My son needed a haircut I saw this place on maps and decided to give them a call. When I called and asked about the price Robert said $20 for a kids haircut and they had availability for the time I asked. The reason I'm giving it 3/5 is because 1. My son has never gotten cut this bad. What extremely got to me was the guy cutting his hair tried covering it up with my son's own sweater. When I confronted him he told me to put hand lotion on it!! 2. When it was time to pay they charged me $40. When I told them what Robert had told me over the phone they said they never charge $20 and that they probably misunderstood me. The actual haircut was a 7/10. What a great, new barbershop in Pasadena! I live close by and have been keeping an eye on their progress, and once i saw the sign go up that they were open, made an appointment to check it out. Staff is super friendly, and the vibe is going to be awesome once they put the finishing touches on a few things. Rumor is there is gonna be a sweet little bar in the corner! All that to say, got a fantastic cut, one of the most detailed I've had in some time. This isn't your run of the mill box stop haircut, they took the time to do numerous numbers for a more faded side and back, and a fantastic job with the top trim on my moppy, curly hair. First off, I would like to say congratulations Robert! Robert is my barber and owner of old town cuts. I've been going to Robert for the last two years while he was at another location and I have never looked for another barber since. Robert is quick and precise at cuts and is very welcoming. I can say the same about his barbershop, old town barbershop. It's clean, spacious, and adequate barbershop. All the barbers I met are very friendly and seem to always be on time. If you make an appointment, there is barely any waiting around. If you do wait, there's nice cold refreshments courtesy of the shop. I'm from out of town and needed a haircut last minute for a business trip. I got a big head of thick, curly hair and have a pretty specific haircut style so usually will always go to the same barber. I was a bit nervous going somewhere different but my barber was really great. He was very precise, patient, and attentive to detail. When he initially finished I noticed a dissymmetry and without saying anything he fixed it upon his own review. It was clear the barber knew what he was doing. On top of that the shop was very clean, both barbers were nice, and they offered refreshments to waiting customers.
