After they sent me a copy of the "signed contract", it was clearly not even close to my signature. I sent a pic of my drivers license and they waived the cancellation fee. In the end, they did the right thing. It was the specific sales person who misrepresented the agreement. I don't hold that against a business owner. DO NOT use this company. A door-to-door sales rep introduced himself as the "owner" and during our conversation I asked directly if the contract auto-renews after 12 months, he told me flat-out no. Upon review the signed contract says the opposite. The real issue is what happened after I tried to cancel. I exercised my legal right to cancel in writing within the 3-day window the contract itself guarantees, and confirmed it again by text. Rather than a simple written confirmation, I got a text asking if I wanted the technician who serviced my home fired...an odd, guilt-driven tactic. That was followed by repeated calls and emails pushing me to call a "retention" line, with zero acknowledgment that my cancellation was received and zero mention of my refund. Two days later, my account still shows active on their website, despite a written cancellation that followed the contract's own process exactly. There's a real difference between a company earning your business back through honest retention efforts, and a company simply ignoring a valid written cancellation and hoping you'll give up chasing it. This is the latter. I had to pull my payment info off their site entirely and file a dispute with my card issuer just to resolve. After reading through their BBB complaints, this appears to be a consistent pattern with this company, not an isolated incident. Think twice before signing anything with them! read more

I really haven't had too much problem until recently. They came out for the quarterly spray and it just didn't really do much. OK, fine, I will just call to have them come back. Except, they have outsourced EVERYTHING. I can't get anyone local on the phone, I'm having the same questions asked by multiple people and the same script is read over and over again where I can barely understand. It took me an hour to finally get it scheduled and I had to push. I understand it's cheaper to outsource, but Ecoshield is more expensive than pretty much every competitor so if they don't get the issue fixed by my next service I will be cancelling. read more

When we first signed up with EcoShield, they were fantastic. Our home stayed bug-free, and we were very happy customers for a year. Unfortunately, after our April 2026 quarterly service, everything changed. After the quarterly treatment, we experienced a major increase in wasps and ants. We found four old wasp nests still attached to our eaves, showing they had not been removed as required. We also had ants invade our home to the point they were coming through our jetted tub jets. Despite multiple calls, texts, and emails, I could not get anyone to address the incomplete service or schedule the rodent treatment we paid for. Communication was poor, and follow-through was nonexistent. It's disappointing because EcoShield used to provide excellent service. EcoShield has been one of the most frustrating companies I've ever dealt with. I hired them for rodent intrusion repair and attic sterilization (a $3,000 service), and they even threw in mosquito treatment--but none of that matters when the job isn't done. There is STILL a hole in my home the size of a baseball that I personally showed them multiple times, including their last visit two days ago. They told me Saul would come back and fix it, but gave me no date or time. When I called the office, they told me I wouldn't need to be home--which makes no sense because they haven't even sterilized my attic yet and need access inside. So now I've taken SIX days off work. They no-showed two appointments, failed to call ahead as promised, and even claimed they showed up when no one answered--when no one ever knocked. They told me they were coming Wednesday (today). I'm home... and again, no one shows up. When I call, suddenly the appointment is magically set for the 29th. Meanwhile, there is still an open hole, and my attic is covered in chewed-up insulation and styrofoam from squirrels and rats. They were supposed to clean it Monday--they vacuumed for less than 5 minutes. At this point, I've spent more time on the phone complaining than they've spent actually doing the work. This is beyond poor service--it's disorganized, misleading, and completely disrespectful of my time. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

A door-to-door salesman came to my home and told me the service I could expext. I even looked into their company and they appeared legit. TWICE did I wait for a service person to come to my home only to realize they never showed, but when I called the office to ask what was up they had a note in their system that a tech did service my home which was impossible since in order for them to be on my property I would have to let them in. They charged me for this. When I called and complained they said I would get a credit on my account and they would send someone out. They never credited my account, but they did perform the service later. I called to cancel my account only to find out they were going to charge me to do so despite the fact I was told I could cancel at anytime. Everything has felt like a lie with them and I can not get someone local to talk to. I have been an EcoShield customer for six years. As long as you don't have anything other than quarterly maintenance with them, they are fine. I have mice in my house, however. EcoShield said they would exterminate the rodents. Several months later I have the exact same issue. Carlos, the manager, doesn't even answer his techs calls. If you have a problem, there is no local number you can call - it's just a centralized answering service. Do not use EcoShield. They take your money but you get very little for it. read more

i had a subscription for pest control and after 6 months I was going to cancel bc no difference. They would always come out quarterly then one week later come again making me be charged 2x that quarter. A salesman came out after I complained of rats I. ceil and mice in the house. They gave me a quote of $8,520. for insulation in ceiling, rat prevention and termites. The salesman told me no more cost to it. He knew I wouldn't agree to it if I knew more fees would be added. He threw in mosquito treatment at no charge. They came out and refilled the mosquito traps and charged $125 for 15 minutes of treatment that was supposed to be free. After asking what the fees are from, no answer for 2 months then we call finance and it was for mosquitoes and other fees for quarterly treatments that double in cost. Im elderly and they are taking advantage of my position and we are in a fixed income. I would never recommend their service. This is a scam. read more

We received the first service at the beginning of August and then they have been a no show for FIVE scheduled follow up appointments. Completely disappointed in this company. The service rep convinced me that they were trying to gain business in a new area. I gave them a try, advertised them on our HOA site, got them additional business and then they provide ZERO customer service. Do not trust these people. They did not spray the outside at all. We requested the service be completed and the service rep came out and sat in his truck for a few minutes then left. They came to my father's house that has a "No Soliciting" sign up and convinced this elderly man with dementia to sign up for their service even though he already has service. This is not the first time they have preyed on him either. Update. Canceling the service took about 30 minutes. The folks on the phone tried many times to confuse my father when asking for basic information. Continually put it back on him for signing up for the service. He kept telling me they could get rid of pest and the other company couldn't. More Lies. I tried to cancel after the first treatment but they said I should be patient. I asked for them to come back out and even though he said yes they strung me along till it was time for another treatment. After that didn't work and I tried to cancel they discounted price and then threatened me with an early termination fee of $250. Reluctantly I took discount and gave them another chance which again did not help with getting rid of pests even after a touchup. Ridiculous to charge $250 for breaking a contract when in fact they can't live up to the promises. They keep saying the next treatment will work. I'm done! I was sold services that never got rendered ...it's been a battle over a year for the fee of breaking the contract. It's their word against yours. No respect for the customer that got sold a promised service. And it never continued beyond the day it was sold to us by a door to door sales kid. Just because a worker has GPS does not mean the service was done. Poor respect for the customer. I wonder how many people are paying for service that may not be taking place. If they did, they may have sat in the car... they never made it to the back side of the house where I was working ... which is all windows and you can see when they are doing the service. They are thieves! Representative showed up 3 hours late for appointment. When he got here he said he ran out of supplies to do the job at last site and said he would come back within a week or two to finish the job. He never came back but Ecoshield charged my credit card on file over $800 for service. I called customer service to get a refund because I lost confidence in their services and they took my money without competing the job. Customer service stated they couldn't do anything but they would get in touch with the Dallas office and have a manager call me back. They never called back, so I call customer service again and they promised same thing, but no call back. After this frustration I disputed the charge on my credit card and received the refund I was owed. Months later, they send me an email telling me that it was a valid charge and charged my card again without my authorization for the same amount. So they are stealing my money and refuse to call me back. They even threatened me with collections if I tried to dispute the charge again. This company is dishonest, the managers at the Dallas office refuse to call me back, and they take money without permission. STAY AWAY! Spread the word around your Dallas neighbors...CROOKS! While I received a community response from my Yelp review on 8/19/2020, Omnishield has not responded to my phone calls or emails from 8/14/2020. Within the email, I provided Omnishield with Ring door camera footage of an Omnishield sales associate providing an offer for $170. At no point within the conversation were cancelation penalties discussed until I chose to cancel services. Without the Ring door camera footage, this would be their word against my word. This is the perfect company to choose if you lovvve waiting on hold and having to go through massive hoops for every little thing. This started with a sales person at my door. And yes, that should've been my first indication, but I was really struggling with wasps in that moment. Even though they were priced higher than I wanted, the salesman made it sound like he would be the one directly working with me, that I could text him or call him anytime if I was having an issue. What I didn't realize was that I would never see that person ever again, and that my information would be fed through a larger company. When I saw the two-year commitment, that should've been my second giant red flag... But he told me that the company was incredibly easy to work with, and that if I wasn't able to afford it, I would surely be able to get out of that commitment. I argued back-and-forth for a hot moment on this, but finally conceded, assuming that he was being truthful. He wasn't. A year and a half in, after struggling with ants and having to go back and spray on my own to deal with the issue, I called and asked to cancel. This started an entire ridiculous chain of events. For one, the person on the phone was anything but helpful. And it's important to note that's the only way to really do anything with this company is by calling. They notify you of things via text and email, but any attempt at contacting them that way is met with a reply of "call the office." So your only option for communicating with this company is to wait on hold. So they refused to cancel my account without charging me $150. I made it very clear I was not happy with that option and would not be doing that, but also, since the company I originally signed with had been absorbed into this company, and since I had been verbally told by the shady door to door sales person that I would be able to cancel, they should honor that and not try to hold me to a non-binding contract. The next week, they called me every single day, sometimes twice a day. This is all while I was at work and unable to pick up the phone. They finally sent an email saying that if they did not talk to me by the end of that day, they would cancel my account and charge me for the termination of service. I immediately called that same day. At that point, I was told that my contract had been canceled and my account closed out. Nothing was mentioned about an account balance or anything to that nature. No invoice was sent. Then, on Thanksgiving day, I received an email informing me that I had an account balance and I had not paid my invoice. I sent an email and reply explaining all of the things I have said here. Then today, I got another call, and again, I am going through the same stupid routine. I called back, and the person who could barely speak English could barely understand me, much less help. He told me that he would have a manager call me within 24 hours. And so the cycle continues. In summary, this is a larger company with an extremely inefficient communication process. They land clients by grossly misrepresenting themselves through door to door sales people. And I would rather saw off my own arm than ever deal with these people again. read more
