The cut Raffi gave me was one of, if not the very best cut I've ever had. You can tell he takes great pride in his work just like a great barber should. In LA you receive poor haircuts from many places. NEVER at Raffi D. It's the one barber that I can always rely on. Extremely professional and you can tell he really respects the art. What I also love about this place is the awesome membership packages they offer. I got myself the Executive membership that gets me a cut plus beard trim once a week at a very reasonable price. He gave me a 10/10 haircut last minute at the end of the night because I needed to spruce up for a wedding the following day. I've been a customer for a few years now and this yelp review is well deserved. I never thought I'd go to a men's hair studio to get a hair cut, but life takes its twists and turns. I ended up here on a whim a one day when my hair stylist couldn't book me. I needed an emergency blow dry, and Raffi took me in the same day. The salon itself is very private and comfortable. The TV is always on and the great thing about Raffi is, he's the only one working there. You get his full undivided attention-- always! He caters to your needs and does an excellent, thorough job. Not only that, but I feel like I have made a friend. He's so personable. His prices are very reasonable. I have nothing but good things to say. I've been going to this guy on-and-off for years, and believe me, every time I strayed, I regretted it -- and inevitably came back to him for the fix. Well, I'm not straying any more! If you're looking for a stylist who: 1) is an experienced and capable professional, 2) offers a reasonably priced menu, 3) can translate even the most vague and/or overly-ambitious hair-request into a cut that's actually attractive on you, and 4) provides friendly customer service ...then you have to give this guy a try, especially if you live in the area. Gentlemen, if you are looking for a new hairstylist to go to - Look no further! because Raffi is it! No more showing up at the shop, but then having to wait. The previous place i would go to, i would call ahead, only to be made to wait because of the line of people ahead. And then only to be rushed out of the chair so that they can rush the next person. First off, Raffi's booking system is great. It assures your time in advance (He will send you a text message confirming your appointment). There is plenty of parking outside, which is an absolute plus! Second, his shop is simple, but exactly what you need/want. No big waiting room with like 15 other people. Thanks to his booking system, there will be very few people (Or none at all!). Me personally, I cannot stand when there are a bunch of ppl next, watching/staring at you because they are getting impatient. Located in pasadena, his shop is on the 2nd floor. When you enter, he has a small waiting area (Again, me personally- I don't want to be waiting around with 10+ pp). Then in the next room is where he works his magic- in 1 chair! That's right, you heard me- one chair. no other stylists, no other people talking, no distractions. Which means the attention is focused on you and your needs! Lastly, and this is the most important part - Raffi listens! no more second guessing or awkward conversations with a stylist that doesn't listen to your requests or just doesn't take the time to listen. If you tell Raffi exactly what you want, then he will do exactly that.I walked out of his shop with the best haircut i've had in years! No more walking out unsatisfied or "eh, it's good enough...".
