for the cold weather when the outdoor seating is no longer available for the overflow. I understand that all the waitstaff pools tips so there's no incentive for one to be sharper or more efficient than the other - that may account for the slowness of service. No incentive to hustle. Has the feel of a family owned, family-run business that needs some organization. But I totally disagree with the reviewers who say the food isn't that good. You guys don't know good comfort food. My companion and I had excellent food. I love some the items on the lunch and dinner menu and I definitely will go back to keep trying them all. I had a perfect porkroll and cheese sandwich. I mean PERFECT. Cooked thin and crispy with great pepper cheese and drizzled onions. I asked for the drizzeled onions, they weren't on the menu description, and I'm really glad I did. They added a wonderful touch to the sandwich. And my bun was perfect, too. So much better than the standard "hard roll." Only missing dill pickles, but hey... I can't wait to taste the meatloaf and the chicken pot pie...cold weather comfort food extraordinnaire. I'm rooting for this one. read more

We loved Edgewood Café! It's a very small restaurant and you may have to wait a bit to be seated, but the turnaround seemed pretty quick. I've only had the breakfast there, but each time it was pretty good and the prices are very reasonable. The wait staff were also very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely keep going back. read more

First off I want to say this was my first time coming here and I loved it, I mean the pancakes taste like heaven it came out so fast all the workers are so nice and the food smells amazing. I could go on and on and on about everything that makes this place amazing but I've only been here once so I won't, but I will definitely come back to this cafe again. read more

I am came across this cafe after leaving a local pumpkin patch, I was impressed with my overall experience. We were greeted and seated right away by the owner. We chose to sit at the counter. The serving staff was all friendly and all work together well. Their was a bunch of interesting items on the menu. I asked our waitress what she recommended and she told me that the farmhouse chicken was good and it turned out to be amazing. When the owner Sharon came by to ask me how my meal was I said it was good. I told her that we would be back and she recommended their new creation the " Delaney dilemma" I will gladly try that on my next visit. The owner Sharon was an attractive women whose appearance and personality definitely transpired into the atmosphere and decor. read more

Let me start by saying I have NEVER written a bad review ever for anything. I have been here a few times and it's been okay. Today however was horrible. We ordered two simple breakfasts, two eggs over easy and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. After 25 minutes our breakfast comes and looks like pure slop and what was leftover at the end of their shift. My sons eggs were so overdone not even edible. Mine was equally as overdone but I ate it. After me getting up and going to ask our waiter for new eggs since he has not even once returned to our table to refill any beverage or ask how things were. It takes another ten minutes for our food to arrive so as we sit there with all cold foul food the other waiter on brought us our check and said rudely your total is on the back. To which I said my son still has not received his breakfast to which he said OH. I will not be returning here EVER. I'm literally sitting in the restaurant writing this as we sit here still with empty drinks. Disgusting and inexcusable! read more

Much to my chagrin I had the (dis) pleasure of visiting this cafe again over the weekend. Unfortunately, my in-laws insisted on giving it a try regardless of my initial review. This visit was pretty much on par with my first review. Except we left without actually eating! I have no idea how breakfast can take so long considering the place is not that big! I also have no idea why everyone looks so unhappy working here! If must be family and friends of the owner because I have never been to a restaurant that would allow this kind of complacency or appearance of unhappiness. All was not lost though.. we had a great Sunday breakfast at cafe chorba in morrisville. Similar to edgewood cafe in both size and appearance but, light years ahead of them for service and food. Delicious hidden gem and will definitely go back! read more

Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to eat here. Service is super slow and God forbid they check back on you. An hour and a half for 2 people for lunch. The food is ok. read more

Service is horrific. I mean the owner should clean house! Food is ok but not great. They messed up my son's order after we waited so long ! I would not return here:( read more

The home fries are some of the best I've had, and the staff are super friendly. More important to us, though, was the speediness with which they brought out my toddler's pancakes (seriously maybe 5 minutes from when we sat down), and the quick--but not rushed--service we experienced thereafter. This will be a regular spot for us, for sure! read more

I'm not sure which place the other reviewers are going, but I had breakfast here this morning and it was OUTSTANDING! We were seated immediately and the food came out shortly thereafter. French toast and home fries were delicious. Best breakfast I have had in the area by far, and I have lived here for 30 years. Reasonably priced as well. If you are looking for some whoopdeedo ambience this place probably isn't it, however it was clean and had a 'warm' feeling to it. If you want ambience for breakfast go to New Hope or Lahaska and pay three times as much. A big thumbs up to the Edgewood Cafe! Will return for years to come! read more

Good morning, I usually don't complain about being waited on at all. Unfortunately, I was not waited on at this restaurant. The food was cold by the time it got to the table. All tables that were open were dirty when we first arrived but they told us to take a seat anyway. Tables did not have any silverware or condiments. I ordered French toast and there was no syrup. When asked for syrup, the waiter said he would bring it out but we never saw him again. I asked for a milk at the beginning of the dining experience but never received it. After being there for over 30 minutes, we were never asked if we needed anything else, and never got out check until going up to ask for it. The waiter's response was "my bad". There were no smiling faces or friendly words when dining at this restaurant. This is about the third time I have been to this restaurant and the service has been consistently lacking. After three tries, I have definitely made the decision to never come back which is a shame because it is conveniently located near me. I wish I could give 0 stars. read more

Good but not great. Met friends for dinner last week. Tried the chicken sandwich which was tasty. A bit slow considering that there was only one other table. Next time I'm going for breakfast. read more
