My wife returned alone this afternoon (August 19th) for a tire replacement, and the technician deeply gouged the alloy rim during installation. The owner completely refused to take responsibility, claiming the gouge was old, even though the freshly torn aluminum is bright, raw silver and completely unoxidized. Very disappointed in the lack of accountability and honesty for a local business. We have the invoices proving the timeline and will be pursuing this through the Bureau of Automotive Repair."

I called on Saturday morning to confirm they could do the work; they agreed and I dropped the car off at 10:00 AM. I was told the job would take three to four hours. When I called three hours later (1:00 PM) to check on the status, I was informed that work hadn't even started. I called again five hours later, only to be told they couldn't finish the job because they lacked the parts for the rear axle. Despite knowing exactly what was needed from Friday's inspection, the shop took my car without having the necessary parts in stock. The shop then wanted to keep my car until Monday, but I explained that I needed it on Sunday. I requested a $100 discount--less than 10% of the total estimate--to cover a rental car, but I was repeatedly denied. I am frustrated that the shop accepted the job without parts, failed to provide any proactive updates, and forced me to call multiple times just to find out my car wasn't ready.

It has been about a couple of months since my car repair by Western Auto Care. My car is running…read moresmoothly for being 20 years old (2005 Toyota Corolla). Back in August my car stopped going in reverse and I knew it was time to replace transmission. I message around to a few vendors on YELP. Most of the vendors were were asking for double or tripled the amount for rebuilding transmission. Daniel suggested buying an used transmission which cut down on the costs significantly. Once I had the car dropped off he was constantly updating me with texts/photos of the car status. I also had him replace the real main seal (since transmission is already out) and replace the motor mounts (transmission and engine) and control arms with ball joints. They also tested the used transmission to make sure it held up. They were able to do all that work in 2 days. The car needed to run a while to break in the new/"used" transmission. Daniel and his team did an excellent job with the repair work, communication, and the pricing. The pricing was quite reasonable (Daniel did let me know ahead of time the pricing/quotes for potential work). I would take my current and future cars to him for any repair work. Sorry for the late review Daniel.
