On August 28th my 17 year daughter had a consultation with stylist Sena to go over an appointment…read morefor a full color of vibrant green. She showed her a picture for an example and she agreed she could do it and the amount of $360 for the appointment. On September 2nd she had her hair appointment and the results were no where near her expectation. She sat in the chair for 5 hours and when she was finished Sena told her "Well you got semi cool hair". My daughter left in tears and stated to me she "never felt uglier". (Fortunately she had a friend fix it for her that night). I called the salon and talked to the manager Morgan asking for a full refund and she would not return to the salon for a correction as it already was redone by her teenage friend with the exact results she wanted. I was also told my child, who is a minor, was asked and signed a waiver for no liability of damage. Parental consent should have been given per Oregon Law. Morgan said that my daughter told her she was 18, (my daughter said she never discussed her age) nor was she asked for ID. I have asked Morgan for the immediate copy of the waiver and still haven't received it. After multiple email, and phones calls, asking to speak to the owner, communication ceased. I went to the salon today and asked to speak to the manager, owner, and stylist Sena. Morgan came to the front desk and I again asked her if I could talk to Sena and the owner, in which she told me the "owner lived out of state and doesn't answer phone calls because she trusts her to run the salon". I asked for a copy of the waiver and she refused and said my daughter needed to come in herself because she was the client. I replied that wouldn't be happening and as her parent I was representing her. Morgan then became aggressive after I told her that I had no choice but to write a bad review and post on social media so this doesn't happen to another client, much less another teen. I also told her I would be filing with Small Claims court to recoup loss of money. At that point Morgan loudly asked me to leave the salon, in which I did without incident. I am yet to talk to the stylist Sena, or owner, Renae Tichenor nor do I have anyway to do so because the email goes directly to Morgan. Not once did Morgan offer an apology or any sympathy. I suggest if you find interest in this salon to go elsewhere. We are highly dissatisfied and my child was left emotionally distraught. Lara came to the desk and said she was sorry, but they didn't have any, but she had an opening the following day at 9:00 a.m. I gladly accepted the day and time. I went in and spoke with Lara, she's super friendly and nice. She led me back to her chair with my pup in tow. I showed her a photo of a hairstyle I really liked, but was afraid the cut wouldn't look good because of my frizz and thinning hair. She was very honest and said that'd it'd work great with my wavy hair, the right product would help tame the frizz and would also compliment my thinning hair. She took me and my pup to wash my hair. My pup laid on my chest(as I taught her to do), however she didn't care much for the washing part, she doesn't care much for water or baths lol. Lara walked us back to her chair and cut away my mop. Man it looked like a rats nest at the end and I was glad to get rid of all that hair. I didn't want her to style it because I wanted to see what it looked like dry. My pup may have been mad at the dryer anyway, but Lara did an amazing job. She got the cut exactly as the picture I showed her. It doesn't look exactly as the photo because the model and I have different hair types, but the cuts were exactly spot on. Lara's not only a sweetheart, but also a great therapist(as most stylists are lol), she's also a great stylist, has an eye for detail and knows her products. The one she recommended to me works perfectly, it adds definition to my wavy hair, knocks my frizz out for the most part and keeps it at bay. I'll definitely be going back to Boudica Salon and Spa and only requesting Lara. I highly recommend Boudica and Lara.
