Oops, I honestly thought I had left a review for this place. I absolutely love the level of professionalism that Ivan S. Handles with his business. If every barbershop would follow his business practice as an example I am sure they would be very successfully and have nothing but happy customers. Story time, So I decided to come here because my barber is no longer practicing as a hairstylist, therefore, I needed to find a new barber to do my hair. I am very particular as to who cuts my hair and how they cut it, price for me is not really an issue and I don't mind paying for quality. That being said I messaged him online and I was happy that he was able to respond promptly and fit me in at my requested appointment time. I CAN NOT BELIEVE I DIDNT HAVE TO WAIT OVER 15 MINUTES FOR AN APPOINTMENT. This man has such amazing time management skills that he will not keep his customer waiting for more than 5 mins. In a word: Incredible. I'm your typical Supercuts customer - never really understood the concept of paying more just for a haircut... until I met Ivan. From the moment I walked in I knew this would be a different sort of experience. Clean, organized, and classy. He is warm and personable and the appointment based schedule is great since he saw me immediately when I arrived. Ivan has an eye for detail, it seemed as though he used all the tools (high quality by the way) to get my cut just right. He even cut some stray hairs from my eyebrows (first time I've ever had a barber do that before). And of course, the straight razor and warm towel is a nice touch. Wow! Wow! Wow! I'm from Nashville and was in town for an event. I found Ivan at Barber Embassy here on Yelp and was able to get in for a same day appointment! I'm so glad I did. The shave and the experience were amazing. Ivan was great to talk to, his barber space, was really nice, and he's great at his craft. I've had 3 haircuts with Ivan over the last 8 months, and am ready to say he is the best barber I've had. The guy has great style sense, and a sharp eye for detail. He is humble, takes his time, and leaves you with a crisp cut that looks great the day of, and importantly, 6 weeks down the road. I am an actor and came to Ivan right before getting my latest set of headshots: THAT is trust! Ivan is also a genuine pro and a helluva good guy to spend half an hour with. Complementary cold beverage, shampoo after, clean razor for the back and a hot towel for your neck - he will even style your hair with an appropriate selection from his product mini-bar - that kind of thing. I pay $40 plus tip per cut (he may still do promo pricing for new clients). It's slightly more than I was used to paying, but I've come to realize he's worth every cent and then some. Came across Barber Embassy during a business trip in Pasadena. I searched the area for barbers and this one came up. Based on reviews at the time, I was sure that this would be safe. Little to my knowledge did I realize that this would be the BEST haircut I've had. Ivan for starters was very accommodating and attentive to detail. After showing him and telling him what I was looking to do, he went above and beyond. He was very amiable and friendly the entire time. There was no awkward silence or conversation. He definitely is passionate about his work which shows with his final product. Unfortunately, I don't have photos as proof, but he kindly asked to take photos of my hair before and after. I was walking by this new place in the building I work and noticed a pretty cool barber pole inside one of the small shops. The black and white barber pole was a great eye catcher, leading me to find Ivan and his tiny shop. I cannot stress how hard it is to find a barber that does head shaves, let alone one that does them well. He is meticulous when it comes to a fade and most men know that, that is one of the most important parts of a cut.
