Casey was so incredibly helpful. She'd just come in from her lunch when the receptionist asked for expertise. Casey showed me a few options and explained some of the benefits, and I also purchased some shampoo and conditioner. I haven't used R+Co before, but I like it. There's plenty of parking here. The salon is small and seemed calm and quiet. If I lived in Eugene I'd make an appointment here.

I have seen Kristin in the past, and most recently had Elena take care of me. Always feel like I am in capable and professional hands, but also like it is ok to be myself, sing along to chill rap music, crack jokes, and relax. I was so pleasantly surprised when Elena literally handed me a comb and said "show me" what you do to your own hair so shortly after initially assessing the situation a bit first. It took me a while to unwrap this, but by the time I left, I can't explain how much that meant to me (as a very hands on person who always has trouble finding words to express what I am looking for in a haircut). Every other haircut in my 3+ decades of life has ENDED with "Run your hands through. Does that feel OK?" ... But to be asked at the TOP of the visit, in a genuinely curious tone, before cutting anything, essentially 'How is this going to ACTUALLY look tomorrow and every day until you come back?' and not just 'How do you want ME to style this TODAY' .. was really empowering in a way I did not expect, so THANKS Elena!

On August 28th my 17 year daughter had a consultation with stylist Sena to go over an appointment…read morefor a full color of vibrant green. She showed her a picture for an example and she agreed she could do it and the amount of $360 for the appointment. On September 2nd she had her hair appointment and the results were no where near her expectation. She sat in the chair for 5 hours and when she was finished Sena told her "Well you got semi cool hair". My daughter left in tears and stated to me she "never felt uglier". (Fortunately she had a friend fix it for her that night). I called the salon and talked to the manager Morgan asking for a full refund and she would not return to the salon for a correction as it already was redone by her teenage friend with the exact results she wanted. I was also told my child, who is a minor, was asked and signed a waiver for no liability of damage. Parental consent should have been given per Oregon Law. Morgan said that my daughter told her she was 18, (my daughter said she never discussed her age) nor was she asked for ID. I have asked Morgan for the immediate copy of the waiver and still haven't received it. After multiple email, and phones calls, asking to speak to the owner, communication ceased. I went to the salon today and asked to speak to the manager, owner, and stylist Sena. Morgan came to the front desk and I again asked her if I could talk to Sena and the owner, in which she told me the "owner lived out of state and doesn't answer phone calls because she trusts her to run the salon". I asked for a copy of the waiver and she refused and said my daughter needed to come in herself because she was the client. I replied that wouldn't be happening and as her parent I was representing her. Morgan then became aggressive after I told her that I had no choice but to write a bad review and post on social media so this doesn't happen to another client, much less another teen. I also told her I would be filing with Small Claims court to recoup loss of money. At that point Morgan loudly asked me to leave the salon, in which I did without incident. I am yet to talk to the stylist Sena, or owner, Renae Tichenor nor do I have anyway to do so because the email goes directly to Morgan. Not once did Morgan offer an apology or any sympathy. I suggest if you find interest in this salon to go elsewhere. We are highly dissatisfied and my child was left emotionally distraught. Thank Gawds for Supernova! Great consultation, knowledgeable staff, perfect alternative atmosphere and everyone is so gosh darn friendly. In the past I've had trouble conveying what I want done despite the simplicity of block stripes and dye, no such problem here. I've also had hair dresses argue with what I want done or try to hard sell me into more, again, none of that. They listen to what you want and then they do it with enthusiasm. All questions answered and the delightful side banter doesn't hurt my feelings. Going to bring my picky 13 year old as well as my 17 year old autistic spawn . So welcoming and I feel back to normal in my stripes!

Prices are right in line with getting a quality cut and style without paying through the roof. The vibe of this salon is also fabulous, as the owner is a huge Star Trek fan and the place is full of fun memorabilia.
