I had a very unsatisfactory experience at this location. Following an inspection on Friday, I was told I needed new brake pads and rotors. I called on Saturday morning to confirm they could do the work; they agreed and I dropped the car off at 10:00 AM. I was told the job would take three to four hours. When I called three hours later (1:00 PM) to check on the status, I was informed that work hadn't even started. I called again five hours later, only to be told they couldn't finish the job because they lacked the parts for the rear axle. Despite knowing exactly what was needed from Friday's inspection, the shop took my car without having the necessary parts in stock. The shop then wanted to keep my car until Monday, but I explained that I needed it on Sunday. I requested a $100 discount--less than 10% of the total estimate--to cover a rental car, but I was repeatedly denied. I am frustrated that the shop accepted the job without parts, failed to provide any proactive updates, and forced me to call multiple times just to find out my car wasn't ready. read more

My boyfriend and I came to this place about a month ago. I have a 2020 bolt with 32,000 miles on it and I needed my tires rotated. The guy tried telling us some BS that I needed all new tires and the tires were too old to rotate. Tried to give us the runaround like we look stupid. I got the flat tire on the way back home from Yelp event last night. It was already 8:10 at night. I heard weird sound from my rear tire while I was driving over the bridge of fwy. I pulled over my car and found huge bolt screw on the rear tire. OMG!! I searched for open tire center around that area but all was closed. I couldn't sleep at all due to low psi less than 14. Almost low!! I contacted my AAA insurance and Tesla Road assitance but I realized all road assistance to tow the car to the service center instead of repair the tire. I decided the closest tire shop called Big O Tires right near my home. The appointment was done by phone at 10 and I went there. It was packed. Looked so busy. I waited about 30 mins then the technician repared my tire. He showed my husband and I huge bolt screw about 1 inch long, half inch head. Unbelievable!!! I didn't drive in the construction area at all. What happened to me!!! Thank God!! God leaded us here not to go to other tire shops. They charged $49.99. The service was great, fast, the staff answered my questions about the tire service policy. I finally relaxed when I drove my car, sounded normal w psi 45. I experienced Big O tires for the 1st time. Worst place to take your car! They'll take advantage of you. I brought my car here for an alignment -- three months later, my tire was completely worn out. I came back, paid for a new tire and another alignment, and now, only a few months later, the same tire is already shot again. Their excuse? "That's normal." They don't save paperwork, they don't stand behind their work, and they clearly don't care about their customers. Total waste of time and money. The staff -- especially Will -- was rude and dismissive, offering zero real answers. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that actually knows what they're doing. read more

It's hard to find good honest and kind customer service anywhere these days. The gentelmen (Gary I believe) who helped at the front desk was professional, honest and attentive. I have left other tire shops because I wasn't even acknowledged when I walked in, and was often upsold or pushed into things I did not want. This location is my favorite one and I continue to go out of my way to only come here because of the great customer service. I used to swear by Sears, Roebuck and Company's Road Handler tires. But since my Sears Store closed up, I searched for a better place to buy tires than Walmart or Costco. Well, I found it! This place does tires right from start to finish. They sale new vehicle batteries also. They have a comfortable waiting area and offer free coffee and tea to enjoy while you wait. Thanks, Guys! This is an updated redemption review for Big-O-Tires. I had a tire blow-out and came back to Big-O-Tires since they were the only tire shop that can get the tire I needed the same day, others were at least the next day or longer. I was towed to their shop around 10am and they were able to order, deliver, and install the tire by 1:30pm. Mind you, I did end up paying $500 for one tire with the warranty but at least I had a tire. They were very honest about the wait time, saying that the tire won't come in until late afternoon. The tire that they can get same day that was at their warehouse were the original Tesla tires hence the high price but not the most economical (there was one $100 cheaper but I would have to wait longer for that one to be delivered). The waiting room is in the back behind the counter. There is one restroom and a coffee bar and candy dispenser for 50 cents. There is a soda vending machine in the front. Lots of magazines and a TV. Although the wait was long, I was prepared and brought stuff with me to pass the time. I think this was the difference between this and my last experience. Less than a week later, I came back because of a small leak out of a different tire. My luck with tires have been terrible! They remembered me right away, and the service was very personable. Come to find out, it was a small nail. They were able to patch up my tire at no cost and sent me on my merry way. I will actually come back and believe that my first experience could be a one-off. read more

Called ahead spoke with Josh to get prices on 4 tires. Sent kid up to get the new tires put on. They up charged him the price wouldn't honor the original price Josh quoted. They add stuff to pad the price on him. Buyer beware walk away there's plenty of tire places in area that will match price or best price you don't have to worry about being up charged. Especially when it's my kid having to pay for the new tires. Just because he's young doesn't mean a corporation has to take advantage of him. Bad business. a quote should mean something. read more

First time here and would not recommend. Just came in for an oil change and was trying to save money by not going to the dealership. Told them no need to do anything with the tires since the tires are brand new and were just changed last week. Sales guy #1 says I am due for a 60k mile inspection. He said he would inspect my car and let me know what I need. I said that was ok with me, and I will be waiting in the store for updates. My appointment was at 9 am and he said that I was next and that it should not take long. Here are the issues: 1) The timing: I opted to wait in the store. Checked at 10 and saw my car was being worked on. Great. Checked at 11 and my car is still being worked on. Guy says they had to special order transmission fluid for me (this was never communicated to me) and that the only additional thing he would recommend is replacing an air filter ($29.99 cost). Said the delivery is almost here and that it shouldn't be much longer. Great. Remember, I was waiting in the store. By 1230 I still haven't heard anything, so I go up to see the status of my car. It was finished and no one said anything to me. 2) The price and communication: I go to pay and it was over 500 dollars. The sales guy did not communicate anything to me (aside from the $29.99 for the filter and that I was getting an oil change). I was very shocked since he said he would let me know what services I may need and nothing aside from the filter and oil change were communicated. Instead, he just did the services without running it by me. 3) Job not complete: I left and was on my home when I noticed this black filter-looking thing on my seat with some grey knobs. Called over and asked what these were. Another guy answered (sales guy #2) and said I need to bring it back immediately because that was their equipment. I come back and this new guy was like "oh, that is yours not ours." But I informed him I had no idea what this thing was and asked him what I need to do with it? To which he responded that it was the filter and needs to be installed behind the glove box. I then had to bring my car in again for another 15 min for them to install that filter. Appointment was at 9 am just for an oil change and did not end up leaving until 1 pm. 4) Not listening to the customer: Went home and noticed that my tires had been rotated even though I specifically told the first guy not to touch the tires because they were brand new. Would not recommend this place due to the issues above. I think the dealership would have been just as expensive, but less of a headache with a shorter wait time. read more

Took my Audi there two weeks ago to get four new tires immediately after having my brakes done. I visually inspected the brake job and the condition of my rims prior to leaving the break shop and driving directly to Big O for my tire appointment. I am a stickler about my rims and know every scratch or make on them .. I hand wash them. After the tires were installed I went out to the shop to look at them and one of my rims had four new deep scratches. I brought it to counter guys attention and he was very nice and made a report and said the owner would call me. Two weeks later .. no call no nothing. These are Audi rims and not cheap to replace but apparently it doesn't even deserve a call back. SMH! read more

My Jeep mechanic recommended I come here to get an alignment since my jeep has a 3.5" lift kit with a lot of adjustable components. I knew I could trust my mechanic, but damn I am beyond impressed. I believe Josh is who worked on my Jeep. My Jeep has never felt more solid since I modified it. It tracks super straight, steering wheel is totally centered and it doesn't have a wandering feeling to it anymore. I'm pretty sure they made adjustments for it to have a little more positive caster which is something any shop refused to do cause they were "too scared" to make adjustment to my ADJUSTABLE control arms. All in all, I will be coming back her for any of my alignment needs. Will buy my next set of tires here too. read more

Where do I start? I'm going to base this on 3 events. Strike #1 I call them asking if they're able to take 3 stuck wheel lugs off my vehicle. I told them the key to the wheel lock lug has been stripped.Without hesitation they said yes, "we do it all the time" so I'm like ok I'm coming by. Got there and they spent about 30-40 mins and they couldn't get one lug off. They gave up and they told me they couldn't get it out. Wasted my time. Made some call and went to a local mom and pop auto shop and boom, they took it off without any problems. Plus they charged me only $20 to take all 3 off while big O was charging me $15 each ($45 total) if they had removed it. Strike #2 I had a lifetime warranty on a tire repair they did for me in the past. I called them and explain about the low air. They told me to come in which I came in at 10am and I asked them to check the tire to see if the leak was from the old patch. They told me they won't check on it until 2pm and if I want to drop off the car. I said no but will come back at 2pm. At 2pm I came back, dropped off the car and left. About 1.5 hours later the owner called me and said the car is ready. I'm thinking to myself and thought they repair the same patch. Got there and they said there was a slow leak and they fixed it and then they wanted to charge me $49 for a patch. I asked why are you charging me? owner said because there was a nail in the same tire and they patched it. This is where things heated up. I said why didn't you call me to let me know there was a nail and it would cost me $49 to fix it? His stupid reply was, usually a customer would want to fix it if there was a flat. Owner was arguing with me, a returning customer, for a good 30 mins. I bought many tires from them in the past and paid for other services in the past. Long story short, I was willing to pay if he gave me a discount and he said no. Told me he would just voice the charges and never to come back. I told him good I'm never going to come back to this location ever again. By the way American tires provide free flat repairs. Take your car there for tires and service. Strike #3 They lack staff at the front counter. A parts guy and my self was waiting for a while i would say 10 mins until someone finally showed up. Terrible owner!!! I went in on Tuesday to get quotes on 4 tires and alignment. After receiving my quote I left. I ended up deciding to get the work done there, so I called back to schedule an appointment. The individual told me to come in later that day and get the job done because he can get the tires in later that day, but I told him that wouldn't be possible. I ended up making an appointment for today, Thursday, in the morning and he told me he would have the tires in waiting for me. When I arrived to get them done, I was told that the tires weren't at this location and that they were somewhere else over 2 hours away and that I would have to come back the next day. This is uncalled for. Now i need to waste my time to come back another day. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Called in for a quote yesterday and make an appointment for today at 12pm. They tried to add on stuff or tell me what my car need which I am aware of but I was strictly there for tires and politely refused. The service was overall quick and friendly, however my reason for my 1 star review is the damage when they removed the old wheel weights. They scratched all 4 wheels down to the metal, not surface which can be buffed out which I wouldn't have minded, but deep scratches. I even cleaned each wheel to make sure they weren't what I thought it was. I'm pretty sure they used a flat head and hammered into the old wheel weights to remove them but who knows. Granted my wheels do have some curb rash, however I don't think that's a pass to not handle someone else's vehicle with care. read more

Never have I ever felt so good about trying a new shop. I have had a number of cars through the years as well as jumping around mechanics and various shops. I was originally calling around for Tires. After calling 5 other shops and sites Big-O had the most inviting answer to my call. As you could imagine I had my guard up and salesman voice ready for anything but the genuine enthusiasm to represent their business and skill, I was shook. Anyhow, Josh had the best deal for my car in my 20 mile Radius. B2G2 when purchasing their warranty's. Our total sum was way under what I was anticipating. While the car was up they ran a simple check and pointed a few things that could be an issue down the road but that I should know before heading home. Josh gave the most direct diagnoses with words I and my wife could understand. Genuine concern and genuine care. After our car was ready in the parking lot in their new shoes, Josh shared more about the various services they offer and his shop along with how his crew are all happy to work there and that most of their clients are new from referrals of previous customers. That's a great sign if you're familiar with other car shops. Safe to say, we are bringing a few more cars back here when need be and feel confident referring a family and friend to Big O Tires in Cypress. read more

Went to get two tires replaced and got a call that I needed a whole bunch of other work on my car. These ripoff artists convinced me that I needed new brake pads and new rotors for my entire vehicle. They said the rear was warping the rotors and there was metal to metal contact, so the rotors and the pads needed to be replaced. I agreed to the rears and asked them to hold on to the pads for me. When I picked up the car I had to remind the cashier about the pads and he handed them to me face down. I found that only one pad was actually worn down, the others were fine. Getting home i verified that the second lowest one still had 6mil on it, which was fine for a car I only drive once a week. And looking over the book prices on parts alone I saw they charged me $102 for two sets of brake pads and $170 for two rotors, one of which I definitely did not need. They have to be selling gold dipped brake pads for these insane prices. I'm not sure why they have to be so shady when they are already charging $150 for shop time on basic maintenance. Why they chose to charge me an entire hour to pop out some brake pads is beyond me, implying either their mechanics or their accounting is incompetent. Just trying to warn everybody that there is absolutely no reason to go to Big O if all of them act like this. read more

Bought 2 sets of tires here for my 2012 Outback. Most recent tires put on 4 months ago. Today, my low tire pressure light came on and I drove straight to Big O to have it checked out since there was no obvious flat. They patched my tire that had a nail in it, and sent me on my way.
