12 months ago, I made the mistake of listening to a door-to-door salesman for OmniShield. But he said that their work really focuses on mosquitoes, and that's what we need most, so I bit and signed on. Then, 11 months later I get a call from them asking if I want to add mosquito protection to my plan. Mosquitoes were the main selling point of the plan in the first place! I felt gypped and said I wanted to cancel. A couple weeks later, I get a call asking to schedule another treatment! I said I had cancelled, and then was transferred to "corporate" and on hold for over 35 minutes! I guess that's how they stop people from cancelling, by just not answering the phone. But they did eventually answer and I was told I was on a 2 year contract (which I know is false). But they said they'd change to a one year contract, but that I still had one more treatment. Service is every two months and I had had six treatments so I'm not sure how 6x2=12 is less than one year, but I insisted on cancelling. The rep refused, and would not transfer me to someone empowered to allow me to cancel (saying they would just transfer me right back to her). She said if I do not schedule a seventh treatment, the charge for that will be forwarded over to a collections agency. I'll have to wait and see, because I'm not going to let such an untrustworthy company on my property any more. Bottom line, don't do business with these guys. Maybe things were okay when they were OmniShield--I don't know. But don't do business with EcoShield for sure. read more

If I could give no stars I would. This company has its agents lie straight to your face about the contract you are signing. I was told that i could have a 1 time pest service because I was moving. I was insured they would not come back or be charged again. Over a year later...I am arguing with a collections company over a 300 dollar bill. I am being told they "exhausted all of their options in trying to collect this bill" when they did not call, email, or send actual main once. I RECEIVED NO FINAL BILL. I RECEIVED NO PHONE CALL. I have NEVER been sent to collections in my life and now I am dealing with with this awful company. ' I will be suing them if it isn't resolved. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - avoid the good reviews of service quality. The people who came to my house were a pleasure - i obviously hired them. But it is NOT worth what comes after. The company cares nothing at all about their clients. I have been trying to call for TWO WEEKS with no answer. Please head the warning. Came one time to my house and did nothing then charged me for three services and when I canceled they hit me with a $160 cancelation fee and refused to return my calls. My review was reported for "dishonesty" by Douglas so reposting. The truth remains that EcoShield will scam you and put the blame on the customer. Instead of Douglas/EcoShield trying to fix the issue, removing a review was more important so they can scam more people. Nothing has been done to resolve the issue. We've reached out to the email alias they sent us weeks ago and after stating that they would get us a refund for the fraudulent charges, we are now getting the silent treatment. The story has changed so many times from these guys - more action has been done to remove my post than to actually take care of the problem. I stand by my original post, so here it is. Zero Stars!!!! FRAUD!!! Do NOT use this company... They came and performed 1 service! Did not show for the second or the third "re-scheduled" service but still charged me. Now they are lying and saying they did come and can see it on the GPS after telling me that they accidentally serviced the wrong house for my second service. Can't keep their lies straight and are refusing to cancel my service unless I pay $150 after they STOLE $180 from me on my second service that was never performed. Please RUN!!!!!!! Today I had Desmand come over to handle some small ants that started showing up in our kitchen. He came over and placed some trays to attract, collect, and kill the ants as well as spray areas in the kitchen. He also took the time to explain the process and put me at ease knowing that the materials used would not be harmful to our dogs. They are always quick to respond if we need them to come out between treatments. And there is never a fee to do so. Every occasion that I have had someone come out to treat our home it is been a great experience. I would highly recommend their services as they are all outstanding professionals like Desmand was today. read more

Travis just knocked on the door and rang the doorbell while standing next to a no soliciting sign that specifies do not knock or ring the doorbell. My husband went to the door, said we're not interested and asked Travis if he saw the sign. Travis continued to talk until my husband closed the peephole on the door. At that point, Travis stood for a few seconds at the doorstep and proceeded to put a card on our door. If a "partner" in the company doesn't pay attention to written or verbal requests, I cannot imagine what would happen if I signed up for the service. I originally signed a contract on Tuesday 6/2/2020 and have been trying to reach them to cancel it as it's too expensive. I called 5 times and sent 2 emails, but never received a response. The phone calls only went into voice mail, and although I stated my problem and left my phone number, I never heard back from anyone. I know there's 72 hours to cancel a contract, but how can you do it if you can't reach someone? Horrible!!!! Use this company if you you want them to come provide service with out your permission after you call and cancel service appointment and still charges and make you pay. When first signed up, I was informed that it was supposed to be quarterly, but ended up being bi-monthly that they come, after a few services they weren't doing what they promised to do when 1st signed up. When called to cancel they say have to pay fee or only have 2 services left in contract which was not informed when signing up, so instead of canceling I had them reinstated to finish last two, after that we called and canceled, though it was done and over. Ohh noo!!! Far from it, 2 months went by received another email about services coming up, we called again a week before telling them it was supposed to be canceled and don't come, they said ok they'll cancel, but they still came n perform services while was at work, called them again n they said don't have to pay, another 2 months went by receive another email about upcoming service scheduled, again called them today they still make us pay for last service that they didn't really do shit and didn't have out permissions!!! Hopefully they'll cancel this time and don't come out this Saturday and make us pay again... horrible horrible company!!! A sales agent came by the house, and got our information. He pestered us until we agreed to try out their services, at a big discount ($50 for the first service). When I went online to sign the agreement, I noticed this was a year contract I was signing ($200 per future service with a $200 cancellation fee), which he failed to mention. When I told him I didn't want to sign a contract with a cancellation fee, he said he would take it off. Fast forward to trying to cancel, I have gotten numerous canned replies from staff saying that they can cancel but will charge the cancellation fee. I screenshot and sent text messages from their salesperson several times, and continue to get canned replies back. Today I just got an email saying they are going to charge the cancellation fee unless I call in. I just called in and they said they already canceled with no fee? We talked for about 15 minutes when I told him I wasn't going to sign up until I read some reviews about the company. I also told him we had a pest control service already. He respected my position and gave me his contact information. I just texted him to say we are good with our current pest control company. I know it can be irritating for service company reps to show up at your door unannounced, but if you've never been in a sales position, you can't appreciate the challenge in building your business. Of course the sales person needs to be professional and courteous, and should be shamed if they are not. Ian was professional and courteous and I applaud the company for his employment. Rep showed up at my doorstep. Really nice guy. I signed a contract. Folks came and sprayed. I'd still see roaches and bugs after they came though...not just the couple of days after (they told me that was expected), but weeks and in the intervening time between sprays. Was supposed to reduce mosquitoes-never did. Same with mice, fleas, etc. As others noted, to get out of the contract I was told would cost money. I could convert to fewer sessions but each session would cost more yet not add value. What? No way man! Sales reps always nice. Managers, though, were jerks. And, for the last spray session when alI turned away the guy, I not only got charged, the charge just got sent to a collections company. If you value your sanity, do not use this company. read more

They don't keep their appointments and when they do nobody seems to know what service I have paid for. Every time I schedule and arrange to be out of the house they wind up canceling or moving the times. This leaves me with issues for rearranging my week again AND I still have bugs in my home. The techs are very sweet but I get the feeling turnover is high and therefore the guys never really know what they are doing or how to treat appropriately. The WORST part is the customer service I receive when I'm trying to fix issues. Jeff in customer service is absolutely awful. He completely discounted my concerns and made me feel stupid throughout the entire process. He was unwilling to help me at all until I finally got upset and asked for management. When I told him I was happy with my existing service, he continued to lie about how all my neighbors were switching to his service. Anywhere from technicians coming on the wrong day, performing the wrong service than what was scheduled, being double charged, and having extreme difficulty reaching out to the Dallas office and rescheduling appointments or even asking questions.
