Recently moved to the area and red the reviews about this local restaurant, so had to check it out. Pleasantly surprised the food was great. Gave it a 4 star because didn't like that we had to place our order like we were at McDonalds. Not fancy but fancy enough to have a waitress. Everything was self service, takes the personality out of a place. But if I was just rating food. It would be 4.5. Customer service has gone into the toilet at this place. Update your online ordering to allow for extra charges. Not fair to the customer to expect them to pay extra cents at time of picking up food when they have paid in full online. read more

So i ordered from the new location in Buellton, they dont have a page to review yet. So we ordered our food to go and was waiting for it. They gave our bag to a different customer, that customer went thru it to check if it was correct and it wasn't her order. The cashier and the customer continued to look thru multiple bags trying to figure out which order was hers. Then they tried to give us the bag that was already touched by multiple people. The manager said he would remake our order. We watched as they pretended to remake it and just handed us the same bag... during a pandemic. Two stars because they were nice at first. read more

This is a great place to have burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads! Fries are good when they're made the right way. It's usually a hit or miss because they've overdone them many times for me. Definitely come on a Wednesday because they have a deal called " Wheels Up Wednesday" from 3pm-9pm where you buy an item/meal and you get another for 50% off of equal value. It's a good deal but the reason I'm not giving that extra star is because it used to be buy one item/meal and get another one free. Now they changed to just half off. Still good though. I've been in here a couple of times and I've always seemed to enjoy the food, but today I will comment on the Pesto Chicken sandwich, this is a bad week for me to go eating because I'm starting a diet, but I figured this sandwich won't be too bad. It was on a sour toasted dough bread, pesta, Greek cheese red onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, it was such a great sandwich. It like melted in your mouth. The beauty of the store lined with local automobiles on the wall is a good nostalgic feeling, the bathrooms are extra clean, and the customer service is great! But the only downfall I have is when you pay at the front before you receive your food the tab asks how much of a tip do you want to give them. That totally blows my mind, that could cost them 2 stars because it's on your mind while your eating, good thing my mind was on my jobs incompetent management, another story. But I did enjoy the meal and the atmosphere, but didn't like how they wanted a tip before you sat down, hopefully they can change that practice. read more

I have lived on the central coast, on and off, for nearly 2 years and I seriously regret not having visited Eddie's sooner. I ordered a Charbroiled Burger and upgraded to a meal which included onion rings and a fountain drink. Even with a 15% tip, I don't believe I paid more than $10. Everything was fresh. A burger, as simple as it is, can be made absolutely horrendous. Make it fresh is all I ask. I came in about an hour after they opened, so around 11am. After I ordered, the place started to pack with the lunch crowd. They have a large clean dining area. I got my food out decently fast and was super satisfied. Deff will take the fam out next time we feel like burgers. read more

A "staple of the community" Eddie's Grill is THE PLACE! We only had a short wait and the staff looked after us. Friendly, and efficient they made us feel very welcome.Very, very good food - but not too much to pay for food this good. So here is my story about Eddie's. I hurried into this place, 10 minutes before they closed, because another restaurant (My CK Wings) decided they want to be closed on Monday nights but not let anyone on yelp know about it (I drove 30 minutes from Solvang to discover that one). Anyhow, it's 10 minutes to closing time, and I expect to be turned away from Eddie's, but I was pleasantly greeted by Julie behind the counter. She took my order, and then offered to let me eat in the restaurant when I said I would just take the order to go. Wow! Such great service! Then there was the food. Delicious stuff. I had a patty melt that was to die for. Two types of cheese, a perfectly cooked beef patty, grilled onions, and tomato all between two perfectly toasted slices of bread that were not too thick and not too thin. My friend had a Good Earth meatless burger. I don't do the meatless thing, but I tried a bite. It was so good that I may just decide to go vegetarian. It was a tempeh patty, thousand island dressing, tomato, red onion, cheese (I think) and so on, served on a soft whole wheat bun. Needless to say, this place knocked my socks off. This place is a pretty good restaurant and is family friendly. It's loud enough to not worry if you have a little one making noise. Lots of TVs to look at and keep them busy. The service is friendly and fast. They have those Coke machines with tons of options. The food is usually pretty good. We've also tried the dessert which I thought was pretty tasty. read more

Black beans, jicama, corn, salad greens, avocado, green & red bell pepper, in a giant tostada shell, dressing on the side. Great value, perfect for hubby and me for lunch. I had asked for red, but no green bell pepper. The cook came out from the kitchen to ask if it would be ok if he picked out all the green pepper he could which might leave a bit of green. Menu is simple (burgers, salads, fries, onion rings, shakes, soft drinks....) and the food is really good and there is lots of it! Burgers are large and juicy and the onion rings... YUM!!! I had a bad experience with one waitress one time, but Carlos made it all better by providing us with excellent combo meals at my next visit. The waitress, I am sure, was just having a bad day. My husband ordered me dinner through doordash, and we didn't receive small pieces of our order. I tried calling the Lompoc restaurant, and no/busy signal for 15 mins. So I called the Buellton store. The owner jumped on the call and told me it was doordash's fault as they sell the food to them and doordash sells them to us as a third party. So they aren't responsible for the way the order arrives as it was sold through a third party. Told me I could drive down and he will call them and tell them I was need our sides. Umm shouldn't they have been in there in the first place?! "It's the dashers responsibility to check the order". Ummm isn't it your responsibility to make sure the order is complete and all there?! I actually appreciate that my order wasn't man handled to look through with hands that aren't food safe after touching many other things such as their phone, door handles, steering wheel. I needed a quick bite to eat while I was in Lompoc. I ended up going to Eddie's grill. I had the BLAT sandwich and it was delicious. I'm kind of picky about BLTs in general but these guys make a great one. I believe they covered the sourdough with a little bit of butter and then grilled it. Anyway it was very good and I wish I had bought another to take with me. It's a nice little place and it's clean and relaxing and easy. Tasty. Don't forget a shake. We were spending one night in Lompoc and were looking for a dog-friendly restaurant -unfortunately Yelp got that wrong. Good news is that the walk from the motel was quick and everything was available for take-out. We got the Santa Barbara Cobb and a Chicken Pesto sandwich. Both were fresh and tasty. Good portions, good service. And we got a Cookies and Cream shake and a Mocha shake. Real ice cream and great flavor, with a healthy topping of whipped cream. Woo hoo is right! I always get the Santa Barbara burger and the kids get all sorts of burgers. We've had a variety of burgers from the menu and nobody has ever been anything other than completely pleased. From recent discussions I've seen on Facebook, I'm anxious to try to Cobb salad. I never considered them for salads but lots of people were responding to a question about where to find a good salad and it seems like Eddie's Grill is the best place in town for salads and that the Cobb is the salad of choice. Mmmmmmm... It's a great, casual place and it's fun to be there. I'm starting to salivate as I sit here writing, and that's probably the most impactful thing I can say in this recommendation. Unfortunately this business has gone down hill. I supported them during Covid. Now we have been twice recently once inside and waited over 25min for our food because the focus was on online and to go orders. What about the people that drive to your restaurant? If your short staffed don't do online. Last night I called in for to go and waited again over 10 min to pick up my food that was sitting on the counter. Due to the fact that there was only 2 ladies working the counter and one of them was also running orders to tables. There appeared to be two other ladies that were just standing watching the cooks.
