I booked Marcos for the last appointment of the day and walked in and he took care of it. Absolutely love this place. It has been my go to barber shop for almost two years now. The ambiance has a very minimalist aesthetic vibe which I love. I absolutely ADORE my barber Gina. She is so kind, she makes sure you are comfortable while getting your haircut, and she always makes your hair look very good. Highly recommend her to cut your hair. Great place! My son's hair is really challenging with his unmanageable afro but Alex did a great job and my son is really happy. It was a last minute appointment we made online because our original destination was closed. We were able to find parking right away and even though we were a little bit early for his appointment they took him in quickly. Communication is NOT key here, so I suggest you double check your appointment before going especially when you reserve a "kids" haircut. My husband and daughter are frequent customers so I was happy when I saw a stylist available in the evening, as my daughter desperately needed a haircut. Upon arriving, there were 2 stylists and 2 customers at the salon. Both stylists looked at me and my daughter with stunned faces. No greeting, just stunned faces. I proceeded to let them know their next appointment was here and it was my daughter (hence, the "kids" haircut appointment booked online). The stylist we booked immediately said he doesn't do girl haircuts and apologized. This would have been fine, as I would then suggest that you update your system with gender limitation for kids or even adults. But the part that upset me the most was that the other stylist started laughing at the situation (in front of the customers), which made an already frustrating situation extremely disrespectful. read more

$45 for a men's haircut but it's definitely worth it. Eddie had a chair in a shared salon. When you get there he'll talk you through on what you want. Afterwards he'll direct you over to the wash bin to wash your hair. After drying your hair, you're back in the salon chair to get your haircut. Oh my asian excellence...Went in on a Wednesday booked online one hour before with Lance. He was so friendly and nice and I felt so comfortable in there. It was such a relaxing atmosphere and Lance will pay attention to the absolutely tiniest detail. He washed my hair twice once before and once after which I love because I was not itchy after. I have been to Sports Clips, Super Cuts, Floyds 99, and other barber shops and this is by far the very best. No one understands how to cut asian straight black hair but Lance did it extremely well, I never looked better. 40$ +6$ tip which was well deserved. read more

Had an appointment scheduled here for 11:00am. After confirming my appointment via text I was received two frantic voicemails the morning of the appointment reminding me that I was scheduled for 11:00am. At 10:45am as I'm walking up to the building I receive a curt text that reads, "You know you're scheduled for 11:00am. Are you on your way?". I immediately responded that, yes, I'm on my way, then get "It's 11:00am. You need to reschedule". I'm literally steps from the salon and, to be exact, it's still 10:54. At that point, I decided that this place isn't for me. Look. I get that some customers are flakes, but - good God - maybe give a first time visitor a chance before you devolve into a paranoid maniac about appointment times. I'm very punctual and a great tipper, so really it's your loss. Maybe if the whole hair styling thing doesn't work out, you could get a gig working the clock for an arena football team or something? read more

I've been looking for a stylist in Pasadena for quite some time. Eddie advertises as specializing in Asian hair, but I decided to give him a try anyway. I am really glad I did because he is great! 1) The time I reserved was actually the time that the hair appointment started. This is a big deal to me because I hate waiting 45+ minutes. So that was the first thing I noticed. 2) Eddie has a calm and attentive manner that immediately made me comfortable. He listened carefully to what I wanted and was willing to provide his professional opinion about what would work with my face shape, etc. 3) I have a great haircut. Eddie was meticulous, gentle, and focused as he cut my hair. I have wavy hair, which can be challenging, especially with a short cut. Each of them are meticulous craftsmen with excellent attention to detail. Many places I've tried seem to only care about getting you in and out of the chair as quickly as possible, but not here.
