I do believe this man can cut hair. However when I went to this area looking for a neighboring barbershop, Ron lied to me and said that I was at the right shop and that he was my barber when he obviously wasn't. He then said that my barber worked there and that he'd give him the money. Afew minutes later I figured I was at the wrong shop. Ron lied to me although I said I was looking for suite 105 and he was 107. He literally said he was suite 105 when he wasn't. Kinda weird. read more

I had went in to this shop with a hair emergency. I didn't necessarily plan on cutting my hair but due to the damage I decided to go to a shop. I stumbled across Ron's and I explained my hair issue and the fact that I wanted to start over and he delivered. He was an incredible barber and overall great person to be around. I was nervous but he took good care of me and made sure I left happy with my services. He is totally reasonable and professional. I show up about 10 minutes late due to traffic and he turns me down and proceeds to tell me has an appointment at 4:30. He only does appointments by the hour so this is also more bull. I've only been once, but I'm going back soon. I've mostly had my haircut by stylists, the last two I've had have been great. However, they are so expensive, I end up not getting my haircut that often. I usually end up dropping $70-80 including tip. I tried a barber in Eagle Rocks which was really cheap but they just wouldn't do anything that didn't look like I was on my way to Camp Pendleton. So, I thought I'd give TROY a try, and dang am I glad I did. He cut my hair the way I like it, and he charged me a reasonable fee. NOTE: They only take cash, so bring CASH. I dig the vibe. This may be the whitest sentence I'll ever write (and I'm a writer and golfer), but, here goes nothing: I felt like I was in an early Spike Lee movie. This was my first trip to Ron's this morning Troy and Ron where great I had a great time. When I showed up there was only two people in the shop. Troy took me when he was done with his customer. Troy was great had a great time talked about life and he is a good cut. I am very help with the service and I will be back for more of my cuts. And also, troy told me to just let him know when I am come to set a time. I love that. Communication is key for me due to I work and my time I need to have on point. I need to get in and out. When I 1st found out about Ron's Barbershop I thought it was a little too quiet but, Barbershop he seemed to be down for the black people and had good conversation I would take my God fun there to get his hair cut and he would do a very good job however today I went to take my God son to get a haircut Ron usually charges $15 for the cut which is fine but I asked ron if he took credit cards or debit cards and he said no and so I told him I only had 14dollars and he said he needed the whole amount. So I went back to my car and found 75 cents. I went back in and I explained that I have 14.75 and Ron said no so I don't go around asking for handouts TRUST, but come on 25cent. I am truly shocked at the behavior I experienced in this barber shop. This man was completely unsympathetic to a 5 year old foster child, who'd had a bad barber shop experience a couple months ago. A grown man cared nothing that the child was holding his breath and crossing both fingers during a shampoo. At least he had the right mind to"tap out" before picking up clippers. The shop was empty. I was hesitant to get my hair cut at all. I did my research, looked all over LA and decided to go local, what could it hurt right? I took a drive to the shop, it was only a few minutes away. I spoke to the gentleman in charge himself, told him my story, it's my first time and I'm nervous. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and He said ok. I swung by a couple of hours later, and it was worth the wait. This man has hands made of magic. He's gentle, very precise and very professional.
