I'm new to the Pasadena area and had been looking at many shops and landed on this one and I am glad I did. This passed the vibe, quality, and service checks. I showed up in the morning to see if Alex had availability and was able to book an appointment with him for later in the afternoon. I got to the shop and was promptly greeted and welcomed and was offered a beverage. They had some good music playing and at the right volume. Some other shops blast their music but this one was at a good level. This passed the vibe check. I was up for my cut and Alex asked what I wanted for a cut and as I explained he asked questions to ensure he understood what I wanted. Many barbers assume and this was not the case with Alex. He did a great job with the cut. He' also good at making conversation and checked with me often to ensure the cut was going where I wanted. This passed the quality and service check.
