I'm new to the Pasadena area and had been looking at many shops and landed on this one and I am glad I did. This passed the vibe, quality, and service checks. I showed up in the morning to see if Alex had availability and was able to book an appointment with him for later in the afternoon. I got to the shop and was promptly greeted and welcomed and was offered a beverage. They had some good music playing and at the right volume. Some other shops blast their music but this one was at a good level. This passed the vibe check. I was up for my cut and Alex asked what I wanted for a cut and as I explained he asked questions to ensure he understood what I wanted. Many barbers assume and this was not the case with Alex. He did a great job with the cut. He' also good at making conversation and checked with me often to ensure the cut was going where I wanted. This passed the quality and service check. Very sensitive to covid protocols. Guy just gets it. Haircut crisp and he asks if we're heading in the right direction along the way. Love this guy. Booked out a week or two on the weekend at least.
