I had a wonderful time! Took advantage of a April special and got their signature haircut ( comes with a hair wash and styled) with a gloss treatment. My hair inspiration was Jennifer Aniston from Friends, my stylist did such a great job that I had people coming up to me telling me they like my hair style and that it remind them of Jen. The actually space was really cool and Trendy. They cut hair in the back and the front is a cute store front. They also do a lot of other services here as well. This place is extremely overrated. My experience was horrible. My hair is very thick and long , hasn't been cut in many many years and my Haircut was only 15 minutes! , left with unstyled unfinished wet hair.. it was very uneven, a blunt cut with no layers. She Didn't take the time out to even blow dry it or style it so I didn't see all the imperfections until it was dry. Went back about an hour later with my sister so she can help point out the things that were wrong with it and my stylist Raven was not understanding what my sister was pointing out which was frustrating since it was very obvious. She acted as though she didn't understand, instead of just helping to fix the problems at hand. Over all lack of effort and care which was extremely unfortunate. I was looking for a new salon and love the philosophy of Honeycomb. I already use the hair product line InnerSense and they carry it as it's a very clean product. I chose the stylist, Jackie, because she has long hair and I loved it and I have long hair and because she had a great smile. I totally clicked with her, she listened to me, kept checking in with me, and did a gorgeous long layered haircut and deep condition for my silver mane. The salon is adorable too. I had a great experience at Honeycomb Salon. I went in for a gel fill. The receptionists greeting when I walked in was welcoming and kind. I was asked if I would like a beverage and served quickly. My daughter recommended me to Raven for my highlights and low lights. I have thick, shoulder length hair with some gray. I really don't color to hide the gray. I just want depth and interest rather then just all brown with gray. Raven worked with me before starting the process. She got it first time, spot on!!!! I love, love, love my color. She also gave me a lot of great tips for enhancing my curls. She styled it "curly", my request, all the while teaching me how I can do this at home. I haven't tried yet bc I'm still enjoying my hair style she did. I'm 69 1/2. We shall she if you can teach an old dog new tricks!!! Anyway, I highly recommend Raven. This was truly a mixed bag for me. On the upside, they have excellent customer service and a really good vibe. I enjoyed my stylist, too. I had really long hair but she chose shoulder length and did the initial blunt cut. I'd asked for some brightening of my grey hair. Maybe some white or platinum blond highlights. She said it couldn't be done. Instead, she highlighted the very front around my face a light brown which doesn't make any sense with the grey. So now we get to the downside. She washed it and since my hair is naturally wavy (not really curly) she added product to make it curly. She didn't finish the cut. Just left it at the first blunt cut and then put it into ringlets from my scalp. I'm a 69 year old woman and she sent me out looking absolutely ridiculous. I went home and took a shower to wash it all out. When it dried I realized I had a pyramid haircut because she had done any layering or finishing. I didn't blame her for this. We got along so well that we were talking a lot!! I couldn't get back on her schedule but they put me on someone else's. While I was there my original stylist came over to say hello but denied forgetting to layer saying I must have forgotten when she did that. I told the stylist who was cutting my hair, "well, you can see right now who forgot something." It made me feel bad that the stylist would deny what she did. Now I have to live with these brown "highlights" until I can find somewhere else who knows how to color hair. I paid $200 for my experience. read more

My first and last visit to this business, I went in for a haircut and conditioner, I also asked for a glaze. I told the stylist Athena what my goal was, my hair is blonde but wanted it lighter. She indicated she understood and would help lighten my hair. What I received was a much darker puke gray-pink color which I was mortified by when I actually saw it. This made me wonder if this stylist is color blind or just needs to go back to beauty school. Not only that, my haircut she chopped so horribly I can't style it! Kacie cut and dyed my hair! This was my first time getting my hair dyed professionally. I am really pleased with the outcome. Prior to making an appointment, I looked at all the stylists instagram and price ranges. I found that Kacie's portfolio on ig and price range is what I was looking for. When I sat down with Kacie I showed her two photos of balayages that I want - one that was lighter (blonde) and another that was darker (caramel brown). She was realistic with me and told me that the darker balayage is more attainable and won't fry my hair. I really appreciate that she consulted me. She also cut my hair. I didn't want to cut a lot off and wanted to add some layers, specifically curtain bangs. Kacie asked me how often I style my hair and told me that curtain bangs are more high maintenance. Super glad she told me that since I don't style my hair often and then I opted for a low maintenance haircut. OVERALL: Kacie knew what she was doing and is very knowledgeable about hair. She always checked in and asked if this was what I wanted. The appointment was fast and reasonably prices. Love my hair- it's super soft and natural! Definitely will come back again. read more

I hate to give a bad review for this place because it was a beautiful salon and everyone was just so nice, but unfortunately my hair did not turn out as nice. I went in for highlights and color, and I left with the worst hair color I've ever had. I'm not being hyperbolic, it's literally the worst. The highlights were blotchy and streaky. The overall color was SOOOO dark. I'm not sure why this color was chosen because it was way darker than my natural color, way darker than my color at the time, and not even close to the goal picture I showed her. Everything was also extremely overtones and my hair was literally BLUE when I walked out the door (not the natural look I was going for). I spoke with a manager, she was so nice and happily agreed to schedule me for a free re-do. Unfortunately the damage had already been done. The additional highlights from the re-do helped a little bit, but my hair is still extremely dark so the highlights just look streaky and skunk-like. Also, I'm still blue. So a waisted 6+ hours, $300+, time off work, and my hair is super over processed. I'm not saying this is a bad salon. Like I said, everyone was so nice. I've gone here twice in the past year 1/2. The last time was in April. I was with Brianna and I had booked a wash/cut (full standard haircut). First she was late to get me in the chair (I understand, but it affected the haircut). I told her I 100% wanted tons of layers but I was unsure about the length I wanted so I asked for more to be cut off. I was in the chair for maybe twenty minutes total because she had another appointment coming up. She "didn't have time" to wash my hair, dry it, and cut it, so we ended up just doing a dry cut with minimal layers. I was so disappointed, and was charged for a full haircut anyway! A dry cut is way cheaper than a wash/cut. Just very disappointed and did not get what I asked for / paid for. read more

Best salon experience ever! I booked 2 cuts, a pixie cut for my mom, and a regular cut for myself with someone who understood curls. My mom was matched with Hillary, who is the first stylist my mom has ever been 100% satisfied with. She loves her cut and style, felt pampered and cared for, and is very happy to keep going back for future cuts. I was matched with Athena, who gave me the best haircut and service and completely changed my day for the better. I had dreads for 13 years and decided to cut and comb them out only to discover I now had curly hair with no clue what to do with it. Athena chatted with me and suggested a cut that I felt would be perfect. It is beyond better than I thought possible. She also taught me some tips on styling my curls and ways to play with the shape. Lady smiles, but has a real attitude. Decided she was a better parent than me... her dog growled and barked and startled my daughter, it was her fault and I talked to her about it. Lady came out, I told her my daughter was fine and I talked to her. Lady decided to parent and blame her, she is 7 years old. "Cause and effect, she should know". Who does she think she is? Her dog was very aggressive and could have easily bitten my daughter, jumped thru the screen,he/she is a mean sheep dog. "You can't put your hand in a car or window, or it's your responsibility.." now she's trying to make sure I know I "can't sue her." That dog terrified my daughter, then she came out to scold her for what seemed forever. I tried telling her I talked to her, but she had to be the one to make sure MY daughter knew HER way of life. "Eye contact means you understand me!" Finally, after staring a hole in her, I told her "for the third time my daughter is fine" then I shushed her along. She still had more words... wtf. Why? I had an appointment with Brittni to get 5" of my waist length hair cut. I also wanted some layers, but didn't have a clear picture in my head of what kind would look best on me. I gave Brittni a general idea of what I wanted, and she delivered perfectly! My first time at Honeycomb and really my first time getting a professional haircut in the 32 yrs I have been in the US. I had a bad experience early on so I never dared to try again. I would do trims at home or at fast cut places from time to time but never an actual hairstyle change. And really, I was taught to believe since I was a child that my curly hair was a "condition" I would have to deal with for the rest of my life and the only solution was straightening it. Anyway, that changed yesterday when I met with Brittni. She was so nice and took time to learn about me and my hair. She cut my hair dry which was amazing because I knew immediately what my cut looked like and there were no surprises as it is the case when curly hair is cut wet and you have to wait for it to dry and hope for the best! We were talking the whole time about tips for my type of hair and the cut went by so fast. Brittni showed me tips and tricks that I already started using and this morning I had the same look I had out of the salon, in a few minutes. I don't love my type of hair but I love that I found someone who taught me how to like my hair and work with it and not against it. I was tired of always having my hair tied and all the flyaways sticking up, specially in this OR weather. Now I have a short hairstyle, easy to style, easy to shampoo and condition and I can even change it up with a tiara or a hair clip but it will always be down, which is a huge change. My white hairs are also less noticeable. Very happy and I wish I knew my hair could do this years ago. Honeycomb is a nice salon. The booking process online was so cool and easy. Love all the live plants and interesting stuff for sale. I was offered a drink right away. It was nice to have a hot cup of coffee in a cold day. Brittni as I said before was awesome and I will keep going back to her. Easy to talk to. No pressure. No awkwardness. Today was my 3rd time to this salon. The first time my hair was amazing. The second time I had the same stylist but she made my lowlights so light that I looked super blonde. Not what I wanted. I have no idea why she changed it. Anyway, I made an appointment to get highlights done again, but this time for the lowlights to be darker. The stylist was super nice but she only did the lowlights. When she was blow drying my hair I got the feeling she was done so I said we're adding my highlights too right. She said no. That the front desk girl has only scheduled me for lowlights. I told her I still wanted the highlights though because my hair has grown out with that blonde and my greys are showing and I always get highlights. She said there wasn't time because of how the scheduler scheduled me. I'm so upset. The lowlights are great but that doesn't change the fact that my dark roots have grown out, you can still see my greys, and it looks unfinished. They couldn't get me scheduled back in for another month for the highlights. I have paid so much money here and feel like I was rushed out instead of getting the service I wanted. I don't think that's right. The stylists should have the ability to make sure the client gets what we want rather than worrying about appointments. I feel like this falls on management or ownership for creating that mentality. Is it honeycombs culture to herd us in and out, or make sure we get what we want done to our hair before we leave? For the prices they charge we should leave with what we want. Period. read more

My experience here with Kacie was perfect! I was changing from long hair to short and gray to a coppery brown and she nailed both the cut and color.
