My first time here, but I absolutely plan on coming back! The woman who did my dip powder manicure (I regret that I forgot to ask her name) was so sweet, and she paid such great attention to detail. She was very thorough with my manicure, and even made sure to let me know the color I chose would show up pretty light/sheer to make sure that was what I wanted. Got a full set two weeks ago, haven't gotten them filled yet, and 3 nails broke, 2 of which my nail bed broke and bled. I was super nice, understanding, and patient during the appointment as I was there for 3hrs for a mani pedi. I even gave them good tip and paid $100 in cash.. I'm a student too so I don't have that kind of money but i wanted to be a nice customer. The pedicure was supposed to be gel but is chipping like normal polish, and when I called they refused to fix the broken nails and that I would have to pay for full new set. The set I had before lasted over half a year and these didn't even last 12 days. Super rude over the phone, and I'm not even going back to try and get them to fix it cause it's not worth it. I had a good experience. Natalie was my nail tech for the day. I've included photos on the post of how they look (the white nails with sparkles). The nail salon prefers cash or checks, but they do take cards. They provided me a complimentary water which was a nice surprise. I gave four stars because it was good service and the staff was friendly. My experience was good and quick. I got the color and sparkle I wanted and a free beverage. The only minor thing my husband pointed out was that the color doesn't go all the way to the beginning of the nail bed, but it may be difficult to do that with gel applied to the top of the nail...I'm not sure. I took my pregnant sister in laws there to get their nails done before birth and they treated us so amazing! They took extra care with the pregnant ladies and their legs by giving them massages for awhile. Also the amount of spa treatment and shellac nails for the price we got was something I would never be able to find in the Portland area where I live! I visited Pretty Nails yesterday (3/9/18) after the manicurist I'd been seeing for near five years up and ghosted her clients without so much as a word I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived - the shop was neat, clean, and well organized. I had the distinct pleasure of having Natalie do my fill and my pedicure. Natalie was extremely professional and cordial. She took great care in doing my nails. Had a manicure/pedicure. If you just want your nails painted it's a great place but if your looking for a spa experience skip this one. I trimmed my nails before I went in so they wouldn't be cutting them. Told them I only needed them files a little. I got a response as if she understood. Before I could stop her she was cutting the corner of my big toenail and cut into the nail bed. Of course I had a reaction, it hurt and still does. I'll be darn lucky if I don't get an infection or ingrown nail from this. The massage is minimal with very minimal product. Pretty Nail just opened end of 2010 and features beautiful pedicure stations and fresh equipment for manicures and more. The location is in the old Mail Stop, by Rays. I highly encourage anyone looking for a fill to give Kenny a go! He is amazing! The other 2 people that work there are very sweet and kind, but for my time restrictions, take way too long for a fill. Kenny will take a full hour, but my nails look amazing when he is done! Huge plus in my book... they actually welcome you when you walk in with a smile and thank you for your business when you leave. When my sister asked for her nails to be a little shorter, her manicurist replied "let me do my job." As she was washing her hands, my pedicure was just about done. I asked her manicurist how long it would be until her nails were done, to which she replied, "the faster she washes her hands the faster her nails will be done." My sister was watching the progress of her nails and her manicurist reprimanded her telling her to watch the tv because it will make her relax. My sister and I both came away with cuts. This place is absolutely dishonest and unprofessional!! I really liked this nail salon when my favorite nail tech worked there- but she suddenly left (this being only months after my original nail tech had quit)- The new tech that I ended up with, discreetly informed me where my girl went and why she left which, though I was happy to know where my girl went- it was also very unprofessional of the woman to tell me so much. At the end of my appointment, I advised the tech that I could put the tip on my card if she prefers as I only had $2 cash on me (this was a $20 fill- with no top coat, mind you) - She advised the cash was fine as they prefer cash- so I gave her the money and put the $20 on my card- and when the payment hit my bank- I noticed she STILL CHARGED MY CARD an extra $2!! Im positive this was not done in error, but rather in hopes that I ( among who knows how many other patrons she's attempted this with) wouldn't notice a measly $2 more missing from my account. This place may have great prices and do an amazing job on nails- but they lack integrity and honesty in their daily transactions. And cheating me as a long time customer also lost them my business, forever. Even over something as small as $2... it's the mere principle, and I don't do business with dishonest companies- however large or small they may be. I have been a Pretty Nails customer since they opened a few years ago. I have weekly appointment because I play the piano and need to have clean short nails. Kenny understands how I need my nails to be shaped and he does them just right. There have been staff changes over the years and I really enjoy the people who work there now; two young married couples and middle aged woman, all very good at what they do. I have my eyebrows waxed there and they look great! Also, GREAT pedicures They take their time and do a very nice job. I was really disappointed to find that they don't actually take walk ins at all even though they advertise that they do. When I walked in, I noticed 4 ladies getting manicures and pedicures and expected a slight wait. As I went to sign in like I've done at every other place, the gentleman behind the counter asked what I was doing and if I had an appointment. When I told him that I did not and asked if there was time for a walk in, he became agitated with me that he had to stop and look and his schedule. I ended up calling pretty nails, because the place that I got my nails done didn't want to deal with a couple nails starting to lift in the back! And even though it was pretty close to their closing time, they were confident and willing to help me with a much needed fill! I had never been in to see them before and they immediately welcomed me to come in! Even though they were essentially closed, they were also more than willing to also do a shellac manicure for my daughter too! They even emphasized that they'd take very good care of her and be extremely careful, as she is 9 years old, although very tall for her age. They did such an amazing Job on both of our nails and no problem with staying late to do it, which was extremely nice of them to go above and beyond! They even allowed me to take my time in making the decision on what gel color I wanted for my nails/fill!!! I wish I knew their names, but I had one gale start my nails and then the nice man finished and did an incredible job!!! I even got what they call "Cat Eyes," gel polish where they use a small tool that heats up your nail to make it look magical!!! The very sweet lady that did my daughters nails not only did an incredible job, but she did a "real" manicure!!!! I haven't seen anyone do the entire manicure that I used to get over a decade ago!! She did the massage of her hands and arms with wonderful lotion & she took her time catering to my daughter!!! I couldn't believe it! I told them how excited I was to see that they're actually doing "real" manicures!!! My daughter and I will definitely be sticking with Pretty Nails from now on!!! Side note: they didn't even try to up charge on my nails that were starting to light on the bottom, which the place I went to initially told me they have to up charge me and after booking me, as soon as she found out that a couple nails were starting to lift in the back (which is obviously where the fill is going to take place anyways) she all of the sudden forgot that she had another appointment!!! Which felt like a good way for her to get out of doing my nails!!! She recommended that I go to the Mall!!!! Seriously, disappointed in Alba Nails and told her not to worry because I'd find someone better and I'm so happy I did!!!! I can't wait to go back for my fill as well as a pedicure!!! I loved my nails BUT I didn't like the way they were put on. The lady there used her electric file before putting on the glue and nail and now my natural nails hurt so bad. Using electric files on your natural nails is very harmful to them and can cause infection etc. They were very nice and everything I just do not agree with the electric file on the natural nails. read more

They just wanted to go home the guy was rushing and hurting me and was making me feel uncomfortable just staring at me. The nails came out super thick in even the acrylic didn't cover then entire nail. And it was even it has holes and lifting will begin probably by tmr. I spent $42 and it was not worth it to make matters worst they aren't even the same length never again I will post pictures they Honestly speak for them selves no see for words.
