For this reason I haven't gotten my nails done after leaving California and moving here as my last nail tech I had met by chance through a agency I was contracted with at a fashion show (they mandated I had my nails done and would send me to different techs they had contracted) and I never thought I would find someone as great as her until I went here! The vibe is super friendly and welcoming and let me just say the quality of nails ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! The prices are also incredibly low for the quality you are getting! She didn't hurt me or make me flinch once which again with my nails is super hard because they are so thin the dremmles get hot a lot quicker on them. With her though? Not a single ounce of pain or mishap. Another thing is I get my nails very short and natural looking which is hard as the shorter you go the more bubbly nails can look because of how powder sits but she took the extra time to make sure they looked perfect and as natural as physically possible! On top of that they are holding up EXTREAMLY well which again is hard to accomplish on a nail bed that is so short! But the worst of all, it's one of the more awful nail jobs I've ever had (and I've had bad!). The technician who worked on me didn't even touch my cuticles or do any moisturizing or any of those things that are fundamental to every manicure (regular, gel, acrylic, I've done them all). Apparently I said no to that upsell. I had one particularly bad cuticle that she finally tried to trim before I left. The (gel) polish on that finger chipped before I even got home. On day two, one gel peeled completely off and there was a chip on my big toe. Day 3, another gel peeled off. Bad experience on all counts. Today, 8/13/2026: Wow, I was about to post another awful experience I had at this salon, and there was still this text sitting in the comment box, apparently I never posted it. So this was at least 3 years ago and I guess my memory faded...the convenience and competitive price (not amazing, but a little lower than some places in Albany/Corvallis) must have clouded my judgement. I am going to post the new review next. JK yelp doesn't want a new post so close (I guess), I have to edit this one. If I wait, I might get that 3-year brain fog again. So sorry this will be a crazy long 2-time review. My gel manicure about a week ago had chipped by the very next day. I went back to get them fixed, and all the tech did was apply more layers of gel polish and top coat. It didn't look great but okay whatever. By the end of the next day after the "fix," the polish had started loosening around the edges, and one on my index finger just popped right off as a whole. The other index finger was next...and over a couple more days they were all peeling at the edges (except my pinkies), and I had to peel them the rest of the way because they were just hanging there. I should have taken pictures sooner, but I found one of the index finger gels that popped off, and I'm attaching a picture with that and how my hand has looked since about 4 days after the worst gel mani ever ((taken today, I haven't had time to do anything more about it).
