Excuse the odd photo. They did a wonderful job on my actual nails. Exactly what I asked for, shaped exactly how I wanted. The product to me was 5 stars. Unfortunately the experience wasn't too great. The lady filed into my finger (ring finger shown in photo) and when she saw it was bleeding she didn't mention it she just put a drop of nail glue on it. It seemed very odd. She was not very friendly but again, did a great job other than hurting me a little. The man has a very steady hand and was more personable. The price was a little high but understandable. read more

Came here sometime last week with a friend to get manicures when another place was "too busy". The owners (I think) were both very friendly and unfortunately had to help us one-by-one but we weren't too annoyed by that. When my friend finished, she has noticed that they hat clipped skin that shouldn't have been clipped so she had bled a little bit. By the time it was my turn I had noticed that the tools weren't cleaned in between clients so we had just shared a file, clipped, and buffer. Yes she was my friend but still... once he had finished clipping my cuticles he ran the tool in what looked like water and put it back on his tray. My friend noticed when she was done that her nails were uneven in color and it was on the messier side. When mine were finished they surprisingly weren't like hers and looked somewhat decent. So just something to look out for. read more

I came here and had the man work on my mani and pedi. During the manicure he cut my nails super short as well as made half of my cuticles bleed to the point where it wouldn't stop and he had to try to paint over the blood which obviously didn't work well... He had to redo some nails (shellac) because the paint was dripping over to one side while drying as there was too much on the nail. Very long and painful experience. He kept cussing because he was messing up and it was pretty uncomfortable. TLDR: Cuticles bled and were in bad shape for weeks, cut nails too short, and the paint was uneven. read more

Avoid this place if you can. The nail artists were way too rough on my friends and I's nails and they hurt so badly after they had been done and left a few finger bleeding. The were friendly but super super slow getting the process done and the nail work was sloppy. read more

I should have read the reviews... Instead I threw caution to the wind. I also have had similar experiences as the other two star reviews. I had a manicure done and several of my cuticles bled. The guy working there didn't apologize for the bleeding nor did he apply alcohol to the cuts. I was naive as this was my first simple manicure by myself, so I said nothing. Also, I didn't like some of his comments. I'm only really writing this because one of my fingers is currently red hot, tender and infected which I'm sure is a true correlation to the cuts I've sustained from his service. read more

Please don't go here. Period. Me and my friend went in for simple color changes and so many things were absolutely awful. I asked them specifically not to shave my nails down when taking off my color and they still did, so much so that they filed through my nail bed and made me bleed leaving me in pain with extremely thin nails. They also shaped none of my nails the same so they were all different shapes and sizes. My friend was getting white nail polish and it was completely see through with uneven coats, she immediately went home and took it off. The same exact thing happened to me. I was serviced by "pa" and he made my toe bleed and did not say anything.Also when I came "Ma" was working on someone and I thought I would be next when she finished working on that person. When a third person walked into the salon, she proceeded to work on her before me (even though she came in after me) while I sat in the chair with my feet in the water. During this time, she must have been calling "pa" to come in (I'm not sure I couldn't understand what she said on the phone--language barrier.) Finally "Pa" showed up 20-30 minutes later and this doesn't include the time I waited for her to finish on the person she was already working on. I wish she would have just told me to come back later or make an appointment. The pedicure was fine but I'm not a fan of the bleeding. read more

Kim Hong does great work. She did a French manicure for me, and took time to make it perfect. The pedicure was also well done, and the massage chairs were comfy. She was friendly and accomodating. Massage was on point. Not the fanciest place, but a good nail salon, and Kim is awesome. read more

In my quest to try every pedicure available in Corvallis I visited Pro Nails. It is a Ma and Pa style operation- when I walked in "Ma" was busy on some acrylics so "Pa" sat me down for my pedicure. This man was thorough. He spent a LONG time cutting my cuticles, sanding off extra skin, trimming, polishing, pedicuring. I swear I went down a half shoe size by the time he was done. My "ET" toe was almost unrecognizable. This would have been great, except in his attempt to remove all unnecessary skin from my feet he cut one cuticle so low it was bleeding. He didn't say anything- just put a mystery blue solution on the cut, which did nothing to staunch the bleeding, and eventually dunked my foot back in the warm water. During most of the pedicure he carried on a mostly one-sided conversation about how weird it is when tall girls (like me) have short boyfriends. His wife, now doing a pedicure next to us, occasionally interjected in Vietnamese, probably telling him to change the subject, or maybe commenting on my bleeding toe. The toe did eventually stop bleeding, and my nails do look very good, however next time I might recommend you request "Ma" when you go to Pro Nails. read more

Kim gives the best pedicures in Corvallis. Sure, her shop is not fancy, but she takes care of my feet! I play tennis and hike a lot which help make my feet less than pretty. I can always count on smooth feet and pretty toes when I leave! read more

I can understand the intent for humor from the other posters on the "ma and pa" - but it's so white Corvallis! I'm that middle aged woman who returns 5x a summer season to see EITHER Kim or her husband. They'r my community business neighbors. They have that Corvallis family with kids familiarity, sharing our trials and tribs with kids. They've openly, kindly shared their immigration stories with me. As for the pedicures - OMG is this THE best pedicure I have ever gotten. The attention to detail - He is obsessive (as I prefer!) in getting every skin cell off my heels; She gives the best 20 minute stress draining massage ever. Was on east coast and got a pedi with my mother; that inferior pedi made it super clear to me that ProNails is the best by FAR. read more

Having had pedicures in five star hotels and cruise ships, I can say with experience that Kim's pedicures are excellent! Her massage is to die for and her attention to foot care far exceeds that of the average young woman in the high end saloons. Kim speaks English as a second language so conversation is limited but she is vey pleasant and very good at her job. Oh and did I mention her rates are exceedingly reasonable. He also cut my skin & said I had "lots of cuticle" but he was cutting no where near my toe nail instead was on top of my toes & on the side. read more

I love this place. Like the comment before states, it is a Ma and Pa salon. I love it. I've heard the "Weird when Tall girl have not tall boyfriend" story before as well. Really inexpensive but very professional work. I'm religious in the care of my hands and feet and after moving from Portland Ive had a really tough time finding a salon in Corvallis/Albany that provides the kind of care that they provide here. I've tried 4 or 5 other places and the work does not compare in quality. They take a long time, and are very careful. The only thing I would change is the ambiance, and perhaps more ventilation. I had an apt w/Kim for July 17, 2015. I made the apt about a month in advance since I was going on a cruise. I was the first apt of the day and Kim was just opening the store when I walked up. I was having a mani/pedi with the manicure being shellac and the pedicure being normal polish. I picked my toe nail polish first and shellac nail polish second. They didn't have the exact match but it was close enough it didn't matter. She was very sweet and caring and although her English is occasionally hard to understand, it didn't stop us from chatting and having a good time and silence occasionally wasn't uncomfortable. The foot/leg prep was to die for and I am still smooth! I had slammed my thumb in a car door several months ago and the nail was black and bumpy and growing out and gross and I wasn't sure she could do anything to make it look good . She took all the time needed to put a fake nail on only that one (her idea), kept it short so I wouldn't have it hooked or pulled (thus ripping my nail off) and truly made it look just like my other nails. She went above and beyond to have my mani/pedi look great and for me to feel pampered. I am 17 and will go back to her before school starts. My experience was so good my mom will be going to her in a couple weeks too. Very reasonable price and not stuck with someone just out of beauty college like I have had before in local higher-end spas. I have nothing negative to say about Kim or her services. read more
