This shop does an excellent job on any lamp repair you will ever need. They are quick and reasonably priced and the quality of their work is outstanding. They were able to repair heavily damaged old lamps from my grand mother to almost like new. read more

Haircut was good. Both guys are quiet, not a lot of bedside manner. Maybe I got them tired at the end of the day? It was my first time there, took them about 20 min to acknowledge I was in the room lol. Not sure if I'll be back. read more

Robert is my man He does a great job in a short time and leaves me looking great. It's not a fancy establishment but it highly recommended read more

Great stuff. Straightforward and simple and inexpensive. Very friendly staff and a fine availability

I bring my father-in-law here once a month. Andrew does a terrific job! I'm going to start getting mine cut here too...

Great, straightforward, conservative man's haircut. Done quickly and with care. Old fashioned, no-frills, businesslike barbershop. Perfect. Just perfect. Easy parking. Right next to ACE Hardware and Twohey's traditional diner where happy hour starts at 3pm. So phone ahead, schedule a 3 PM haircut then stop by Twohey's for a pint. Then home, hair looking spiffy, soul feeling warmed by the beer. A pleasant experience, not a chore. NOTE: Bring cash. read more

Andrew does a great job and it is easy to make an appointment. After the renovation, the shop is way cleaner and the seats are always clean. The parking is convenient because there is an Ace next door. The other customers and barbers are friendly and most of the time it is quiet. There is also a big screen TV usually showing sports channel which is always great to watch! read more

I've given the motobarber six tries. I always have a patch or two or three that appear untouched. Why not just use the buzzy shears? Scissor cut if you're able, buzz if you're just not going to finish the haircut. I tip well and I barely say a word in the chair. Btw, also jack knifed my son's haircut. We asked for a skater cut and left with a Jennifer anniston. My 7-year-old dreads that day. But you can't tell them anything. Everyone cutting is also telling. Just gotta find a new place. Three stars is extremely generous, considering. read more

Awesome old school barber shop tucked away in the shopping center on Fair Oaks in South Pasadena. Im a barber instructor. I took my students on a field trip to check out how different shops operate. Everybody at this shop was welcoming and informative. The shop is cozy. They were cutting hair and the clients were also providing information on the shop's history. They keep their clients for decades. The clients were happy while they received exceptional service. I wish this shop 100 more years of success! read more

Respond to a review from Stephanie Spray Cine Tranc- Andrew, Shelia and Robert always treat ALL their customers with respect, kindness and professionalism. However, when you come into the shop an hour late for your appointment, remember you're disrupting the timeline to the following clients who have apt's after you. Shelia clearly explained you were late, but will fit u in as soon as she can, and Robert offered to help you, but you refused. I'm guessing you felt those who had apts and were on time DONT matter to you and the barbers should only attend to your needs. Sorry Stephanie, it don't work that way. I've been coming here for years and Robert, Shelia and Andrew care about all customers and will accommodate when they can, but u should be ashamed of yourself putting a bad review because you don't know how to be on time or act respectful to others or yourself. Don't use your child's disability to cover your poor behavior. Shame on you!!!! This had nothing to do with him or his disability, it was you who made a scene and lied on the reviews. I've seen many children and adults with disabilities come in and no barber, especially Robert has refused or treated them badly. The shop is always clean and these barbers work very hard each day. This shop is amazing because of each barbers talent and amazing work. As a parent and client watching this happen, I was embarrassed for you. Think before you act next time. read more

There are wonderful barbers at Ben's!!! But Sheila has cut my hair twice and I was really amazed at the attention she gives to every inch of my hair. I always try to schedule her when I'm going to get a haircut. The others are pretty good too, but Sheila seems to do it just right for me! read more

I had an excellent haircut yesterday by Sheila at Ben's Barbershop. I called over there for an appointment (they work by appointment). She answered the phone and had let me know that she had availability later in the day. Even though she was cutting my hair for the first time she was able to read my mind as to what I wanted. My wife isn't very easy to impress really liked the results. I'm happy to have found a new place to get a haircut. Thanks again Sheila!!! read more

He is now 17 an extremely happy with all his haircuts. Thank you Ben's Barber shop for having such skilled barbers. read more

Easy, quick and available for drop-ins Ben's is a simple place to get a cut. I've had 3 here and while not consistent nor exactly what I requested they were very good and left me looking sharp. Ben's Barber Shop - Ben's barber shop now open - Barbers Near Me - South Pasadena, California

I had been loyal to my barber in Glendale but moved to Pasadena and my wife spotted Ben's shop. I was reluctant to change but made an appointment with Sheila. What a great stylist and personable girl. I've been going there now about 4 years and she's the BEST ! Moved to Lake Arrowhead area and still drive to get my haircut. Pleasant old fashioned shop. Busy, so make an appointment and have them make you look your best. read more

South Pasadena's go to barber shop. This place is a straight forward get in,get a cut and get out and don't forget to tip barber shop. Decorated with old trinkets including a moose head on the wall the ambiance is old school. The owner Ben is always at the first chair day in and day out. Sign in system is in place; literally you sign your name in on a notepad on a first come first serve basis. My recommendations is to come early on the weekends or late on the weekdays. Don't expect to ask for the Tom Brady latest hair cut but do expect to get a clean hair cut with no frills. Sign up with Andrew is my recommendation. read more

Being new to the area and having been to the same barber for 20+ years before my move, I was feeling anxious about my haircut. Heard about Andrew at this shop and gave it a try. I really enjoyed the experience: found the shop super charming, Andrew of course is the star, and loved in learning more about this long time Pasadena treasure. I asked for a fohawk which came out just spot on. I have received nothing but compliments on my haircut. Like I told Andrew, I will definitely be back. read more

Just had a walk-in with Sheila. I've been going to the same barber in the Southbay for over 5 years so I was hesitant to get a new person. She took the time to listen, took her time with the cut, and it came out terrific. This is my new go-to place for sure. read more

Andrew is my dude. Consistent. Attentive. Professional. A top-quality haircut every time. Ben's Barbershop is a true classic. A glance into the heartbeat of Pasadena. Around since 1968, this place runs with the best of them. I have come here for the past 3 years, and am sad if I ever need to go somewhere else. Keep in mind this place is closed on Mondays, and Saturday does not take appointments. I only sit in Andrew's chair; but Ben has helped me out of a hair crisis once... To which I applaud his efforts as well. He's first chair for more reasons than simply owning the place. Kristofer's Tip of the Day: If you want to be speedy, call ahead to put your name in/make an appointment. Andrew can get pretty swamped, so if your unprepared for him, be prepared to wait. read more

I forget to update my haircut experience, since its not very often. Went there a month ago and got a great cut. It was fast and professional, Ben's place doesn't change...except for the Tv. Thank God these guys are back open and did what they had to do to get back open during the pandemic. Their commitment to our safety deserves recognition. As someone that's high risk, I have been extremely apprehensive, but wanted to find out for myself, I'm so glad I did. A little dose of the old routine is exactly what I needed. Thank you Bens! read more

I have thick hair and most barbers struggle to give me a good haircut. Not Ben though. Thank you Ben!

I was going to be in the area and needed a haircut so looked up barbers on yelp and this was a few blocks away. The price was right so I stopped in. I only had to wait for a few minutes and got a great haircut from a friendly, professional barber. This isn't a manufactured hipster haircut place with beer and video games. I don't know the barbers' backgrounds but I can imagine they learned their trade in the military and have been at it for years. I don't mind the carefully planned places with their "barber shop experience" but the haircut here was just as good and half the price. It's the real deal and I'll find myself in South Pasadena every 4-6 weeks from now on read more

Ben's is a South Pasadena institution and I've been getting haircuts from Andrew there since I was a kid. It's a great cut for an affordable price in a humble setting where the news or sports is always on and pleasant conversations are never hard to come by. Andrew is the F$@&ing man! I don't get my haircut from anyone else. read more

Ben's is THE place to get your haircut. They are open and taking appointments which is great. No waiting. Rob is the best barber I have ever had. He cuts hair to perfection. My cousin is a hairstylist to the stars and she gives me compliments on my hair at every family get together. I was there one time and FLEA from the Red Hot Chili Peppers walked in for a buzz cut! Everyone who works there is friendly and fun to visit with. I won't go anywhere else but Ben's!! read more
